"Okay." Cutter nodded. He checked his pistol was by his hip and then sat down. He looked over his shoulder at Jack. He still wasn't entirely sure if he trusted him. The woman had seemed harmless enough... right up until he had told her to throw the knife. He had drawn up conclusions on both of them based on what he'd seen. He wondered if they'd done the same.
He turned his head so it was facing the trees directly in front of him and started thinking about the mutant that had killed the last few soldiers that had managed to survive. Atriox. He still wasn't sure how he'd managed to get out of there alive. Atriox had taken the half clip Cutter had fired into his soldier as a personal offense. Cutter watched him warily as he sat down. Two survivors in one day. The odds were almost incalculable. He sighed and turned to Sylvie. "You said you have a knife, right? I'd quite like to see it." He said, holding out a hand. Some people might've mistaken it for a request. It was, in fact, an order. He almost winced as he realized this. He had no right to order these people around. Cutter thought. On one hand, he was a mutant and every instinct screamed at him to pull the trigger and send a bullet on it's short journey. On the other, there was strength in numbers. He wondered for a second and then looked back at Sylvie. "Sorry." he said. Then he lowered his weapon and turned back to Jack. "You can stay. Don't get me wrong; you make me regret this for one second and I'm gonna make getting torn limb from limb seem like sweet, sweet mercy."
