	Atticus had already chosen a rose bush to stake his claim. He plucked the most prosperous one, he identified it as "Chrysler Imperial". He inhaled. The airy and fruity scent carried him away. He plucked a petal and popped it in his mouth. Glorious. He drained it of it's color and dropped it on the ground where it withered and died. [Read more]

Backstory: His father set up a marriage between him and a lifelong friend. After being told, he loathed the friend. An arguement they had caused the other to jump in a well.
Personality: Atticus is slightly weak in emotions (he cries easily, but selfishly) He was pampered through his lifetime, so he is egotistical and gets angry quickly
Power: Lux. He can control/manipulate colors. He feeds and lived off of the amount of color in his system

Atticus watched Cath go, then walked to the pond. There were colorful koi fish in there. He dipped his hand in the water and waited for a fish to come near. He drained it of it's color and went to a quiet area in the library. He took the butterfly and put it in a small locket. The wings of the insect could fold, a talent of Reina's. He quietly slid it into his pocket and turned. He steadied himself. The diplomatic mission was going to be tomorrow, so he had to get rest. He paused, debating whether or not to sleep in his dorm, but decided on finding a sleeping bag and sleeping in the Rose Garden.

Atticus flinched. "I am fine." He said it automatically. He shook his head, more to himself rather than her. "No, who am I kidding. Too many memories..." He reached in a pocket and brought out a wooden carving. It was a butterfly. "Reina carved this for me. That was the week before she killed herself." He closed his eyes and clutched the little charm. "We got in an arguement. She said that I needed to follow along with my father's plan and marry her. She said that maybe then I would actually love her. I was her lifelong friend, but it was through business. My father and hers were powerful and wanted to share wealth. If we got married, we would form a family line, but I begun to hate her after my father brought it up. I told her that no matter how much she pleaded, I would refuse to love her as long as she lived so she..." his voice caught," She asked if I would love her if she was dead." He sighed. "She jumped in a well that very night."

The Minister swallowed and raced outdoors. The time had come. He quickly opened the orange bottle and swallowed a pill. It would allow him to pass just as he was. Shoot. He grabbed a tree and quickly scaled it. He jumped over a rock, revealing a cliff. He took the portal gun out of his pocket and aimed it at the open air. He shot and jumped over the air, passing through the portal smoothly. The gun clattered to the ground behind him.

Minister Redding twirled in a chair in the laboratories.He had destroyes all the portal guns except one. It was going to be his escape. He had hidden it in his pocket and replaced the others with phonies. If all went as planned, they would get here and try to use one. He would laugh and leave. He shook his head. It probably wouldn't be that easy, but nothing was here. He would just figure it out when the time came.

"Cath?" Atticus was panicking. He couldn't find Rin, nor Cath. "Rin?" He stumbled backwards, falling into a tree. In his panic, it turned ashened white. The dead leves fell on his now bright red-gray hair. He fumbled with a drawstring bag at his waist and took out a wind crystal. He flew back to the Academy, looking, looking. He landed, and without finding Cath or Rin, he ran to his dorm and tried taking deep breaths. He couldn't calm himself, so he locked the dorm door and fell on his bed trying to breathe.
