Locke swore and rolled to a side. "Pissing me off." he muttered. "Sliuril, what the hell are you doing?" he shouted.

Locus narrowed his eyes. There wasn't much he could do without endangering himself as well. So far, they hadn't detected him or were ignoring him. He guessed the latter. He'd sit this fight out.

Felix looked around and took cover behind a rock. Jack got to his feet and gave a low growl, his mouth spitting out embers.

	Dutch swore. He knew that he wouldn't be able to escape, so he hunkered down. Jack roared and launched himself in the air... towards Sliuril. Locus his sniper at Sliuril as well. Felix stepped back, surprised. Locke drew the pistol he had found at Ackerson's base and fired at Faith without giving it a second thought. [Read more]

	Locke tossed his assault rifle to a side and drew his Railgun. A small group of Demonspawn got blown sky high as the slug hit somewhere among their ranks. Locus was back at it with his sniper and using it to good effect. Everything hostile which moved was going down. Locke still wasn't sure what to do about Sliuril. [Read more]

"Sliuril?" Locke asked, looking at Faith and following her gaze. He blinked a few times. And of course, there were other threats. Namely the Demonspawn. And what did she mean that this was the 'last chance to stop shooting'. Had they had a first chance? All these thoughts rushed through his head as he pulled the trigger, opening fire on the Demonspwan. He still had the pistol. Sliuril could be dealt with later.

Locke wasted no time in running through the wall. When he saw what they were up against, he groaned. Within moments, Felix and Dutch were by his side. Suddenly, four sniper shots rang out. One SPARTAN fell. Three shots to overload the shields, one shot to the head for the kill. Locke looked around. The shots hadn't originated from near him... Locus was further in the cavern than them. But now, he would be reloading, a noisy procedure if rushed. He'd have to do it slowly, or risk revealing his position to the SPARTANs. Locke leveled his gun at the figures moving towards the dragons, hesitated and then fired. These weren't the soldiers he had trained with. Dutch and Felix followed suit.

	Jack quickly followed after her, expecting to start deflecting spells and draining souls the moment he got through. He looked around. Nothing presented itself to his eyes. His eyes glowed and he sniffed. "They're nearby. And watching" he growled, looking around the space again. the Locke decided to wait for a few seconds before going in. "Hello, Darkness, my old friend..." Dutch muttered. For a moment Locke was confused and then he realized it was a line from the song he had been listening to earlier with Felix. "We aren't going on friendly terms." Locke reminded him. Then he turned to Faith. "Wanna knock for us?" he asked, gesturing towards the wall of rocks. Jack got ready to enter behind Faith. Felix crept closer and Locus faded from view.

Locke looked at the wall. "Okay then." he raised his Railgun and poked the rocks with it. With a little effort, it went through. He nodded. "Do we have anything resembling a plan?" he asked. "I'll run my camo and stick to the shadows." Locus nodded. "I'll only reveal my exact position if necessary." he said. "I'll probably stick with you guys." Felix nodded at Locke and Dutch. Dutch looked at Faith. "Is the entire mountain hollow?" he asked "Or is it going to be close quarters?"

Jack watched silently. He was confident that he'd be able to take on anything inside. The Soul Mask was humming. It sensed enemy presence nearby. It wanted to absorb their power. It had been a while since it had claimed a new victim.

"Hey." Locke looked over to Dutch. He hefted a Railgun. "Lets put these things to test. What was the charge time?" he asked. "One second." Dutch replied. Locke winced. That was a long time during a fight. Felix staggered to his feet. Jack landed on the ledge and Locus quickly dismounted. Dutch looked at Locke. "I have an idea, but honestly, it depends on the entrance. What if we took the dragons and.... you're not listening, are you?" he asked. Locke looked at Dutch. "There's a fine line between not listening and not caring." Locke replied and glanced over the edge of the ledge. "Where's the entrance again?" he asked Faith. Then he turned back to Dutch. "I like to think that I walk that line every day of my life."

"Anyway, does the Elder Dragon have any weaknesses?" Locke asked. He looked down. The terrain was flashing by and he could only catch glimpses of what lay underneath. A lake, a canyon of some sort, greens and browns.

Two large shadows flashed over the ground and Church looked up. "The hell... were those...?"
"Dragons?" Tucker suggested.
"Yeah." There was a silence. "They were headed towards the mountain... should we go?" Church asked. "Dude, c'mon, why would we wanna do that?" Tucker raised an eyebrow. "I dunno, beats sitting around and talking all day long." Church replied.

"Fair enough."
Another pause.
"Tell the Reds. Get the Spec Ops armor and the teleportation grenades. We're going." Church said.

Locus looked at the other, eating and talking. He himself wasn't very hungry. He glanced around, taking in the space. He heard random snatches of conversation which mildly roused his interest. And then, suddenly...
'Then someone fight me. Anyone.'
He looked at the person who had spoken. Did he have anything better to do? No. But if he should do it was another matter entirely. He hesitated. He decided to tread lightly, neither accepting or rejecting. "You want a fight?" Locus asked in a casual manner.
