"Hey man." Riles said, accepting the hand. "Any idea how we got here? And on that note, what those things back there were?" He asked. He looked at the person's face. He seemed much older than Riles.

Riles heard someone shouting in the distance. "Oh, s**t." He muttered and started jumping rooftops towards the sound. Of the person was shouting at those things... well, he didn't like to imagine what would happen.

It took Riles a couple of seconds to reach her. He looked at her and decided she was normal. "Hey." He said in a way of greeting. "Any idea-" but he fell silent. The group of three soldiers that he had seen earlier were now limping past the house. He watched from the rooftop until they were gone. "What the hell are those things?" He asked himself. Then he looked back at the girl. "Any idea where we are?" He asked.

Riles saw her climb up a wall. The three figures in the distance were coming closer. He looked around. He wasn't as agile as the girl, so he took a slightly less creative route. He battered down the door to a house and climbed up to the roof. With that, he started jumping across rooftops towards where the girl went.

Jacob saw a girl, halfway down the street and ducked down an alley. He looked again. She had short hair and fairly worn out clothes. It was hard to tell of she was normal or... whatever the hell he had seen back there. He thought about what to do and slowly raised his hand and tapped against the wall three times, quietly. He hoped the sound would get her attention. It was only then that he saw three more uniformed figures in the distance. He swore under his breath.

Riles was just getting up. He grabbed his gun and started walking again, not caring where he was going, as long as he was moving. Suddenly, the world seemed to warp. He raised his weapon, but felt it wretched away from his hand. He swore and turned around, but before he could do anything, there was a blinding flash of light and he was face down on the ground.

His ears were ringing. He waited for his eyes to adjust to the sudden darkness before he got up. His goggles had cracked slightly on the upper left side and he felt something hot and wet trickling down the side of his head. He automatically reached for his pistol, just to find it wasn't there. He looked around. He was standing in the middle of a ruined street. Bright fires lit the scene. Blood splattered walls. He looked to the sky. Thin pillars of smoke extended up to the dark clouds. He had no idea where he was.
Not knowing what else to do, he started walking forward cautiously. Everything appeared to be deserted. Then, in the distance, a single person, their back towards him, in an army uniform. "Soldier!" He barked. "Any idea where we are?" He asked. The person turned towards him to reveal a ruined, blood splattered face. He started walking towards Riles. Riles swore and turned around, tearing down the street as fast as he could. "What the hell is going on?" He muttered.

I'm stuck on phone, so hope that works. If not, here is a link.

Attributes (i.e. mental or physical strengths): He's stronger than most people, so he can lift objects such as crates or break down doors to clears paths or use against enemies. Is pretty good at hitting his target. The survival skills that come with his training can come in handy.
History (optional): Jacob led a pretty average life up till seventeen, when both his parents died in a car accident. Not qualifying for university, he looked around for alternatives and landed himself in the marines. It turned out that this was a good choice as his superiors described him as a 'natural'. He rose through the ranks until he had tactical control of a four man Special Operations strike team. They soon became good friends to him. On their fifth mission together, one of them failed to move into position in time. Due to this, the entire team was killed and Riles was severely injured. After being nursed back to health, he went temporarily crazy with grief and went AWOL. It was during this time that everything went to hell when he was transported back
Other: Mixed personality. He tries to be kind, but can be rude. Occasionally, he's just brutally honest. Carries a slightly better than usual loadout.

Didact and Jorge both hefted their weapons. Jorge let lose a spray of machine gun fire while Didact unleashed hell it his Incineration Cannon. "They aren't that tough." Jorge remarked. "You think so?" Didact asked. "Then get ready for the next part."

"Yeah, I wouldn't describe even the Elders as gods of war. They're just even more talented at blowing s**t up than me. And admitted, that is a pretty big achievement." Didact shrugged. Jorge gave a low chuckle. "And... er... about two days before the Approach is in any condition to fly." Didact added.

"True enough. But that doesn't mean I can't pick up and fight with an Energy Sword." Didact muttered. "And I still fail to see how it's a smart move. I mean, before, we had more or less no idea how to kill you. Now we do. And yes, knowing how to kill you does tend to make it easier to... you know... kill you. Hold on, why are we still talking about this?"

"You're just telling a bunch of people how to kill you." Didact observed. "Smart move. Do you need a microphone to announce that to the rest of the world?"

"Okay, this Theark... do you two know where to find it?" Didact asked, looking at Taker and Hoodie. "Or access it?" Jorge had built now grown tired of holding his minigun and had stowed it away.

"Yeah, but if you were anyone else, your hand would be broken by now and you would be disintegrating." Didact snapped back, annoyed by Levex. "Look, we just need a nice, flat, open space. Then the Sphinxes can fortify it. And before you know it," He slapped Levex's hand, "you have a strategic location. Any questions?" He asked.

"A plan?" Didact asked. "Does shoot at it from a strategic location seem good enough for you?"
"We're going to need a better plan than that." Jorge muttered.

"Don't worry kid, that thing tries to attack us again, it's got another thing coming." Didact said firmly. Jorge nodded. The War Sphinxes looked down at everyone, not saying anything, but the blue Hardlight seemed to glow slightly brighter.

"Sorry for taking you out twice." Jorge said. Didact's lips twitched upwards. "Now that we have that out of the way, we should get out of this forest."

Didact was surprised. Galadriel had never struck him as the type who could forgive and Skye preferred to blow everything up. So it was the last thing he had expected Atariel to do. Didact walked over. "Thanks." He nodded

Didact wondered if there was any way of tracking the monster. Taking the fight to the enemy had worked well for him in the past. But that was when he actually knew what the enemy was.
