She immediately shifts, and nuzzles into the palm of Thalia’s hands. “These three are not my only companions. I would have brought Elysium along if I’d known that was allowed. My dragon, Elysium” She gestures to a drawing of a black and red dragon, that she drew.

Lifei walked over to the target station, and turned it off to the maximum level. She waved at Charlie, before running straight for a wall, scaling it before doing a backflip and flinging the throwing star. It landed perfectly on the target. She leaped from wall to wall, swinging from the gym ropes as she flung throwing star after throwing star. She dangles using a singular foot, as her hair loosely falls, framing her face. She lands perfectly, somewhat in a crouching position. She stands up, grinning, as she sweeps hair out of her face, going to check her scoreboard

“Hey Midnight” She mumbles as the dark element wolf eagerly leaps up onto her lap. Dusk and Dawn are capering around the legs of Samton’s makeshift bed. The two are playing catch, and Dawn squeals before leaping onto Samton’s lap, as Dusk nearly tags her. Midnight growls, telling them to let Samton rest, but the growl seems more threatening than warning. Thalia chuckles, “Stand down, darlin. we wouldn’t want death in the castle now, would we.” Though, she doesn’t specify what kind of death

Lifei tilted her head in confusion. “Oh” she mumbles, before switching to an octoling tongue to sing a song. She sang so fluently one might have thought she was a native. Though, in reality, she just really liked that song and committed herself to memorizing it. She hands Charlie a tissue, before handing her a star shaped locket, and to Blossom a seashell shaped one. They were friendship lockets, and fitted perfectly with each other.

Upon seeing Charlie becoming sad, Lifei pulls the girl into her lap, singing a soothing lullaby and rocking her back and forth gently as she runs her fingers through Charlie’s hair.

“Every night you’ll hear her croon
A Russian lullaby
Just a little plaintive tune
When baby starts to cry
Rock-a-bye my baby
Somewhere there may be
A land that’s free for you and me
And a Russian lullaby”

She folds the paper and tucks it into Charlie’s hand, out of sight for now. She then smiles at Blossom, before writing on a piece of paper “Can you tell me what that means?” , before pushing the paper with the scribbled words on it towards Blossom

“Why was it your aunt who came to ‘visit’ you, and not your adoptive mother?” Lifei asked, a little hesitant. This was going to be like treading on eggshells, but to be able to protect Charlie, she was willing to do it. She coos softly at Blossom, encouraging her. The little scribbles actually look like they form a octopus. She points it out to Blossom, as she gazes at the paper of a family and the house Charlie drew. She then turns to Blossom. “Can you show me your native tongue?”

Why are the people frowning?” She asked, looking over at the paper, while letting Blossom sit on her lap as she moved to sit beside Charlie. “You look pretty, that’s a really nice drawing.” Lifei commented, as she gestured to the one with the words ‘mom’ written on it. Scarlett woke up, hanging from the ceiling. She sighs, before flying to breakfast, slowly folding her large tattered wings and using her claws to pick at a particular pastel blue fruit with a hard shell. She waves to Angie, saying “Hi there” In reality, she was just waving to Lukian, but Angie didn’t need to know that.

Lifei awoke, in her own bed. Was it morning already? She packed a small bag, and got out of bed. She then went to breakfast, making some avocado and eggs on toast, along with waffles. The waffles were a homemade recipe, and she honestly didn’t care whether the Peacekeepers allowed them to cook or not. They, to her, were irrelevant, dumb and senseless people. She sat opposite Charlie and Blossom, giving them a small smile before eating

Lifei casts Maci a weak smile, before rushing over to Blossom, and helping her into a sitting position. “Are you alright?” She asked Blossom quietly, as she ushered Charlie over to rest beside Blossom. She suddenly whipped her head around, eyes glowing in anger, and nearly giving herself whiplash. “If you—“ Lifei pauses mid-speech, inhaling as she recalls what Maci says. “Oh. Well, it’s fine. Mind if I stay here for a while, just until Blossom recovers from her daze?” She asks, now looking softer, her features softening, the glare disappearing as she faces Maci with a smile.

Lifei tugged at Charlie’s hand gently, her papers of her sketchbook flying into a frenzy. “Let’s go find—“ The smack of Blossom in squid form hitting the wall alerted her, and her “mama bear” instincts told her Blossom was the one who had hit the wall. Her face paled with fear, and she half-dragged. Half-carried Charlie out of the room, and in her panic, her power went haywire. Dead bodies everywhere started crawling out of the ground, before hovering over their graves, moving around, a mass headed all toward where the tributes were. Lifei reached the room Maci was in, and knocked sharply. “Blossom? Are you in there? Did you get hurt?”

