As the carriages approached, the main building of the academy would slowly appear in the distance.

Despite its sheer size, it was like a drop in the ocean compared to the rest of the campus that hid behind. On the ground floor was an open reception area, also doubling up as a library. It's light, yet cozy, with a choice of desks or mini lounge areas for seating. For privacy, students may use the dedicated private study rooms, seeing that they are utilized respectfully. In the center of the room is a large round desk, hosted by several friendly receptionists. They are there to answer any questions students may have: do not be afraid to ask!

Two staircases embrace the sides of the central desk, leading up to the first floor in a spiraling manner. For those unable to use the stairs, there are two elevators on either side of the entrance to the main building. Both, stairs and lift, meet in a large gallery that's lit with natural light. Its walls are adorned with framed photographs that capture the short history of the institute. In the gallery, there a two doors. One leading to the east wing and the other to the west wing. Classrooms - used primarily for theory-based lessons - are all located on the first floor of the main building. Rarely, classes that typically take place here may require students to relocate. Students will always be notified of these classroom changes.

West wing classes: Art (A1); History (H1); Language and Literature (L1); Music (Mu1)
East wing classes: Geography (Ge1); Math (M1); Science (Sc1)

When not in use, classrooms are often used for clubs. Students must first gain permission from the Head of Houses before creating a club. Once approved, they'll be allowed to use the classrooms outside of lesson time, including weekends when lessons do not take place. However, students will be expected to take care of the classrooms, ensuring they are left clean and tidy for when lessons start. Any damage will result in loss of Houst Points, or worst-case scenario, expulsion from the academy.

The second floor of the academy may only be accessed by staff members, requiring a key card to take the elevators to that floor. Students are forbidden from entering this area and may face immediate expulsion if caught. This is to protect, both, students and staff. The elevators open to a communal area, a long table sitting in the center of the room, which is generally used for staff meetings. At the back, there's a kitchen area for those who prefer to make their own meals, despite being allowed to eat from the food court. Staff quarters are also located on this floor. They are much larger than the student dorms, consisting of a sleeping area, ensuite, and a separate personal office area.

When the carriages begin to filter in before coming to a complete halt outside of the main building, students are kindly asked by the rangers to wait outside and ready their identification, whilst the enrollment packages go through the final phase of being sorted.

"Dew of the Sea"

Lady Rosemary had pretty much spent her entire life either on or by the sea, so the trip had little effect on her, unlike those who had to hide away with sea sickness. She had spent the majority of the journey up at the bow of the SS Victory, just like in that one scene in the movie - The Titanic - about a ship sailing from Galar to Unova, only to hit a gigantic Avalugg and sink. Thankfully, the SS Victory did not sink. Whilst Roe was a competent swimmer, she cringed at the thought of having to ruin the new sundress that she'd bought especially for enrolment day.

Roe had returned to her cabin just moments before the ship pulled into the docks. Retrieving her luggage, she drags the heavy suitcase behind her with one hand, tightly gripping the straw-woven sun hat on her head with the other, as she steps off of the boat. There's a glimmer in her crimson eyes and her jaw drops in awe as she takes in the beauty of her surroundings. Excitement bubbled within her, and when her eyes landed on the fairytale-esque carriages, Roe let out a little squeal of happiness.

"Can students please make their way to the next available carriages! I repeat, can students please make their way to the next available carriages! We will be leaving shortly!"

An academy ranger calls out from the front of the crowd, snapping Roe out of her daze. 'R-right..!' she panics, internally, her feet moving promptly, weaving her in and out of her future peers quickly, in hopes of finding a seat. She arrives at an empty carriage at the back, the leading Rapidash giving her the side-eye at her flustered state. Roe slips into the seats, releasing her luggage, and finally being able to relax.

Roe isn't too hard to miss with her long, fiery red hair, with radiant doe eyes to match. Her pale skin is dotted with a constellation of freckles, a feature that she's grown to adore despite being bullied for them when she was younger. Despite being a little skittish at times, Roe is otherwise a bright and optimistic girl with a smile as bright as the sun, which she loves. Rosemary always wishes to do the right thing and wholeheartedly believes that others should too, in order to make the world a happier place. Despite having spent the majority of her life in Dewford Town, Hoenn, Roe's roots go all the way back to the Paldea region. A gentle breeze ruffles their manes. The scene itself looked like something from a fairytale. Lust, green flora; Pristine, golden sands. Everything was almost too perfect to believe that this isle was the host of an academy: The academy you had been lucky enough to enroll in.

It's your first year and there are lots of things to look forward to.

Pokémon Legacy

Region Location: Galar

The Isle of Honour - located just off of the northeastern coast of Galar - had been left untouched before the construction of the academy took place, ten years ago. Vast with rolling green hills, tall mountains, and beautiful lakes and reservoirs: the land was chosen to host the elite school, due to its immense beauty. Besides the academy and a small port on the coast, the surrounding wild area makes up about 90% of the island. Rangers, who operate with the academy, work their hardest to keep the equilibrium of peace between the people and Pokémon. Despite having not been established for very long, the academy has become a popular choice for young aspiring trainers across the globe.

