All eyes were on Kalos; the world watched with bated breath as one man declared it to be impure. The Pokémon world would be reset back to its purest, most beautiful form. Those who dared to rise against him once before now knelt, powerless and defeated by his ambitions. With a blast of radiant light, it seemed to be the end for all that was known before.

But you.. You’re something else, trainer. Against all odds, you survived. Blessed by one of the Legends of old, you and the other Blessed Ones must race against the clock, before Team Flare’s oh-so perfect world is irreversible.

Quote from Rules1. Despite this being a very “dark”-themed RP, please keep the contents within PG-13.
2. While there is no maximum number of characters you can play, it is recommended that you don’t play more than three, for your own sake.

Appearance:
Valentina is a petite woman, standing at only 5'2". She is pale, with peach-colored eyes and long, dark red hair. Due to the Team Flare issue, Valentina has abandoned her typical wardrobe of red and black dresses, and instead wears a beige trench coat dress over a black and white suit, and a matching fedora. This supposedly makes her "more undetectable", and "less like she likes Team Flare, which she cannot stand the idea of".

Personality:
Valentina is nice, but not kind. In the sense that, though she may have a sweet, performer's smile, she doesn't actively empathize with others. She can come off as cruel due to that, but honestly, she doesn't care. No one can be perfect, and judgmental jerks will be judgmental jerks. At times, she can be passive aggressive or petty, and she often holds herself on a higher pedestal because at least she isn't the one repeating the cycle of villainy in the Regions. There is arrogance and hypocrisy to Valentina, but she may not be entirely aware of that.
General Skillset:
As a former contest star, Valentina has an eye for detail, especially in the performing scene. Her pattern recognition skills are sharp, as is her physical coordination. She is able to remain balanced on one foot or in heels for longer than the average person due to her experience.
Weaknesses/Flaws:
In spite of her Blessing being one of healing, Valentina herself feels little attachment to other people's well-being. She's self-righteous, almost like a less extreme version of Team Flare. In addition, though she is dexterous, she lacks any amount of impressive physical strength.

Title: Roleplay Ideas!

(These would be for small groups/1x1. If I decide to make any of these, I’ll make a separate place for development of plot.)

Flare’s Misfire
Adventure / Horror | Pokémon (Possibly Canon + OC)
Lysandre’s plan to fire off the Ultimate Weapon went off without a hitch. The Pokémon world has been doused with Yveltal’s deadly energy. Those not immediately lost to the blast are now working against the clock to reverse Team Flare’s destruction before the regions fall apart.

Characters will start in their home regions. They will be permitted a flashback sequence before the blast, and then a proper start post-Ultimate Weapon.
(Debating having “Legendary Blessings” based off of Legends/Mythicals from their home regions. Example, a Johto citizen may have Ho-oh’s blessing of revival, similar to the Legendary Beasts. However, each time they revive, part of them changes.)

Forty moons after EclipseClan shattered, the living remnants of the Clan banded together. But they’re not the only cats living on the territory, and a band of rogues calling themselves SunClan have made homes on the land. The new EclipseClan, now called MoonClan, must decide how to approach this, and possibly co-exist with SunClan. But living on their own for so long has made it difficult to understand the idea of another Clan, especially one that refuses to respect the Warrior Code.

MoonClan will definitely be the “please submit to this Clan” group at the start. SunClan would be mostly NPCs.

Personality:
Quick to anger and slow to cool down, Proton was once known as Team Rocket’s scariest and cruelest Executive. And this reputation wasn’t exactly unfounded.
Nowadays, though, he’s far more relaxed, albeit with a temper. He has a morbid, warped sense of reality, stemming from the influence Team Rocket had on his young mind. He’s by no means afraid of a fight, but he’s smart enough to pick and choose to guarantee his best chance of victory.
He isn’t a people person, and he’s not the type to take charge. He’d rather take orders from someone he respects than try to round up a group that may not even care for him. In fact, he can barely hold a conversation if he’s not actively trying to intimidate someone into submission.

