Bump! As someone who's trying to complete their eggdex, White Powders are both difficult to get, and extremely expensive. Current value is 250k PD, so thats 3.75M PD on 3 eggdex entries. 3M if I can get them cheap for 200k, which is still a lot.

Not to mention that you need level 5 Enigma/Custap/Micle Berries, as well as level 10/15 of 2 other berries, which is much more difficult than simply using a summon item, like other legendaries. You also need Gardener level 30 to be able to cook those recipes. The recipes also take a while to cook, it's not instant like summons.

Edit: Just got 2 powders in 2 days. I think the cost is more due to the lack of supply, rather than the number needed.

Thanks! Is there a general pricing recommendation for SMs (not just stonks)? Like, value for each rarity SM. If not, could someone who's sold/bought an SM Beedrill before recommend a fair price?

Turns out its only the traded pokemon that evolves.

This can be moved to answered.

I got 29 eggs in 8250 levels (26 non shinies), so approximately 1 every 300 levels. They can spawn on every 50th and 100th level, above the question.

This can be moved to answered.

The height and weight questions in the Split Decision path are completely unreasonable. A lot of them are impossible to answer without the use of external resources (the spreadsheet, pokedex, google), as Pokémon sizes can be a bit wacky. This also means that this path isn't completable for mobile players, as you have to switch tabs, and use the search function (ctrl+f).
Even the endless path doesn't have these questions (thankfully), so this means that Regidrago/eleki are harder to get than the shiny Hoenn regis, in a way.
To balance this, maybe some other questions, including a "which pokemon is ___ rarity" could be added. (Though, for the rarity question, legendaries would have to be excluded, as they vary a lot).

Current question pool: types, Pokémon category ("mouse" pokemon), egg groups, EHP, evolution level, dex entry, height/weight
New question pool: Pokémon name, dex entry, category, region ("which pokemon is from X region"), types, evolves into/from ("which pokemon evolves from X", rarity, egg groups, EHP, evo level

The question pool could increase with the longer paths, e.g.:
- beginner: name, dex entry, category
- advanced: name, dex entry, category, region, types
- pro: name, dex entry, category, region, types, evolves into/from, rarity
- split decision: name, dex entry, category, region, types, evolves into/from, rarity, egg groups
- endless: name, dex entry, category, region, types, evolves into/from, rarity, egg groups, EHP, evo level

I don't think that Endless Path needs to be made easier, as while it does require a good memory, it is still possible to do without external resources. In a way, by adding more questions, it would make it easier, while still maintaining a level of difficulty, as the probability of getting difficult questions is lower. This would also help throw off cheaters, as they would need new scripts.

The only question type that I'm uncertain about removing is the egg group questions, as those can also be a bit wacky sometimes. This could be removed from both the split decision and endless paths if necessary.

What would be a fair price for a Shiny Retro Articuno, and a SM Beedrill?

This could work in two ways:
- You get to choose which Regi egg you get. This'd be similar to the pop-up when redeeming a retro voucher in the game center; you click on the sprite you want. Instead of you "finding" the egg, it could be a "gift from Regigigas for completing so many levels".
- The first egg you find is a random 1/5 chance. The second is a 1/4 chance with the 4 remaining ones. The third is a 1/3 chance, and so on, until the 5th, which is a 100% chance to get the last one. This'd apply separately to shiny and normal eggs.

Another possibility is guaranteeing (normal) regi eggs on every X level. Maybe every 250 is guaranteed. (I went 1100 levels without an egg)

I suggest that the Split Decision path gives both Regidrago and Regieleki as the reward. While the other paths only give one Regi, I still do think this would be fair, as Split Decision is the hardest path, given the Height/Weight questions. Maybe you'd have to complete it twice to get the second one.

All the other Regis are guaranteed at the end of their path, but Regieleki/Regidrago aren't. Currently, to get the Eggdex of the Regi you didn't get, you have to enter the Endless Path, where you'll randomly get the egg at a 1/5 chance. This means it is possible to go multiple eggs without the one you need (I spent 10 hours only to get it on the 29th egg).

