Personality: Noelle is a very cold and reserved at first, keeping to herself. Although this is only an act to help people steer clear of her. Regularly she is a kind and warm individual, who has a very bad competitive side.

Back Story: Noelle was born into the Kleoucster family as the first born daughter, a princess of their kingdom. It was a kingdom ravaged by war, an awful place to live. Towns were constantly getting burned to the ground and nobody was allowed to leave. Family’s in the lower class were in constant poverty and misery. This kingdom is one of the enemies of the kingdom that is home to the academy. Her people were hated by other kingdoms, and treated awfully because of war tensions. Most people from this kingdom that even escape are sent back and punished when they return. Noelle, blessed with strong magic from royalty managed to escape and find refuge in the next kingdom over. Which is how she got into the academy under the new name of Mira. In attempts to keep herself safe and others she tries to not make friends but this usually fails.

Name: Klause Morteum

Personality: Just like a ray of sunshine, Klause is a warm and gentle soul. He is known to be silly and fun, welcoming anyone who is willing to talk to him.
Appearance: Standing at a whopping 8”1, Klause has been called a freak of nature. Although he’s very tall, he’s actually quite skinny and frail and he is often hunched over to appear less frightening.

Back Story: Klause comes from the Mortuem family, a family that’s well known for specializing in the making of poisons and disease. Citizens and royal families look at them as freaks because of this reputation. Most in the family are known to be quiet and frightening, but Klause completely separates himself from these stereotypes. With his knowledge from the families secrets, magic, and research he is aspiring to become a mage doctor who heals and finds cures for deadly diseases.

Meya sat a bit farther back in the cave. She was glad everyone was well, but it just didn’t feel right to her that she was here. They used medical supplies on her without even knowing who she was, she shouldn’t have lived. Or at least that’s what she thought. These thoughts in her head were starting to eat away at her.

Kane sat in a tree, it was his hiding spot for the night. He wasn’t able to get any sleep, as nightmares plagued his sleep. Meya’s face as he shot her hung in his memories, haunting him. He still believed he killed her. He had killed many people before, but everyone he had killed had a reason to be killed. The thought that he killed an innocent girl just for food ate away at him. In the heat of the moment he panicked because of her power. “This isn’t gonna do” he said to himself while climbing down the tree.

	Meya awoke from her slumber to hear Alana’s scream, jolting up she ignored her pain. Luckily her legs hadn’t been injured from her encounter yesterday. Upon arriving on the scene she was relieved that nobody had died. But what worried her the most is that someone was able to set a trap that close to their camp. “What here?” She tried to ask Phenix. 	Meya shook her head, “It was like human, but a ghost” she said to Phenix while recounting the memories. From what she remembered, one bullet went through the ghost and the other hit some sort of flesh. It disappeared soon after. It just didn’t make sense to her. [Read more]

Meya winced when she cleaned up the wounds, but didn’t complain. She silently took the painkillers, hesitating to take them at first but she had to keep reminding herself these people wouldn’t hurt her. At least that’s what her gut told her. “He wanted food. No violence. Strange creature fought him” she stitched together her these few broken sentences to try and explain her encounter without saying anything that could hurt them.

	Meya was startled by Maci and quickly tried to back up but her legs wouldn’t move. Upon closer examination you could see blood dripping off both of Meya’s arms, and blood staining her where she got shot in the chest. “P-please” she stuttered. Meya awoke to the sky lighting up, and the dead tributes being honored. Something in her awoke, and she felt a surge of energy. She wanted to live. She wanted to make friends. She wanted to survive! Pulling herself up, she started to slink through the darkness, trying to find a way to medical supplies or any help. She wasn’t confident she would find anyone kind enough to spare her but she was going to try. She is going to live, and live life as a new person.

Meya quietly coughed and felt her chest. The last thing she remembered was being shot in the chest. She over her heart and felt a sticky substance seeping out. She was confused on the mysterious substance, she held it up to her noise and sniffed it. ‘It smells like strawberries!’ she thought. After contemplating for a few minutes she tasted it and it was strawberry jelly. Then it hit her. When the food fell out of the backpack and she scrambled to put things up, she stuffed food in her coat pockets, and she had shoved bread and jelly packets in her left chest pocket. Strawberry jam saved her from the bullet, although it definitely penetrated her skin. Another tribute died right after she was shot. She sat up and tears started to roll down her cheeks, even though she didn’t die here if she couldn’t find medical supplies she was doomed. She still had 3 gunshot wounds and she could barely move. She curled into a ball, losing hope.

