Allison Brillium lay silently on her bed one bright and sunny afternoon. She was almost asleep, her eyelids were already beginning to close up. That was when she heard the sound of an unknown creature crawling around in the overhead ventilation system. She began to think aloud. “Now, what in the Banana Pudding could be up in there?”
Allison stood up on her bed, and stretched up toward the ceiling, as far as she could stretch. She reached up toward the vent cover, and sent a blast of electricity from her fingertips into each of the bolts holding the vent cover shut, which burnt the bolts clean off of the cover. Allison then proceeded to cautiously take the vent cover away from the hole in the ceiling that would lead into the ventilation system itself. She carefully set the vent cover down on her bedside table, right in between her purple kitten table lamp and her secret picture of the guy that she had a major crush on, which she often kept in her dresser drawer, but didn’t seem to mind today. Sunny, cheerful weather always made Allison feel more laid-back than usual. The same could go for stormy weather, snowy weather, and even that crisp Autumn weather. They each made her feel a very strong emotion, each type of weather affecting her overall emotion for that day. She was somewhat connected to the weather.
Anyway, back to the Story at hand. Allison began to feel more nervous than she normally would on a sunny day, as she poked her head up into the ventilation system, and called out to the mysterious creature, without thinking twice. “Hello? Is something there? And if so… Are you a friendly something?”
Just as Allison began to pull her head back out, convinced that it was her wild imagination acting up again, a small and fuzzy purple head popped out of the hole in the ceiling. It took Allison a few seconds to even get the first word out of her mouth, but soon enough, she said it.
“A… A… A KITTEN!!!” Allison was absolutely overjoyed to find a purple kitten in her ventilation system, as she picked up said kitten, and began to dance around the room with the kitten in her arms. “Hmm…”, she paused for a minute, “Maybe I should think of a name for you! I’m already attached, so it couldn’t hurt to give you a cute little name!”
Allison thought for a minute, before coming up with her idea of “The Perfect Name” for something this sweet and small: Muffin. Allison had a new kitten, and her name was Muffin.
“I might have to keep you a secret, though,” Allison whispered quietly, “I don’t exactly know if the teachers and other students here would approve of me having a pet…”

“But I love you too much to let you go back into the wild, so who cares? I certainly don’t!”
