Both Cam and Mattie blinked back to themselves. Cam hurried to sit behind Mattie, Theseus practically screaming in his head. Mattie gladly averted her eyes and replied to Crystal's comment while trying to ignore Metis' panicked screaming. "Plants die at my touch," Mattie muttered miserably.

Cam darted through the hallways, looking repeatedly at the schedule he had in his hand. "Hall H, classroom 204..here, finally!"
He walked inside, suddenly feeling a sense of foreboding as he glanced about the half empty roo. Cam's eyes locked with a girl with queer, electric blue hair and his heart stopped.
"It's her," Theseus stated in shock.
Cam didn't even notice the pretty girl in the dress he had met at the door. His eyes were fixed on the girl he had once known as his half-sister.

~~~
Mattie nodded nervously. "The elements are forms of energies. Fire has always been the element I'm most comfortable using."
Mattie's eyes swiveled to the opened door, where a familiar silver-eyed boy that haunted her nightmares stood, locking eyes with her. She understood what the sudden shift in the air had been .
Metis and Theseus resurfaced and looked at each other.
"Long time no see, dear sister," Theseus' voice echoed along with Cam's.
"You," Metis hissed in fear.
Metis shrugged. "I'm just hoping I don't make anything catch fire once he arrives. The nearest bathroom is like, a hallway away."
Mattie bit her lip and shook her head slowly. "I rarely ever had time for games when I was on the run," she said with bitter smile.
"Though I did teach you how to hack... Metis reminded her.
"You taught me to hack things like cameras. Not games," Mattie pointed out.
"I hate it when you have a fair point..." Metis grumbled.
[I`m on the phone so won`t be typing way too long paragraphs like before, and might need to randomly poof.
With a gesture, Cam piled his luggage by an empty bed. His cheeks were burning hotly from the previous encounter with the girl in the dress. He hurried into the bathroom to change into a pair of worn designer jeans and a simple bright blue tee, throwing a white jacket over it. He left his messy hair as it was, grabbed his newly bought school bag from one of his suitcases and raced out of the door.
~~~

Matilda had taken her seat when a dark-haired girl entered the room. She felt something shift in the air, and her breathing became rapid.

"Metis, do you feel that?" Mattie thought urgently.
"My brother draws close," Metis whispered, fear creeping into her voice.

[Ookay, still a few sentences, just takes me longer.]

Cam mentally cursed as he nearly lost complete control. "U-um, yeah. Energy manipulation."
He eased his luggage into the doorway and set them down gently. Cam noticed the girl was clutching a expensive looking school bag and a simple piece of paper that he assumed was the class schedule. "Oh, class is starting a-already? I'll bring up my luggage to my dorm room. I-I'll catch you later."
Using his powers at a dangerously high level, he levitated them back into the air, practically running for the dorms.
"Coward," Theseus mumbled.
Cam ignored him, and maneuvered his way up to his dorms. Oh, how glad he was to have memorized the map and his room number, R22, before he left for the academy.

[I gotta go, x.x. Sorry, will continue RPing in like, ten hours or so-so.]

Cam instantly shrank a few inches. The members of the opposite gender always unnerved him, the exception being his mother. The girl looked like another member of the high class, sent here because of her powers. She seemed to be comfortable in her dress, unlike him. He would gladly exchange this dang suit for some jeans and a normal tee.
"H-hi," Cam stammered, almost losing control of the floating luggage behind him. Air was closely related to water, thus he was rather proficient in manipulating both energies.
"A dashing young lady! Cameron, charm her with displays of power!" Theseus exclaimed dramatically.
"Theseus, this isn't the medieval ages anymore," Cam thought wearily.