I've done 8250 levels on endless path totally, gotten 28 Regis (5 Regice, 7 Regidrago, 7 Regirock, 5 Registeel, Shiny Regice, Shiny Registeel, Shiny Regirock), but not a single Regieleki. I do realise this could be bad luck, but there is an 0.193% chance of this happening. (No, that number is not a typo). Half that chance if we count the Regidrago from Split Decision Path.

For Regieleki:
Sitewide frequency: 138 ( Shiny ) / 708 (846 total)

For Regidrago:
Sitewide frequency: 162 ( Shiny ) / 745 + 7 I haven’t hatched (911 total)

There are 7.68% more Regidrago on site than Regieleki.

I've spent 318.5k PD and over 200k Powerorbs on this.

It approximately takes 7 minutes per 100 levels, so I've spent at least 600 minutes on this.

I've gotten 3 Shiny Legendaries before a single Regieleki. (4, if we count the bugged egg; 5, counting the Shiny Regigigas that I'll get).

If this is not a bug, then consider this a complaint. 600 minutes spent on trying to get a single legendary egg is utterly ridiculous. I request compensation for this complete waste of time, as well of loss of this bugged shiny egg, in the form of either a normal Regieleki egg, a Shiny Regieleki egg, or Regieleki's EggDex entry a Shiny Regieleki and a Shiny Regidrago.

Edit: got the Regieleki on my 29th egg.

I'd make a suggestion to give both Regidrago and Regieleki as the reward for completing Split Decision Path, but I don't think it'd be worth the time, when its unlikely to be implemented soon. I still do think that would be fair, as Split Decision is the hardest path, given the Height/Weight questions. All the other Regis are guaranteed at the end of their path, but Regieleki/Regidrago aren't.

I recently put up a GTS trade looking for a Karrablast. When I accepted, I had a Shelmet in my party. It looks like the Karrablast evolved, instead of the Shelmet. Could someone please clarify how exactly evolving these two works? Is it the Pokémon in the recipient's party that evolves, or the traded Pokémon?

I reached the 1000th level, but I didn't get an egg:

Not sure if this is because of a limit to how many Regis you can get in a day, but that is not stated anywhere. I had a free slot in my party, so that shouldn't be the reason. Either way, I'd like to request that I receive the missing shiny Regi egg. (Preferably a Regieleki or Regidrago, if possible)

A lot of the newer Paldea pokemon are missing (including Paradox mons).

Another thing I noticed was that when searching for “Bulba”(saur) and “Mareep”, you have to move down to the next search result, which can cost an extra second or two. This is because of the “Bulbapedia” and “MeepTheMareep02” in the top banner. Maybe putting a space/dash in between would help? (Bu-lbapedia, MeepTheMa-reep02)

Edit: same with the “Gardevoir”s in the second banner (hadn’t got a question for it before)

How often do regular Regi eggs spawn in the endless path? (Need a Regieleki for EggDex)

Edit: Done 400 levels, with no eggs. Where would they spawn, on the question pages, or on the break page?

@KARUbin
No, they’d be directly obtained from the Route 53 place. Similar to how with Honey and Moomoo milk, you don’t have to make the jars/bottles, or pasteurise it.

Another option would be that you have to collect the items from each pokemon, and give them to the Leavanny. But that’d be a bit confusing knowing what amounts of items you have.

Also, some balancing factors:
To be effective, we’d need a lot of scarves to be produced. pokemon labour
This means they shouldn’t be tradable, since they are ‘free’ to produce. (The other option would be you have to pay X PD/Berries per day, similar to the Daycare/Ranch)
If they aren’t tradable, there should be a limit of 25k that can be held in your bag.
They get produced at a rate of 1k per hour, so a maximum of 24k per day.
The max storage capacity at the farm is 1k, so you have to keep claiming+using the scarves.
The PD earned from using scarves would have to be less than berries, since these are free to obtain. (Unless you have to deposit PD/berries to get them) (The overall profit should be similar to berries)

Additional features:
When interacting, the scarves would be of a random colour, similar to the index page.
Having all 4 Pokémon shiny could either:
- produce scarves faster, at a rate of 1250/1500 per hour
- be of better quality (‘___ Scarf’, maybe ‘Super Scarf’), and give more EHP to eggs (1.25/1.5x more)

Also, note that this is just one possibility, if anyone has other ideas, comment on the thread.