Abilities:
For some strange reason, Proton has a near-immunity to most biotoxins stemming from animals. According to him, he wasn’t born with this, but it instead developed due to his close proximity with many Poison-type Pokémon.

Weapon:
A pair of kitchen shears.
He is notably lacking in the “having his Pokémon with him” department.

Not Canon; This is mostly headcanons, bay bee!
Proton was a runaway; leaving home at the young age of ten to spite his cold and uncaring adoptive family. Perhaps that’s where he learned to stop caring; to rarely open up. However, he can’t be sure anymore, because they don’t matter to him. Instead, on the cold streets of Celadon City, he learned to fight. Not just in Pokémon battles, but hand-to-hand as well.

This skill was acknowledged, and one day, at the age of 13, Proton found himself stood over a pair of Rocket Grunts who had attempted to nab his Zubat while he wasn’t looking. Why they’d go for a common creature like a Zubat, he had no idea. But after successfully taking both down, he was cornered; spotted by one of the Admins, an equally cold man named Archer.

Archer saw his potential. He agreed to take the young boy under his wing, should his boss approve. Proton was skeptical at first, and about ready to strike out against the man. However, he knew his limits, and knew he probably wouldn’t be able to fight off three people at once, if the Grunts recovered in time.

Proton’s lack of attachment to the world ended up being what Team Rocket needed. Sure, most of the Grunts were almost entirely heartless, but Proton proved to be more than that. All he seemed to care for was the Zubat that hitched a ride on his shoulder, and the ability to spite those who wronged him.

He was heavily involved with the Cubone-Marowak-skull-collecting (RBY/FRLG/LGPE) when he was 18. After suffering defeat after defeat by the hands of a trainer named Red, Proton’s calm, cold nature began to crack. He became more outwardly aggressive.

This was taken as an opportunity by the Admins (post-Kanto, pre-Johto) to use Proton’s viciousness for their crimes.

Anyone who’s played HGSS knows the story from here. He’s caught in the Slowpoke Well and defeated. Then, he’s defeated in the Radio Tower. The in-between isn’t really important.

All that you need to know from here is that he’s been on the run and hiding in the Sinnoh region. At least, until the story starts..

I definitely think PL:A was a step in the right direction in terms of open-worlding the series! Obviously, no game is perfect, and I'd be lying if I were to say it's the perfect Pokémon game. Certainly one of my favorites, though!

(Up there with BW/BW2 and HGSS!)

I'm definitely a bit biased as a Unova fan, but I'd love a Legends Kyurem. Or, hey, even Volcarona is a suitable Legends "legendary" on account of the Relic Castle encounter. (More Unova bias, I'm a Volcarona fan.)

I wasn't even a huge Sinnoh fan before Legends Arceus, honestly. Platinum's Distortion World arc was what kept it afloat for me. Legends definitely spun it around for me. Got attached to the characters (yes, even Melli) and, hey, the region felt alive despite having very few settlements!

He had enough sense to dip out to somewhere rather out of sight. He was in another unfamiliar place; the last thing he needed was a repeat of getting exiled from Jublife. Or, hey, even worse, what if he got arrested for 'connections' to the building burning? For once, he didn't do something wrong!

So he was on his own in an alley for now. He did a quick team check-up.

Crobat? A little frustrated about the fire, but ultimately fine. It found its perch back on its trainer's arm, much to his displeasure. It was on the side with his injuries.. but maybe Crobat just wanted to act as that side's eyes and ears. Sure, but he would've loved a warning.

Umbreon, having not been taken out of her ball, seemed relatively clueless. Instead, the Dark-type was pawing at Proton's legs. He had a sneaking suspicion that, even if she had been out in the open flames, she'd probably have just tried to eat them. His Pokémon weren't as bright as the Golbat and Weezing he'd owned in Team Rocket.

Now that was taken care of.. he needed to find somewhere to go.

Well.. He supposed he could go through the window. Honestly, his first idea had been to go out the front door. The only issue was that glass was sharp, and he wasn't looking for a repeat of a certain noble.