Cam was a very unhappy and itchy mess when the limo drove up to the entrance of the academy. He had obliged to wear a formal suit, the kind that his parents liked seeing him in, and it was extremely uncomfortable, even with the air conditioning.
His mother had been reduced to tears and his father had no smile on his face when they had informed him a month earlier of the academy. It would be good for him to mingle with people like him. Maybe he'd even find some friends. Cam quickly dispelled the bubble of hope growing in his chest, feeling a pang of guilt at leaving his parents. It had been hell for them to send away their only son, and here he was, actually happy to be here. His personal chauffeur, Darian, got all his luggage out for him as he studied the front of the academy.
It certainly wasn't a disappointment. Soft grass covered most of the front, a few trees sprouting here and there, and a stone path snaked its way to the front steps, where a handsome oaken door stood proudly. The building itself was a queer sort, with towers and windows randomly patched everywhere, but gave off a friendly feeling to any onlookers. Cam pushed away the depressing memories of his parents' expression as they watched him leave, and inhaled the fresh air deeply. This was a new start for him, and he was determined to make it a happy one.
"I'll bring your luggage up till the front door. That's as far as I can bring 'em," Darian said apologetically.
"It's fine, Darian. Thanks," Cam said gratefully.
"No problem, kiddo," Darian grunted affectionately as he carried the trunks and suitcases one by one to the front. Cam was like a son to him.
"Tell my parents to not worry, please? I'll be fine," Cam pleaded as Darian finished lugging all his luggage to the front door and prepared to go back to the limo.
"Will do. Your parents will be relieved to hear that. Best employers in the entire world, I can't say no to a simple favor like that. G'luck, kiddo," Darian tipped his hat at him before getting into the limo and driving off.
Cam turned to face the solid oaken door and its shiny brass doorknob and exhaled.
"Good luck. Heh, we'll be needing it," Theseus muttered as Cam reached to open the door.

~~~
Mattie fled back to the dorm, finally having regained control of her breathing. She pulled out her school bag and supplies from her shoulder bag, then quickly organized them. She yanked her school bag up to her shoulder and raced after Bellatrix.
"Someone's glad I told them about enlarging the insides of things," Metis sang as Mattie panted through the hallways.
"Shut it, you," Mattie gritted her teeth.
[I was thinking we needed more male characters o-o And I needed someone to play as Metis' brother's "reincarnation." So, uh, yeah...]
Student
Username: AnnikaBlair
Character Name: Cameron Mikhail Rochester
Have you previously attended the Academy?: [As in, were you in the first version of this roleplay?] Nope nopity nope.
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Ability[ies]: Exactly like Matilda's, except he's more comfortable with water.
Appearance: Golden blonde windswept hair that for some reason never stays tame, and contrasting pale silver eyes. Due to his rebellious nature, he despises fancy shmancy clothing that his parents want him to wear and likes wearing weather beaten and worn clothing.
Personality: Rebellious, and somewhat distant from people. He tries to find confidence in himself despite the fact all the psychologists had told him he was insane. Even though he was born with the silver spoon, Cam remains humble at all costs. He was brought up to be a gentleman. However, he is especially shy towards girls.
History: Cameron was raised lovingly by his wealthy parents, though they never exactly spoiled him, and reprimanded him when needed. He discovered his powers at the young age of seven, scaring his parents and the servants. Not long after that, Theseus began speaking to him and his parents sent for all the best psychologists in the world, believing their only son was going insane. All kinds of therapy and tests were done, but Theseus stayed. Despairing, his parents decided to homeschool him, giving him the best tutors that money could afford. Though he had been forbidden to use his powers, Cameron could not help doing so and secretly trained until he was caught. Once his parents heard of the academy, they sent him on his way, with many tears.
Other: Has Metis' brother, Theseus, in his head. For some reason, he is unusually comfortable around Matilda.
(Edit: Edited him to become 16.)
"Ugh. Bullies. They weren't so brave about throwing stones at me when I trapped them in a wall for a whole day," Mattie's eyes darkened. It had happened back when Metis hadn't taught her how to melt into the background yet. Mattie had been seven years old, only starting to discover her powers. Though very much against hurting people, Matilda loathed bullies and would gladly scare them if needed. She had let the kids go free before their caretaker could notice their absence.
Mattie let out a sigh of relief. "In that case, you ought to make good use of her. Metis memorizes everything. Really great with tests," Mattie said.
"You mortals and your weak memories," Metis mumbled.
"Because it's totally our fault," Mattie shot back.
