Aleia and Conn arrived at an abandoned house. "This was...our home...we left it after everyone we cared about...left." Aleia sighed as she stared at the house. "Let's not go in. Unless you want to, then go ahead. I'll just follow."
Conn nodded but didn't go in "we'll go here last, farther down is a safe zone. That way we can rest up our energy fully without worrying too much."

Aleia and Conn walked down the road, being weary of any monsters. "I remember this town so well, I never thought it could be destroyed...That was long before the attack, when we were kids. Denise and I loved playing in our fort. I still can't believe her own friend killed her," Tears started to form in Aleia's eyes. "Why did he have to kill her! He was a good creature before he got corrupted!"
Conn smiled sympathetically "I know Aleia, but sometimes sacrifices have to be made,"
"Sacrifice! You're calling Denise a sacrifice?! She was as adventurous and fierce as you!" Aleia shouted, her whole mood changed.
"That's not what I meant Aleia, she sacrificed your life for hers, you should be thankful." Conn replied calmly "You would of done that for her,wouldn't you?"
Aleia sniffed "Yeah, you're right, now come on, we're almost there."

Conn shot an energy bullet at the monster that he and Aleia were fighting and retreated behind a crumbled down wall. "Is it done?" Aleia asked as she ran over, making sure nothing saw her "I don't think we'll have enough energy to keep going. We need to see if there are still some people alive from the attack. Even if this place has fallen awhile ago. There could be people trapped somewhere. It would be a slim chance but there could."
Conn nodded "It's dead. I don't think there would be anyone left but if there is, we'd go check the least destroyed area. Which is?"
"Downtown. The attack started over in the north and they mostly retreated mid-way. Luckily there is a convient store over on that side of town." Aleia replied.
"OK, and I just realized, we were crazy enough to not bring at least another person with us. We'd be even crazier if we didn't take a break." Conn answered back.
"Right. Let's take 5. Then we move."

Amai went inside the house and saw that it was decked with interesting gear and supplies. "Now," the man started "My name is Russel, a technical gadgets engineer. I create new, advanced, and hopefully lightweight straight swords. I also create the latest technology. Now anyways, I need you to assassinate someone. This person keeps stealing my gear. They left something behind which could give you a clue in which realm they live in." Russel hands Amai a peice of torn paper attached to a small peice of fabric. "If you find the theif and kill them or bring them to me, You'll be rewarded. Everyone that has tried was to coward or got killed. Y'sure you want to do this?" Russel asked.