The Academy of Honour

Enrollment

In order to enroll, students must have, first, applied for their Pokémon Trainer License and must be able to present it on the day of enrollment. Students without this will be rejected, due to being unable to handle Pokémon, which is essential for all courses. The second step for enrollment is an entrance exam, to be taken online. For some, it may not appear too difficult. However, it's known for catching out young beginners who may not have studied beforehand. The exam covers mainly general knowledge.

Having scored high enough on the exam, students who are chosen for enrollment will then be further contacted for a short remote interview. This is just for the academy to get to know the students a bit more, and learn about the courses they're looking to take. Meanwhile, the officials conducting the interviews are subtly looking deeper into the students' answers, which is what allows the academy to assign students to their Houses.

Facilities

The academy, itself, is made up of three floors. The ground floor: a large, open reception that doubles as a library. The main desk is located here and is the place for students to go if they have any queries. The first floor is entirely classrooms for theory-based lessons. Meanwhile, the second floor is limited to staff only, holding their private quarters, as well as a communal staff room.

Dormitories are split into three separate buildings, one for each of the houses. Each student gets a single room with the freedom to decorate, and a private ensuite. Housekeepers will keep rooms tidy during the day. It’s also their job to make sure that: students wake up in time for breakfast, students aren’t loitering in the rooms during lesson hours, and students aren’t awake after lights out. They will report any suspicious activity to the House Leaders.

Other on-campus facilities include the Food Court, Contest Hall, Battle Hall, Laboratory, Nursery, and Sports Arena.

Houses

House of Swords | House of Hearts | House of Shields

There are three Houses within the academy, and which a student is placed into is decided during their interview. Those in the House of Swords are instinctual, needing very little time to come to a decision. On the other hand, those in the House of Shields are planners, often requiring a little more time than others. For those in the House of Hearts, decisions are commonly swayed by their feelings.

Students may earn House Points for excellent behavior, work, or participating in events. However, they can also lose them for misbehavior. At the end of the year, the house with the most points will be generously rewarded. Furthermore, the student with the most points will receive the Crown of Honour.

With each house, the uniform differs slightly.

Everyone will be expected to wear, as standard: a white shirt (long or short-sleeved), black bottom-half (long pants, knee-length shorts, or a skirt), plain socks (black, white, or house coloured), shoes in a sensible style (either black or brown). A sweater is optional. Students will be expected to also wear, in their house's colour: a blazer and tie (or ribbon).

Pokémon

Students will have one Pokémon that they will be partnered with during their stay. On their application, students will be allowed to pick up to three different Pokémon types that they would like their partner to be. Naturally, the fewer picked, the narrower the choices will be. Partners are picked on enrollment day - it is the last thing that happens, after settling into dorms, and sitting through the welcome ceremony - and simulates how a trainer would typically pick their starters. Presented with three pokéballs, and without seeing their choices, students will be allowed to pick one. Each of these Pokémon is bred with the utmost care, at the academy's nursery.

As students progress through the academy, they will be given access to the surrounding wild area. Whilst students may not catch any further Pokémon, they may use Honour Balls - a Pokéball designed by the academy - to temporarily capture wild Pokémon for assignments. Any pokémon caught using Honour Balls must be declared when returning to the academy, and all pokémon must be released within twenty-four [24] hours of being caught unless given permission by the House Leaders.

Staff members may carry a full pokémon team.

Courses

There are three main courses at the Academy of Honour: battling, co-ordinating, and Pokémon research. Battling consists of just that: exploring different forms of battling, different tactics, team building, etc. Meanwhile, co-ordinating isn't just "battling but pretty", but here, students may pursue similar careers such as acting or music. In the research classes, you may be out in the wild area one day, or helping out at the nursery the next.

Students do not have to commit to just a single course, and can branch out to several should they wish. There are also minor courses that students can take, including culinary, sports, and history, to name a few.

Once students are finished with their main classes for the day, they're able to spend their free time studying or participating in clubs. Clubs are often organised by other students and are a great way to find friends with similar interests.

Plot Lines & Events

Primary: You are a student, lucky enough to enroll at the Academy of Honour. It's your first year and there's lots to look forward to. Make friends, rivals, and aim to excel in your classes. There's always something going on around campus to keep you busy.

Secondary: The headmaster has been on leave for a year now - who knows what he's up to, or where he's gone. Suddenly, just a few weeks into the school year, the isle's rangers report a dark storm moving towards the academy, and it's beginning to upset the wild Pokémon.

Festivals: Seasonal festivals take place across the year, lasting a weekend each. Students can expect a range of fun-filled games, performances, and tasty seasonal foods. Participating in festivals is a great way for students to earn points for their houses

Royal Rumble!: At the end of each month, and during festivals, students can sign up to participate in the Royal Rumble to earn points for their House. Inspired by Alola's Battle Royal Dome, the event initially started out as a small club. As it gained popularity, it was eventually established as an officially organized school affair. Students participate in 1v1v1 battles, and earn points based upon their placing: 1st, 2pts; 2nd, 1pt; 3rd, 0pts.