"You use me for your own gains! Metis wailed dramatically.
"Oh, shut it, you," Mattie muttered.
Matilda stared in horror and let out a curse, probably Bulgarian. "It appears a part of Metis has been transferred to you, including a part of my subconscious. My God."
"Bellatrix? Can you hear me? Matilda thought loudly.
"My ears!" Metis yelped.
"You're a spirit. You don't have ears," Mattie pointed out.
"I can still hear, can't I?" Metis grumbled.
"Kind...of...difficult...to...stop," Matilda gasped between panting. "Body's...still...t-trying...to...process...stuff. Must b-be overloading m-my tear ducts."
"You are the most stupid host I have ever taken in my entire century of living," Metis' voice was a mere echo.
"Correction, I'm the only host you've ever taken," Mattie snapped back.
"I do try to tolerate it when you're right," Metis' voice was barely a mumble.
"Any particular reason your voice is so much more quiet?" Mattie asked, stumbling to her feet.
"You just injected a part of me into your friend, basically. Of course, I'm more quiet," Metis said, irritated.
"Please don't tell me she can hear you too," Mattie worried.
"Barely a whisper in her head, and her thoughts are shielded from me."
"Good. It's enough for you to poke around in my mind, not in others."
"What's that supposed to me-"
Mattie cut her off with a mental push, leaving her fuming in the depths of her subconscious.
"No, you're not going to be fine," Mattie's voice was tight. Her mind was scrabbling for every piece of information Metis ever told her about life drainers. "You just absorbed a large portion of my pain. My pain's energy flow is a hundred times more pure than anyone's. You won't be able to heal it away without any help."
Matilda wasn't aware she was crying until she was gasping for breath. Her greatest fear was the reason she isolated herself. It was the main reason she left the orphanage. It was the reason she'd never had a friend before. It was the reason for the constant pain in her leg, an aftershock of a tumble of emotions she had had when she'd set a dragon to burn New York.
Her greatest fear was becoming Metis. A cold-blooded killer.
A fresh wave of emotions flowed through her, and Matilda's hands glowed brighter, making poisonous black steam come out of Bellatrix. The steam was Mattie's pain in a gaseous form.
Her hands stopped glowing, and she clenched them into fists. The steam hung in the air, waiting.
"No. More," Mattie hissed, willing the pain to nonexistence.
As the steam disappeared, Mattie gasped for breath as tears poured down her cheeks. Her body had gotten so used to the pain it was still trying to process the fact that most of it was gone. Mattie was just tired now.
[Personally think that was a bit dramatic, but oh well.]
Matilda lay on the floor, the pain in her head not faltering. Black spots danced across her vision, her body trying to process what just happened.
"S-st-stu-stupid....girl....look....what...happened..." Metis' voice was a pained echo.
"Metis?" Mattie managed to think. "What happened?"
Metis let out a feeble laugh. "Your little friend took away some of the pain you carry.
"Then why were you so against it?" Mattie wondered.
"Besides the fact that she could have killed both you and herself? I am your pain, Matilda. The pain you carry lured me here into your mind, letting me avoid death's clutches. Your friend just took away a large portion of it, possibly killing herself, and now I have lost a large part of my anchor. Split between time and space. I can still hang on, but I am not so sure about your friend there.
Matilda shot up to her feet, darting to the bleeding Bellatrix's side. Mattie was tackled by an array of emotions. Most of it was anger at Metis for not telling her exactly what would happen. She had just recovered from the explosion herself, but nevertheless she placed her hands in the air above Bellatrix. A primal cry emitted from her throat - a result of all the emotions charging her- probably echoing from miles around, and her hands glowed, and began to heal.
Mattie hesitated, remembering Metis' words. "Having powers like yours makes your life energy purer than any others. Meaning, life drainers can kill you at a touch if they want to. Luckily for you, there aren't many life drainers left in the world."
"Maybe she was just overreacting again," Mattie tried to reassure herself.
Mattie put her hand out, touching Bellatrix's. Almost immediately, hot pain spiked through her entire body.
"MATILDA YOU FOOLISH GIRL!" Metis screamed, sounding incredibly distant.
As quickly as the pain appeared, it dissipated. Mattie sucked in some air, hoping it was over. It might have been over for Mattie, but not for Metis.
"MAKE THE PAIN STOP!" Metis bellowed, giving Mattie a headache. "STUPID GIRL! YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU'VE JUST DONE! MAKE IT STOP!"
Mattie's outstretched hand was jolted with a sudden burst of energy, and an explosion pushed both of their hands back.
Mattie blinked in surprise. It was the first time anyone had ever personally offered to help her. Like, the social services had said the school would help her. But people offering to help her to stop the pain? That was new. "Uhm, I'd like that, thanks."