Crobat seemed to be nudging its trainer toward the window. Okay, okay, I get it, you don't want me to burn, he thought. It was a nice thought; his Pokémon actually caring despite their trainer being less than kind to.. most people, honestly. But he didn't have time to think about that! He needed to get out so that Crobat and Umbreon wouldn't burn in here.

The Gusts helped to clear the path. He didn't even have to try to roll to dodge anything; Crobat could always scoop him up at any moment, but it didn't. Instead, as Proton approached, the Poison-type's ball was back out, and he was returning the Pokémon to its place.

And.. out the window he goes. Proton is almost certain he was going to be cut by shards of glass, but he could always patch up the wounds later. For now, he had a situation to figure out.

..Why is there fire?

Proton's heart started pounding with alarm as the flames sprang to life. Between the Noble Arcanine and Noble Electrode, he'd dealt with enough fire and explosions for a single lifetime, thanks! With a flick of his wrist, Crobat was freed from its Pokeball.

"Sorry for the rude awakening," he mumbled, voice muffled by his scarf. "Think you'd be willing to clear a path through the flames with a Gust?"

The Pokémon chittered with displeasure at being woken up, and finding itself in an unusual environment. However, it took notice of its trainer's distress; the way his visible eye glanced around nervously, as if he was anticipating something. Not wanting to deal with whatever outcome that'd provide, Crobat fluttered its wings, whips of invisible air casting away the flames in Proton's path.

The trainer really needed to properly thank his Pokémon for the help they provided him. And he was seriously going to get angry at whoever thought a fire was a good idea in a library. The books cost more money than what he got paid on survey jobs, for Ho-oh's sake!

"You really are getting on my nerves y'know, I'm just trying to see where I am but you obviously don't either."

Considering his responses, Proton felt that it was.. pretty blatantly clear he had no clue where he'd ended up either. He almost considered consulting the Arc Phone, but it didn't take much thinking to realize that if he wasn't in Hisui, contact likely wouldn't be possible. In fact, the more he thought about it..

..This looked more like a modern library that he'd see in Kanto or Johto, than anything he would've found in the Hisui region; specifically, in Laventon's area of the Galaxy Team HQ.

"Thanks for pointing out the obvious." Proton rolled his eyes. It'd be a waste of breath to try calling out some advice, so instead he made the executive decision to try to appear as an unsuspecting individual. Sure, it was likely hard to do with the two Pokeballs on his person and his unusual attire, but maybe someone would assume he was some sort of..

..what were they called..

..cosplayers? Yeah. Maybe someone would assume he was a cosplayer or something.

Proton choked back a snicker; something he was sure his Crobat and Umbreon were up to as well, if they heard what he was saying. Fortunately, the Survey Corps. member had enough self-control to not say something stupid again. (If his absolutely hilarious commentary could even be classified as stupid.)

"Well that's a less stupid question. I almost wish I had an answer for you."

He dismissively waved a hand as he spoke, but his hold on Crobat's ball was still firm. His expression had shifted to one of smugness, as if he was almost basking in the peculiarity of the situation at hand. He probably looked just as out of place as Loremaster did here.

He jumped. He hadn't grown quite used to being so hyper-vigilant, but that Noble Electrode had really given him a run for his money. As such, he was quite expected to react with surprise when Loremaster tapped him on the shoulder.

Immediately, one hand was holding his Crobat's Pokeball. Had he had any less common sense, he'd have thrown his trusted partner Pokémon to the wolves and fled the scene. However, he was neither a coward, nor a poor trainer. (Well, that could be debated. He used to be vile, but he'd changed, right?)

His tense posture was only highlighted further by the wide-eyed, flabbergasted stare he was giving Loremaster.

"Hey do you know where we are?"

"In a library, duh," he commented, as if that was the most obvious thing in the world. To him, it was.

You'd think after the second time you're forcefully taken from your home and placed in an unfamiliar place, you'd be used to it by now. But no, that's stupid, and you're stupid for believing so.