Lifei scoops Charlie up with a smile, cooing softly at the girl. The two are sitting in the room peacefully together, reading a book and chatting about random stuff, mainly clothes and the like. Lifei had just finished a sketch for Charlie’s new outfit, which she planned to make, when she realised something wrong. Charlie’s outfit was to be varying tones of purple, for combat and elegance. Upon request, Lifei would also braid Charlie’s hair and tie it with a purple flower. Then, Lifei suddenly realised something. “Charlie...where’s Blossom?” She asked, getting slightly paranoid, looking around for any clues.

“Hello Blossom. How’d you already crinkle your kimono?” Lifei asked. “Are you alright? I heard noises. Where’s Charlie?” She asked, gently, as she smoothened out Blossom’s kimono, and retied the bow. She gently changed the bow, tying it a different way. “You know, if you aren’t comfortable with this, you should change to something more informal, but still fit for combat. If you don’t have any I can lend you some. I’m pretty sure I have some that would fit you...and Charlie if she’d like”

Lifei was roomed with Scarlett, which she didn’t mind, not at all. It reminded her of the days the pair of them used to hide in the storeroom and do their own random stuff together, and always ending up burning something. The two chatted for a while, before Scarlett sensed a sort of demon altar, or something of that sort. She flew to check it out, and landed near Angie’s room.

Lifei meanwhile, went to find Blossom and Charlie. She walked around, attracted by the noise Terra was making. “Charlie? Blossom? Are you guys in there?”

Scarlett smiled. “I’m not gonna hurt her, Lukian. I just wanna find out how she’s doing and such. And you’ll never beat me in a fight, let alone kill me. Don’t worry, I won’t Attack unless you force my hand” She grins, pulling out a sort of ring, a beautiful one, and handed it to Lukian. “Check it if you want, but I hope you‘ll let her accept the gift. She gestures to a invisible Angie.

Lifei smiles, before raising her hand, and plucking a staff from the sky. She returns her hood, a blue rimmed one. She then slams her staff into the ground, and it tinkled like a bell. This causes her accessory box to disappear, and she steps away, playing with a stack of cards. She then starts performing, slamming her staff into the ground alternately, before her cards transformed back into a fan as she twirled around. This dance was one of power, and strength, showing the Peacekeepers that they should never mess with the tributes. She finished with a flourish, flicking her wrist, a ninja star flying towards a hiding Peacekeeper and narrowly missing him.

Would you like a flower too?” Lifei asked kindly, as she patiently braided the lily into Charlie’s hair. “You look stunning.” Lifei praised, before smoothing out Blossom’s kimono, which was slightly crumpled. She also retied the bow, making sure the pair looked picture-perfect. She then took out an accessory box, and held it out for the pair to choose.

“Hello. And who might you be?” Lifei asked smilingly, bending down to look at the new octoling-inkling. She bent down to Charlie, braiding a similar braid for her, that poked out from her pretty blue cap. She didn’t put any flower at the end this time, instead gesturing with a gentle smile for Charlie to open her “inventory”. Lifei wanted to use one of Charlie’s own flowers this time.

Scarlett wore a red hood with a crop top like outfit, that exposed her toned stomach. A long, bloody scratch was visible, supposedly claws raking through skin. She had a red peony in her hair, and ripped jeans. She looked somewhat like a rebellious teenager

Meanwhile, Lifei went for a subtle, blue fighting gear. Something more gentle, but deadly and stunning at the same time. She braided her hair into a long plait, with a lily in her hair, and twirled out, to where the tributes gathered. She hummed, smoothly and gracefully walking up to Charlie. “Hello, Charlie” she sang out.

Scarlett grins, waving at Lukian. She then notices the girl beside Lukian, and looks at her with interest.

Lifei smiles at Maci, but doesn’t say much. Instead, she bows again to Charlie, smiling at the little girl. She hands Charlie another flower, a tulip this time, and then swirls her dress around, humming a song only Charlie could hear. The song is soothing, and Lifei hopes it can chase away Charlie’s fears.

Scarlett grins, and leans down from the roof of the carriage, smiling manically, but not threateningly, at Lukian. “Hiii~” A high pitched, sing song voice, as she peeks in from the window. Scarlett’s technically dead, so she can’t die again. Her soul simply possessed the body of a demon. It was complicated, and she honestly could be bothered to explain it.

Meanwhile, Lifei was eavesdropping on all their conversations as she passed through the cabins in a slow serene dance. Kyr and Suvansh, Eric and Zoe, Maci, Cherry, Terra, Charlie. She swaps out her fan for a long roll of silk, her hair long with few small braids in between. She lingers at Maci, Terra and the others’ carriage. It seemed the most interesting
