"Powers can be hard to control sometimes, especially when there is more than one form. Final question Alana, you were seen interacting with multiple tributes, have you decided on an alliance yet?" Cesar asks

Zahara's eyes gleam with pride. "To be honest, I was just releasing my built up tension... And doing what I wanted you two to do." Her eyes widen slightly when Echo mentions opponents. "Er, I wasn't really listening" she replies honestly. "I'm sure we'll be okay, if anybody wants to kill us, I'll be the first to know."
.....
Maci had quietly been listening to the tributes from her own little corner. To her astonishment, she hasn't been spotted by Peacekeepers yet. Still, she knew she couldn't avoid them forever. They were definitely going to give her a high dose of medicine in the arena and possibly target her. She lowers her head into her lap, automatically fearing for Shiloh. What will happen to her? Hopefully she'll be able to talk to Shiloh before the arena starts... When she hears Shiloh's name she raises her head up and silently cheers for her.
.....
"Your mother was a very talented person then" Cesar says with a smile. "Tell us Alana, you have a very wide variety of powers. How do they work exactly?"

A few people aww at this. "Charlie is very adorable" Cesar comments politely. "Tell us Faith, are you nervous for going to the arena with baby Charlie?"

Cesar leans forward eagerly, suddenly drawn to how vague her answer was. "Really?" He asks. "Do tell, who was this special person that you left behind?" The crowd also seems to be on the edge of their seats as they await her answer.

Cesar nods knowingly. "This Hunger Games has primarily targeted couples. Most couples were split up, but a a few were chosen together. Is there anybody that you left behind?" Cesar asks curiously.

"Well Star, you certainly look stunning tonight!" Cesar comments enthusiastically. "Tell us, you've been pretty quiet ever since you've been chosen, but eyes have definitely fallen upon you after the private sessions. Do you perhaps have any alliances, or are you a lone wolf?"

"Next up is Star!" Cesar declares. Like he has done for the rest, he extends a hand towards the curtains where Star should be waiting. The audience eagerly applauds and waits for her to appear onstage.

"Please welcome Maci Lam!" Cesar calls. The crowd cheers for the blonde hair girl who steps onstage. She doesn't look at them, instead, she looks at the ground. They aren't worthy of her attention. "There's no need to be nervous Maci" Cesar assures. "Please take a seat." Maci takes a seat next to Cesar, but she doesn't look up at him. "Maci, you have quite the story: 'A sick girl is sent to the Capitol,' tell me, why don't you elaborate on this story, how do you feel about being sent here?" Cesar asks. Maci's jaw clenches. How typical of the Capitol to continue convincing her that she was sick with an irreversible illness. To try to cash out on her story. It was pathetic.

"What's there to say?" Maci asks tightly. "It sucks, but what am I supposed to do?" A few of the audience members offer Maci a pitied sigh.

"What about your boyfriend? Word on the street says you two were close. How do you feel about leaving hi-" his words are cut off by Maci suddenly standing up.

"Don't!" She warns. "Please-" tears spill down her face. "You can mention anything about my life, but please, don't politicize the one thing that truly belongs to me!" As her desperate eyes meet Cesar's, she finds that he actually looked ashamed.

"Alright, we can move onto the final question: how are you going to survive in the arena without your medicine?" Cesar asks.

"I'll find a way," Maci replies mysteriously, but she doesn't mention the fact that she doesn't need it anymore. Cesar suddenly looks terrified.

"Interesting." He replies. A shiver runs down Maci's spine. Suddenly, she is worried that she made a mistake.

"Why is my medicine so important?" Maci asks slowly. She was trying to choose her words carefully.

"It keeps you alive" Cesar replies, but a bit too quickly. This raises alarms in Maci's head. Her mind scrambles to think piece this information in her head. After a second she releases a nervous sigh. She has a theory about her medicine, Cesar seemed to be the best person to drill.

"Does it?" Maci asks and Cesar flinches. "Or does it do the opposite? I've been avoiding my medicine for days now and I feel fine. But whenever I take it, I have symptoms of being sick afterward. I think The Capitol has been using it to suppress me." Her words were dangerous. She could already see Peacekeepers moving towards her on the corner of her eye. But she decided to keep pushing. "Am I right? Has the Capitol purposely been trying to kill me? Or at least weaken me? Is that why I'm here? So you guys can ensure that I'm dead? So that I can never be a threat to you?" She stands in silence, awaiting Cesar's answer. She jumps in surprise when the buzzer goes off. Cesar stands up with a tight smile. He places a hand on her shoulder and lightly pushes her away from him.

