When Rosepetal woke again she found herself in an empty nest. "Oh kits," she purred softly, heaved herself up onto her paws. "Uff, I can't wait to lose this extra weight."

	Shadedfur jumped reflexively as water sprayed her pelt. The she-cat let out a nasty hiss at Fernwing. She hated being wet, more than most cats, but rather than snap about it she simply stalked further up the bank and safely out of splash range. [Read more]

She looked at her leader curiously. First invited to the patrol, and now asked to lead it? Her tail swished as suspicion sharpened her eyes. "Then we'll head closer to the stream. You can teach your kittypet how to fish." With that she took the lead through the rest of the forest and towards the stream. The bubbling water could be heard long before they saw it, the water level seemed to be higher then normal, she notice as the reeds parted to let the cats onto the bank.

	"Cover your prey and let's keep moving. Should our leader allow of course." Was that scorn in her mew? Or perhaps that was just the way Shadedfur spoke, it was difficult to tell. The she-cat prayed to Starclan that the leader would move on, and not expect a hunting demonstration from her. All cats clan born knew she had the hunting skills of an epileptic rabbit. [Read more]

Another snort and the short tempered she-cat stepped over to the apprentice. "Wrong." A small paw forced Thornpaw's tail down. "Prey will see your tail and flee before you have a chance to size it up." The same paw jabbed under Thornpaw, lifting her up enough to force her hind end backwards. "Bunching together loses you speed. You'd hardly catch the oldest mouse in the territory."

Stepping away Shadedfur found Thornpaw in a decent enough stance. "Now don't mess anything up and you might have a chance for something. Even if it is scrawny and stupid."

Fox couldn't help but snicker as the poor little trainer girl folded in on herself. A trainer without self confidence was pitiable at best, and oh so amusing. The red head roller her shoulders, pulling a disgruntled noise from the Eevee. "You can't go running off like that Lucky. If you end up evolving you'll be at least 6 feet tall and if I can't trust you to follow my orders I'll have to keep you in the ball." Lucky whimpered at the thought and Fox sighed before bending down to lift the fire puppy into her arms, his front paws resting on top of them and his hind legs hanging below them.

"No, he's not." Her lip was bitten between her teeth and Fox let out a sharp whistle. Lucky jerked and ran back to her side with his tail tucked low. "Sit." The growlithe complied in an instant, looking up at his master intently. "He's supposed to listen to all my orders." Her green eyes glared at the pup until Lucky whimpered softly, ears held low. She kept this up for a moment, then her features softened. "Alright, go ahead."

As her canine companion leaped back up onto his paws to once more play with Jasper Fox turned to face the other girl. "You don't know that yet. Who knows? You might wind up hating me," she answered with a smirk.

Hawkins shuddered against her neck. The evolution pokemon hated spiders of all kinds. However he glanced at Nihme and rolled his eyes and looked away. Already tired of her.

Lucky's pointed ears raised and his head lifted to stick his twitching nose in the air, taking in the scents while the Eevee wrapped himself around the back of Fox's neck, resting on her shoulders with a bored yawn. Before the trainer could speak Lucky turned and ran towards the entrance to the dining hall and the newest entrant Nihme.

"Lucky heel!" But the growlithe kept going, barking excitedly at Jasper with his fluffy tail wagging back and forth in a blurr.

"It's in four hours why do we have to meet up now?" She sucked in a long drag of smoke and released it all through her nose in an irritated sigh. The butt was flicked to the ground and Fox reluctantly pushed herself back onto her feet. Lucky used the fire of his Ember to burn it into harmless ashes.

Gloved fingers curled around the PokeBall acting as the pendant to her necklace. "Not a problem for you Lucky, you hate this thing." She pulled a second ball from her belt and pressed the white button to release her second companion. Hawkins touched the ground with small paws and lifted his nose up in disgust. Dirt? She summoned him on dirt? Hawkin's snuffed loudly and Fox held out her arm. "Come on, hop up before your claws get dirty," she teased with a roll of her eyes.

With Eevee on her shoulder and Growlithe hugged in her arms Fox entered the camp site and headed for the dining hall.

"Why do I have to go to this stupid summer camp anyway," Fox grumbled, her gloved hands shoved into the tight pockets of her pants. A tiger striped dog pranced at her side, tongue lulling from his mouth in happy pants. From time to time he'd see something in the flower fields on the side of the path and dive into the brightly colored plants, but he'd always wind up back at his master's side. 'Grow, grooowlith.'

A smirk pulled her lips and the girl leaned down to scratch her fingers over a pointed ear. "I'd rather just go on my own adventure. Not play silly games at camp." The welcome sign could just be seen up ahead and the red head paused before crouching down to set her back pack on the ground. After a bit of searching she pulled a beaten down pack of cigarettes and plucked one from it. The butt was placed between her lips and she leaned over. Lucky blew a soft puff of fire, letting his master light the stick.

Fox pulled in a long drag of the deadly smoke and let it out in a slow billow. "Thanks Luck."
