Terastallization! You all might be pretty familiar with this addition to the pokemon world, if you have stay tuned with the paldea region and paradox Pokémon. This is a brand-new feature which allows you to change a poke to another type you wish, which includes: 
<—Mewtwo Tera-d into fairy type to deal with a rock dark dual type. Show

Normal · Fire · Water · Electric ·
Grass · Ice · Fighting · Poison · Ground · Flying · Psychic · Bug ·
Rock · Ghost · Dragon · Dark · Steel · Fairy · Stellar
You make switch a poke to any of these 19 types once every battle, while it's type effectiveness varies according to it's current tera type. Now over to the most interesting part: What are the items essential to do so? Show

We will need a tera orb, and 19 tera
shards of each type.
The tera orb is the key item to terastallization. Each shard you currently have in your inventory will determine which type you can tera a poke into. How do we obtain them? Show

To fully take part in this thrilling
tera thing, you first have to get a tera orb from Prof. Rowan.
The new quest: This quest is given by Prof. Rowan randomly while you visit his lab after reaching trainer level 30 AND get at least 2 certificates to prove your worthy. He will then provide you with various tasks that are unable to be skipped to find the eight glimmet crystals (key item) he lost. After you return the crystals to Rowan, you will obtain the tera orb (key item). Afterwards, you have to obtain the tera shards. The second quest: The tera shards can be fished up in the emera beach, obtained from making a wish in the fountain, catching shadow pokemon, harvesting berries in the berry garden... to obtain different types of shards.
