The engines roared to life and the armored vehicles shot towards the base, shaking as the wheels hit the uneven road. They weren't made for comfort, they were made to be as durable as possible. Soon, they were at the base. Dutch, even through his armor, felt extremely numb. Locke dismounted the vehicle. "Armory and repair bay?" he asked the nearest soldier. He was promptly given directions. 	Polous and Solium were whispering to each other while Atriox sniffed the air. The smell of the humans was very faint. He pointed towards a large structure in the distance. He took out his hammer, humming with energy and glowing red. Polous peeled left and Solium to the right. Atriox took the most direct route. Locke suppressed a smile. Then he spoke into the radio. "This is Lieutenant Locke signalling CASTLE Base." There was pause before a reply came. "One of Halsey's wind-up toy soldiers?" It was Ackerson himself. "Yep, me and friends." Locke said. "We're coming into base for repairs and resupply."
A long pause.
"Copy."
The link was severed. Locke turned to Jack. "You'll have to hang back, he won't take kindly to Chaos inside the base.

Atriox was tempted to crush what was left of these buildings to rubble. How had they managed to escape yet again. He thought. Perhaps it was time to revert to, in his opinion, the most shameful tactic : stealth. See what they were up against... before they destroyed it.

Forge gave a short bitter laugh as he started heading towards the cafeteria.
"My story?" He thought for a moment. There was a lot in 'his story' that shouldn't be told directly before dinner. He sighed and decided to tell her the basic overview. "Military academy at nine. Joined the army at seventeen, and yes, that is one year early. Pulled myself up to Sergeant Major. Decided to come here." He'd greased over all of the messy bits. "But enough about that. "We're following orders directly from a General. Technically, that gives each and every one of us tactical command of anything up to an O-9 rank. A colonel is only O-6. Shouldn't have any problems there." Locke muttered. "Wonder if he'll be happy to see us." Dutch said. "Probably not. The ODSTs are in direct competition with the ORIONs. 	Locke finished wiping the blood off from inside his helmet and replaced it on his head. His HUD came back online. He noticed a small crack in the top left and tutted disapprovingly. Now that his armor was complete, his shields started recharging. They flared for a moment and then faded back to invisibility. "Right." he said. "Let's get going. Lead us on to the giant dragon." (@The_Epic_Awesome, You are being really inconsistent. Technically, you should still be fighting Atriox near the outskirts of the city while Cutter and Sylvie have moved much deeper in and you are nowhere near them. Don't let that happen again. But as you've already posted, we'll have to go with it.)

Cutter took a step backwards and raised his pistol again. "Err... let's go." Cutter said to Sylvie. "I'd rather not tick this ting off." he kept his eyes on the boulder mutant. How was it even possible for something like that to exist? Radiation really messed with a lot of things. He blinked a few times, but stayed where he was, waiting for Sylvie.