Meya dodged through the brush and ducked under branches as she sprinted once more to try and get away from Kane. She was about to lose him, she started to feel relieved until her foot caught a roof and she tumbled to the ground. She rolled and was thrown onto her back, facing Kane who was behind her.

“My condolences to you, you almost had me there.” Kane said while cracking his neck. “I’ve never seen anything like that power, you fought well. No hard feelings” he said while pointing his revolver at her. He reached his other hand out and grabbed onto the bag of food, but she didn’t let go. “You really are a fighter til the end” he said while shooting a bullet into her other arm. It caused her to let go and shriek. He then pointed his gun towards her heart and shot.

“STOP!” Meya managed to yell. The bullet stopped midair and fell to the ground. She coughed and a bit of blood came up.

Kane was caught off guard. He only had one bullet left, and quickly shot it again at her heart. A spurt of red splashed and he waited for the cannon to sound before quickly retreating, seeing as they made so much noise.

Kioku ripped a tribute off his blade, making the cannon sound.

	Kane knee he hit something, but whatever it was that was protecting her was coming closer. He stuck his hand up again and shot two shots at the afterimage. He either needed to defeat this thing, or run. He had planned on robbing other tributes for food so he didn’t go towards the cornucopia. [Read more]

Kane has expected some sort of power from Meya, but nothing like this. When the after image appeared he had jumped back. Ducking behind a rock, he started to think out his options. ‘I still know nothing about her power, which is bad. That just means I’ll have to finish her off quickly’ he thought to himself while opening his right hand. A 6 round revolver appeared in his hand, and he pointed his hand over the rock and a gunshot rang out throughout the forest. The bullet seemed to be heading for the image but it made a sharp curve that shouldn’t have been possible with a gun and headed straight towards Meya. He had a feeling that the image was bad news, and wanted to stay far away. He still didn’t know that the image wasn’t her power.

Meya was taken aback by what seemed to be “protecting” her. What is this?? Is it dangerous to me? she was wrapped up in thought as the bullet came by and hit her in the arm. Kane had clearly been aiming for vitals but him not being able to see her made it difficult. She was knocked to the ground from pain and clutched her arm.

Kane took another step forward, “Don’t make this harder then it has to be young lady. I’d prefer not to use force” he said while opening his hand.

Meya gripped onto the bag tighter and started to back away, not taking her eyes off the man. Her coat was packed with rations that had fallen out of the bag and made her look very strange. “No” she said quietly to Kane. It was apparent that she was shaking with fear.

Kane slowly crept out from behind a tree, a good bit away from Meya. Inching closer he spoke, “That’s a nice bag of food ya got there missy. Hand it over to me before there’s trouble” he beckoned to her. He was keeping his distance since he didn’t know her power.

Meya clumsily dropper her bag of food after being startled. She quickly began to pick it up, stuffing anywhere she had pockets and back into the bag. She couldn’t move, fear was freezing her. During this ordeal neither of them seemed to notice the afterimage that was close.

As the gong rung and the timer ended, Kioku could be seen running into the distance and slinking off into the woods.

Meya swam towards the cornucopia and was able to grab a coat and a backpack full of food. After dodging some swings of a sword she managed to get away from a tribute. Clinging onto the backpack she made a dash for the woods and just barely managed to escape an arrow being shot at her. After what seems like 5 minutes of running she stopped to catch her breath in the woods. She was far in, and would most likely be found soon. She took a breath of relief as the tributes chasing her went the opposite way. The danger wasn’t over yet though, as she heard a branch snap in front of her.

Kioku sat away from the tributes, watching the Tv that was airing the interviews. The one he had been waiting for arrived, and he started to take notes. “Such an interesting ability, I would love to have it” he spoke to himself while jogging down more notes. For a small second a smile formed as he watched.

Meya sat awkwardly in the waiting area with the rest of the tributes. She really wanted to put on a sweater and hide her face, as her interview made her look like a joke.