Isolated in a separate section of the library, Proton of ~~Team Rocket~~ the Galaxy Expedition Team came to his senses. Once again, he found himself stranded in the middle of nowhere. This time, though, he had at least his wits about him. He didn't wake up on Prelude Beach, surrounded by three unknown Pokémon and a strange professor.

On that note, he noticed most of his Pokeballs were missing, bar the two marked clearly for being his Umbreon and Crobat's, respectively.

"Alright, Proton," he mumbled to himself. "Let's just figure out what you're here to do. Hopefully nothing else related to Team Rocket.."

He hoped that last part wasn't spoken too loudly.

Character Personality:
As the former scariest and cruelest Executive of Team Rocket, Proton has a streak of being cold and uncaring. He is emotionally distant from others, and it's rumored that he has a violent temper to match. However, he has mellowed out significantly since his days in Team Rocket, and is far more passive. While he is very blunt and uncaring to most people, he ironically seems to fare well with the Pokémon in his care. He doesn't emote much; often having a blank or vacant stare to him. His "airheadedness" seems to unnerve people, but he has yet to cause any actual harm since he turned over a new leaf.

Florian didn't like the noise much. It was a droning, repetitive hum, like the sound of suffering blaring in their ears. But that couldn't be right. Why would that be the descriptor, if not because..

Because...

It was at this point that Florian took a good look at the clothes he was wearing. Panic began to settle in their chest; well, that explained away everything. The bright red R plastered across the black jumpsuit meant that they were in Team Rocket here. This wouldn't have been an issue if he was, say, Jessie or James. Those two were bumbling fools, but loveable.

Oh boy.

Now Flori wasn't even sure if they should let out their Murkrow, in fear of another Rocket seeing them and asking about the bird. But, hey. If he was supposed to be a villain now, why wouldn't they consider trying out the energy? Maybe not in a hideout, where anyone could come in, but if they had to sneak off..

Longest post I'll be making, probably. Feel free to skim.
Florian frantically pulled on the left sleeve of their sweater, making a move to then button the pale article of clothing. It was chilly out, and he was already running late. But they did the math; if he drove 5 miles per hour above the speed limit and didn't run into any red lights, they'd be at work with five minutes to spare. Sure, he could call ahead and say he'd be late, but they didn't want to explain to the manager that the reason was that they lost track of time while watching the dogs.

The seventeen-year-old mall worker nearly stumbled their own feet, having forgotten to grab his shoes. Shoot, shoot, shoot, I'm gonna be LAAAAATE-

A hand extended out, handing him his shoes. "Thanks," they stated, turning to walk out the door before- "GAH- HOW DID YOU GET IN MY HOUSE-"

"I don't think it matters!" The boy standing before Florian was wearing a white tailcoat with golden accents, and ruffled his white hair with a cheeky grin. "What you should be worried about is the fact it's still 4:32! Ooh, wait, speaking of that-"

"Did you break my clock?" Florian's voice cracked with genuine confusion.

"No? Well, hey, while we're here, I'm a little bored. And I'm sure you don't wanna go to work today, so why don't we go on an adventure?"

"This sounds like a true crime case waiting to happen," they commented cautiously. "Give me an answer on what exactly this entails, or I'm calling my parents and telling them we have an intruder."

"Haven't you always wanted to experience Pokémon in real life? You knooow, I could help you with that. Style of DND and all that."

Florian raised an eyebrow. On one hand, they were sort of curious if this kid could back up his claim. But at the same time, did they really trust someone that broke into his house? Worse yet, where were the dogs? Normally one of them would've been right at his side, barking up a storm. It was like everything was frozen. That must've been why it was still 4:32.

"Fine. I'll bite."

Florian felt disoriented. Head spinning, the mall worker wondered where he was. It was like they'd just been tossed into some character creation screen. Well.. in Dungeons and Dragons, he liked to play Rogues. Maybe they could fill some sort of Rogue archetype in the world. It wasn't like they wanted to follow the typical 'collect Gym Badges and become champion' route anyways. There was so much to see and do!