Great idea, but how would it make sense lore-wise? If the scarves are used, where would they come from? Would it be similar to the Miltank/Combee, but for cotton/wool/silk? I’m thinking for cotton, we could use Cottonee/Whimmsicott/Eldegoss, wool could be Wooloo/Mareep/Flaaffy, and silk from Tarountula/Spinarak, + a Leavanny to stitch it together. Maybe you leave an Eldegoss, Wooloo, Spinarak, and Leavanny at a farm of sorts, and the scarves are produced.

Though, they should be less than or equal to the price of berries, to incentivise people to use them, so they need to be ~2PD each. Or, they could be worth more, but they give more PD when used.

Dex descriptions:
Show hidden content
“Eldegoss's cotton fluff acts like a cushion to protect its head from attacks. The cotton can also be spun into a glossy, gorgeous yarn that is a specialty in Galar.”

“It is said that the seeds inside Eldegoss's cotton fluff is highly nutritious and beneficial for people and Pokémon. Eldegoss spreads the seeds by wind, enriching the soil with nutrients wherever these seeds land.”

“Cottonee's cotton is used to manufacture top-quality pillows and beds that are soft, puffy, light, and airy.”

“When Cottonee's cotton is weaved together with Eldegoss's cotton, it makes a cloth that is popular with many luxury brands.”

“Whimsicott likes to spend time in the sunlight in order to grow its cotton, though it will tear off and scatter the cotton should it start to build up too much.”

“Wooloo's fleece is extremely fluffy and can serve as a cushion, allowing it to survive even a fall from a cliff without any injuries. Its fur grows continuously, being able to fully grow back in just three months after it is completely shaved. The fur is a specialty product in Galar, being used for clothing and carpets; the clothing made from Wooloo's wool has a remarkable strength.“

“Mareep's wool grows continuously and stores electricity, rubbing together and building a static charge. Its volume increases when it builds up with electricity. Touching the wool when it is charged will result in a static shock. During the summer, the fleece is shed, but it grows back in a week. Air is also stored in its fur, which allows it to stay cool during summer and warm during winter.
it can also be found in farms where its wool is used to make high-quality clothing. Clothing made from Mareep's wool builds up static electricity easily, and as such, a special process has to be used on it.”

“Storing too much electricity caused Flaaffy to lose the wool over most of its body, but the bare, rubbery skin protects it from the electricity stored in its fleece. The quality of Flaaffy's fleece can change to generate more electricity with less wool. Flaaffy typically inhabits grassy meadows and fields, though it can also be found in farms, where its wool is used to create high-quality clothing.”

“Sewaddle makes itself leafy clothes using chewed-up leaves and a thread-like substance it produces from its mouth”

“Leavanny is very parental and uses its cutters and the sticky silk it produces to create clothing made of leaves for small Pokémon. Leavanny is known to make warm wrappings for young Sewaddle. It also warms its eggs with fermenting fallen leaves”

“Tarountula’s thread is elastic and strong as wire, being able to deflect even the attacks of its natural enemy, Scyther. Research into the secret behind the thread's strength is currently ongoing.”

“As seen in the Pokémon the Series episode Hassle in the Castle, silk produced by a Spinarak can be used for facial treatments, as well as patching up skin wounds.”

I’ve gotten 113 Minior (Meteor) eggs (+ 4 cores) in a month; average rate of 4 eggs per day. While Minior (Meteor) has the ‘Event’ rarity, there is no way that it has the same breeding rate as a regular Event. Like I said earlier, it is closer to the breeding rate of ‘Special’ rarity Pokémon. (Yes, Minior ([Colour] Core) behave like an event - where most eggs are Meteor, and only few are Core - but I’m talking about the base form, Minior (Meteor) here)
