Hello everyone~ I now have an emotional connection to an insect which is unexpected and weird. But it's a friend now, so I want to have a fakemon character that represents it's species. The story behind this: Rules 1) All Pokeheroes rules apply ? 2) You must read everything in this thread 3) Designs that ignore wishes I specified (later in this post) will be disqualified, but you may change and re-submit your design. I will notify users who submitted designs that don't qualify via PM. 4) Designs that don't win my contest, may not be resold or reused in any way if they look to similar to the winner. This is because I'm taking my right to own the idea to the design and it's name "Satellight" together. Designs that look very unique to the winning entries can be discussed to be their own fakemon/character and may not use the name Satellight, but we will discuss these cases after the contest has ended. 5) You may not participate if you are on my blocklist. 6) You may submit multiple designs but I will judge quality over quantity, Prizes 1st Prize (Will 100% be distributed to one of the users who enter) This pretty SM Gengar:  + 2000 nuggets + another 2000 nuggets if at least three people enter (entries who ignore requirements will not be counted) Runner-up Mozzie's Art Voucher~ Details: • You may commission me from my artshop free of charge • You may choose any kind of commission type listed there • You may request art for up to 3 characters in one artwork* • You can order even when all slots are filled *This does not apply to sprites and pagedolls. You may get 3 different sprites and pagedolls though! Participation-prize Every participant whose entry is qualified, may choose any one Pokémon from this box They are all either shiny, mega-able or shadow mon. Every participant will recieve an item gift upon submission of a qualified entry. The design itself - requirements Evolution line • It must be a three stage evolution and the artwork must show all three stages • The third stage must be called "Satellight" the first two stages can be named but this is optional • The line must resemble this species, called "Satellite moth" • Each must be bug type but you can optionally add a second type if fitting • It is allowed to make an evolution line that has two different end evolutions or is split in a different way Colors and pattern • Keep the colors natural, in nice greens to browns. • You may ad smaller details in other colors, but nothing vibrant or flashy • It can have any pattern but stripes are preferred over dots Attributes • No fur/hairs on the first stage! • First stage- bonus points for cute little legs. Aka if it doesn't look like a worm • Second stage should be identified as a cocoon, but you can have any creative approach to that • Many bonus points if third stage has bright/white dots like the real satellite moth that glow in the dark Bonus points if Ref includes • extra views for details • Creative and unique ideas • MQ or HQ artworks You may participate with these mediums ✓ Digital art ✓ Pixel art* ✓ Lineart ✓ Lineless art ✓ Traditional art** ✗ Bases ✗ Traced or stolen art *Please don't submit sprites or works that are too small to be a reference for other drawings **The work must be visible very clearly and not suffer from bad lighting or other aspects (preferably use a scanner) Judging When judging the designs, I will take into consideration: • Quality of the ideas/approach • Quality of the artwork • Wether or not the artist paid attention to wishes • If the fakemon just looks like it actually has a personality* • I will be nonbiased and ignore personal relations to the user who submitts an artwork • Though I will pay attention to the style used** • I will have two nonbiased judges who don't know anything about Pokémon judge the artworks as well *I like designs that look like they could be something real that lives and thinks. This doesn't have to be extreme, it could just be a cute face that makes the fakemon look very adorable and loveable! **I am weak for art that is semi-realistic with natural colors, preferring thin lines or none at all, rather than thick black lines. Please don't line with pure black, it's no good for any art.. And finally, to the submission of your artwork. • Please use sites that aren't infecting my pc with viruses and pop-ups when I want to view the art. Yes, I'm looking at you, imgbb.com. I will not click links from that page. To be 100% sure upload it to sta.sh on deviantart or imgur.com. I will download all entries so none get lost. • You may add a copyright to your entry. This can be as big as you want while the contest is open. • If your design wins I need a ref that has none or a small copyright so the design can be viewed without problems. I will of course credit you for the design when using it! • You may post a link in this thread or send it to me privately via Palpad or PM, both options are fine and will count! • I will show already submitted entries here for everyone to view, also with date of submission, so if I see an idea obviously stolen I know who was the first to have it.
