“Aw, thanks.” Connor laughed, nudging Snow playfully with his elbow. Mel grinned. “I have no idea why you’re apologizing. Let’s be real; Most of that was totally me, so I would like to propose a perfect idea; We’re gonna call it the ‘Blame Mel’ pact, and if anything ever goes wrong again, we’ll just point at me and leave it at that.” She joked. “But seriously, stop apologizing. That was never gonna work out, we were both huge idiots. Especially me. So whatever I said, I take full responsibility for. You did what was right. I didn’t. See, wildcat? You’re a good boyfriend. “At least someone acknowledges my genius.” Connor teased, eyes bright with amusement. Mel grinned in a slightly less tense sort of way, easing up a bit (though she did repress a flinch away from him). “Yeah, you shouldn’t have gotten used to it. Sorry.” She interlocked her fingers together with a yawn before dropping one hand to put the other on Tiger’s shoulder, albeit a bit hesitantly, nervously. “Don’t doubt yourself. People prey on doubt. If they see you doubt yourself, they’ll doubt you too.” She smiled. “Besides, you don’t have to worry about it alone. Look around,” She gestured broadly around the room with her free hand. “You’ve got everyone in here supporting you.” She offered him a thumbs-up and a playful wink. “We can multitask. We’ll get Mira back and Keep Johto and Kanto running.” The smile fell and she squeezed his shoulder gently. “You don’t have to trust me, but trust us. We can do this. Trust yourself, too. Connor grinned faintly, green eyes glittering with amusement. “Frost?” He’d forgotten all about him, to be completely honest. “I’m sure Mira’s okay. If anything, I’m more worried about the people holding her captive.” Mel snorted, clasping her hands together behind her back. “I’m not gonna threaten you.” She said with a soft laughing sound. “I just.. Wanted to actually apologize. For everything. Which is saying a lot, because I did a lot. .. But I’m mostly talking about the whole ‘guardian thing’.” Her eyes flew down again. “Because you deserve to be guardian. Probably more than most people. This is probably a bad time to bring this up, but,” She lifted one hand hesitantly and then let it fall. “I.. I’m really sorry. I know it’s not gonna help anything, but.. I’ll.. The tension crackling in the air around Mel was too thick to cut. Connor intervened swiftly, saving the girl from making a hasty remark. “Kalos is so weak, you have no idea. I guess I wasn’t as attached to her as you are to your characters? Which I totally get owo I feel like if you killed off Cyndaquil you’d have to kill off Tiger too? I dunno, I can’t exactly imagine Tiger without his sassy mouse partner. Ooo I hope they made him better?? Part of her hoped she would be caught. It wasn’t like she was doing much anyway, just a grocery run. Because some idiot decided to steal all her marshmallows, and she wasn’t having any of that. Character Name: Devin Super villain name: Earthquake Age: 18 Appearance: Personality: Dry, sarcastic and pretty flirty. She’s quick to anger and loves to fight, purely because she’s overconfident in her ability to win a battle. She’s selfish and quick-witted, and gets frustrated over little things. Though she’s a messy sort of person, she never forgets those who’ve defeated her and seems to take it as a challenge to get stronger. Powers: Earth— She can lift chunks of the ground and cause smallscale earthquakes, though the earthquakes drain a little more than just “throwing rocks”.