Little did he know, this was going to bite him in the backside.

Once every choice had been made, Florian faltered. Was this what they wanted? He sort of wanted to end up in Unova, but the idea of dealing with that total creep Ghetsis was enough to turn them away from the idea. He had no clue what to expect anyways.

He just needed to progress, then.

When Flori came to his senses once again after another dizzying warp, he found themself standing upon a tile floor. The distant hum of electricity rang in the air, sounding both far away and nearby at the same time. And clutched in one hand was a Pokeball. He didn't question what Pokemon it held; the Murkrow they'd chosen was undoubtedly there.

At first, he wasn't sure where they were. There were a lot of tiled floors, after all. But he was sure he'd figure it out soon.

Personality:
First and foremost, Florian is an actor. Someone who knows how to pretend to get to put on a proper show. While not charismatic in their base state, he just needs practice before he can properly show off the kind of role they're playing. However, when he isn't pretending, they're a very different person.
Flori is prone to intense anxiety when it comes to speaking up on their own needs and wants. Standing up for himself wasn't something he learned how to do, and they feel awful when he has to put his foot down. However, defending others comes naturally, albeit with rather explosive outbursts of passionate 'tough love' for the people involved.
Flori is academically gifted, and it shows with their quick ability to do math in their head. Affectionately called a "living calculator", if something involves numbers, he's going to do fine. This being said, Flori struggles with geometry for some unknown reason.
Despite Flori's kind nature, he's low-to-no-empathy. It's not that he can't feel remorse or guilt, they just struggle to empathize with others' struggles. There isn't a traumatic backstory behind this, they're just a jaded customer service worker.
Appearance:
When they’re not possessing Proton, Flori has fluffy, dirty blond hair that is shaved on their left side to create an asymmetric hair cut. It cascades over the right side of his face, covering their right eye, and falls a little below shoulder length. The bangs are ombré from their natural color to lavender. Their eyes appear to be different colors in different lighting, but they actually do gradually change color between blue, green, hazel and gray. This is a slow effect, though, so you’d need two pictures of them from at least a month apart to spot the difference. As of recently, they’re gray.
The usual outfit of choice from Florian is anything fitting the mall goth aesthetic; when they're picked up from home by the entity, Flori was getting ready to go to their job and was wearing a black button-up shirt with mushroom patterns tucked into orange and black tripp pants, which have white zippers above and below the knee. Alongside those articles of clothing are a white sweater with shockingly deep pockets and white hiking boots with orange straps.

Florian comes from a very average, middle-class family with an elder sister and a younger brother. Their home life was always fairly boring; being the middle child, attention was seldom on them when they weren't standing out in any way. While Flori found good company in the baton twirling group they joined in elementary, it was hardly a show-off since their sister was involved in it. As such, Flori always felt they were third-best behind the baby and the 'golden child'.

However, Flori found comfort in a series that a close friend introduced them to; Pokemon. They spent a lot of time happily playing the bootleg cartridge of Leaf Green, struggling to beat Brock with the single Charmander they brought to the battle. Even if the game was off-brand and reset pretty frequently, Florian always had a lot of fun playing it in between school and baton twirling.

They began to fall out of interest in baton twirling, though, and took up new passions in arts and crafts. This interest still remains most prominent in Florian's life, alongside the performing arts, a byproduct of their former love for twirling. As they got older, they and their sister ended up playing the Pokemon games together, getting the different versions between the two. However, no game sparked the same amount of love from Florian as playing through Pokemon White, bar maybe Heart Gold. The characters and story won their heart, and inspired him to pursue his art-based ambitions.

Florian went on to drop out of high school a little after his sixteenth birthday, because they felt that they needed to work rather than attend school. He was a ‘gifted kid’ after all, and was passing classes despite having few friends. However, work was rough, working at minimum wage in a busy mall without even a high school diploma. So when Florian was given the opportunity to leave it all behind for ten years and experience a world not like his own, they gleefully took the chance.
