I like both ideas. One thing is, whenever I put honey on the tree, I sometimes forget that it is there. And, it stays there OVERNIGHT, so I can't do anything about it, and at the morning, the honey is eaten. So, I think a reminder every so hours would be good, and a reminder for when a pokemon comes by would be good too.

Maybe there could be an option of reminding you every so hours, and one for when a pokemon comes, so you could enable and disable them. The notificator for a pokemon coming would not tell you which pokemon is coming, unless you bought a special chip that would cost 10,000-25,000.