"All questions are done. Bye, bye Maci." She glares at him and races offstage. She is sent offstage with nervous applause. She weaves between tributes and hides in a dark corner to avoid the Peacekeepers, who were starting to discreetly search for her. She holds a hand over her pounding heart. "No way." She whispers. She finally has figured it out, she finally knows how she'll get better.

Cesar takes a moment to calm down and maintain his composure before inviting the next tribute onstage. "Zahara Payne, please come on stage!" Cesar calls enthusiastically. He extends a hand towards the backstage. The crowd cheers for Zahara, but when nobody comes onstage they ever so slowly go silent. They all exchange confused looks. After a minute, Zahara finally skips onstage. A few people clap and holler, but then they go quiet when they realize that nobody else is applauding for her.

"I'm sorry! I was sleeping backstage! Your speech was boring." A few people chuckle, but then they immediately look uncomfortable when they realize that she was serious.

"Well-" Cesar says with a nervous chuckle. "Right, Zahara you had a very interesting private session. I'm sure we are all wondering why you did that?" Cesar's voice was slightly monotoned; as if he had been forced to memorize this line. Zahara doesn't answer, she was too busy fiddling with a loose thread on the chair. "Zahara?" Cesar asks.

"Hm?" Zahara sits up and glances at Cesar. "Oh, I'm sorry, did you say something?" A flash of annoyance crosses across Cesar's face and Zahara giggles at it. "Your face looks so funny when you're mad!" She observes. She glances at the audience. "Laugh!" She shouts. When there is no reaction she stands up and stomps her foot on the ground. "Laugh!" She screams. She takes control of Cesar's fear and forces him to laugh. "Good~, good~" she purrs. She sits on the arm of Cesar's chair and grabs his chin and forces him to stare up at her. He tries to stop her, but she manages to paralyze his muscles by forcing his fit of laughter to worsen. "I've been waiting for this day." She takes a deep breath through her nose and closes her eyes. When she opens her eyes, they are black.
"I've been waiting for the day the Capitol would be foolish enough to release me! They have no idea the pain they caused me. What they caused for others. Oh, I am not ignorant of the burden many have to carry. Their pain never leaves me. Yet, you guys turn a blind eye to all their suffering. No, what you do is worse than ignoring, you encourage it! It's about time you open your eyes to the suffering, although it appears that you'll have to be forced." She drags one of her nails across his cheek and draws a bit of blood. "Does that hurt?" She asks softly. "That pain you feel, is nothing compared to what I- no, what all of us feel on a daily basis, and it's all because of the Capitol." She then shoves him back, making him and the chair topple backward. "You'll all crumble beneath my feet one day! Mark my words!" Zahara roars. Her arms were spread open as if she were about to hug an invisible person. "If I survive the arena then I'll return with a vengeance!" She promises. "I'll burn the Capitol to the ground and laugh at your faces when you have nothing. We'll all be on equal ground then, but you'll be worse off than all of us!" The buzzer goes off beside her, signaling the end of her interview. She finally releases Cesar, who gasps in surprise. She turns around and strolls offstage without a final word. She is in love with the fear that fills the air behind her.

Zahara was once again dolled up. She had shown that she had a feisty nature, so they had changed her pink attire to red. Why? Because blood is red so that equals feisty and dangerous.
Zahara snorts at her stylist's lack of creativity, but she doesn't object to anything he put on her. She wears a long red gown that hung off the shoulders. He had painted her long nails red and had taken the bows out of her hair, allowing it to hang loosely behind her back. They added the finishing touch by curling her hair and adding a bit of blush and mascara onto her face. Zahara was oddly surprised by her reaction. She had to admit, she actually looked pretty.
.....

Maci was once again placed into a white dress. Again, she had to listen to her stylist call her "his little swan." Like Zahara, her stylist seemed to lack creativity. He places her in a white dress. He had curled some of her hair and placed it in a high ponytail, then he let some strand of her hair hang loose. With that done, he added fake lashes on her eyes along with dark eyeshadow. After all that, she was done and allowed to leave. She doesn't bother looking at her reflection, she was just eager to get this over with.

After pondering on both titles for a moment, Colette decides to read For Whom The Bell Tolls. (Dang the description is super interesting :o.) It easily grabs her attention and while she usually dreads reading, she finds that she is actually enjoying the book. This says a lot, because she was a slow reader, so she wasn't too far into the book.
As she reads she silently mouths each word out loud. A childish habit she never seemed to outgrow. At least she is quiet now, and not causing trouble or distracting poor Lewis from her book.

Colette hesitates. She had never enjoyed reading. Still, she had to admit that reading would be far more enjoyable than sitting here staring off into space. Who knows when the others will show up? "Yes please. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it." She finds that she was quickly starting to like Lewis, she had a feeling that Lewis could be a great potential friend. "I'm Colette by the way, but you can just call me Cole. What's your name?"

"Thank you," Colette tells her kindly. She accepts the pen and to her satisfaction, she can actually write on the paper with it. She finds the questions were straightforward, far easier than she anticipated. She had no reason to panic earlier. It doesn't take her long to finish the form. When she's done she gives the form to James and then sits down in the same seat. She leans back onto the chair and places her legs on the desk. She stares up at the ceiling, her impatience was clearly written on her face. The desk nearly topples backward under her bodyweight. She leans forward just enough that the desk will no longer be halfway up in the air, which makes the desk fall back onto the floor much louder than she intended. "Hmm, here's your pen back," Colette tells Lewis as she holds the pen out towards her. She nods towards Lewis's bag, noticing the large books next to it. "Why do you have so many books? Do you like reading?"

She doesn't have to think too hard about this. She can either step into a world that is far away from her parents and receive free education or return back to the grasp of her parents and continue, quite literally, fighting her way up the social ladder. She smiles and grabs a pen out of her haversack (basically a tiny backpack that usually hangs onto the hip.) "I've come a long way to just turn around and run away at a moment's notice. I'll just fill it out over there" she nods her head towards Lewis, noticing that there was a free spot by her. "Excuse me" she politely dismisses herself and walks the short distance over to Lewis. Noticing that the girl was reading, she does her best to not distract her as she takes a seat and begins to answer some of the questions. Her plan ultimately fails, as she is forced to loudly scribble on the corner of the paper in the hopes of drawing up ink. She quietly curses to herself for having the dumb luck to have a pen that is out of ink.

Sweat dripped down Colette's shoulders and brow as she worked on beating up her punching bag. Her strength and endurance were exemplary for a girl her age, partly why she had won so many national awards. Her ability to win most fights came from her skill, which was taught to her at a young age, and her ability to read her opponent. It didn't usually take long for her to pinpoint a weakness. She takes measured breaths, only really breathing every time she is forced to dodge the bag whenever it sailed towards her. Her father stands behind her with his arms crossed. He barks orders at her, demanding improvement on her smallest mistakes. She hears a faint knock at the door but manages to ignore it. She doesn't stop until a hand clasps her shoulder.
"You've received a letter," her father tells her. She turns around and accepts the letter. She isn't surprised to see that it was already opened. Her mother stands next to her father. She was clearly unable to hide her excitement.
"I've gotten a scholarship?" She announces. She couldn't help but sound confused. Her? For what reason? Her parents automatically start celebrating, but their cheers sound distant to her ears. She is unable to fathom why she of all people would receive a scholarship. She was in no way shape or form book smart. On top of that, she was known to be a troublemaker. Why would they take a chance on her? Hmph, this place looks far away. Any place is better than here. She forces a smile on her face, but other than that, she shows little enthusiasm.
....

The man that met her was certainly strange. He went by the name James. He seemed friendly enough, but still, she couldn't help but feel cautious about this strange man. With her thoughts going wild, she almost misses his request to read the letter further. It dawns on her that there was more to this piece of paper. Her brows furrow at the questions. "What is this?" She asks.

..............

Personality: She's been known to cause trouble. But she is just acting out due to being annoyed by herself for never reaching her parent's approval. She can be pretty quiet and rude at times.
