"Let him go" Maci urges Lucky. "I don't want him to go either" she admits, "but I understand what he feels. Someone hurt him, far more than any wound one could receive, I don't condone violence, I feel like revenge is beneath you-" she pauses, "but sometimes it's necessary, not only to protect the ones you care for, but to finally be able to save yourself." As she speaks her words she can't help but imagine going after her enemies. That is... If she ever discovered who they actually were. If she were in his shoes, then she'd do the same.

Zahara awakens to find one of their members missing. She slowly stands up and glances around, as if Lifei were hiding in plain sight. She walks into the woods, seemingly at random, she carries her ax, just in case she meets trouble.

Maci nods and moves over to Alana, pausing in front of her before turning around and stepping back over by Phenix. She quickly recalls their conversation. "Hey" she says lightly, "whatever you plan on doing- ...I know I can't stop you, but don't do anything stupid" she smiles, "you have to be careful so that you can come back to us." She gives him a respectful pat on the shoulder and then returns to Alana.
She notices Meya once she picks up Alana. "What are you doing out here? You should be resting" Maci scolds. She isn't aware that anybody is moving above them until Phenix talks. She tenses up slightly and glanced around. What if it's the person that set these traps? she wonders, but she doesn't dare speak her fears outloud. She relaxes once she notices that it's Lucky who was moving above them.

	Maci works as fast as she can. But Alana was long passed out by the time Maci finally finished closing all her wounds. She looks up at Phenix with a worried expression. "I think she'll be okay. But she lost a lot of blood, she'll be down for awhile." She informs softly. [Read more]

Voices, screams. They all wash over Maci. The pained screams felt all too familiar and for a moment, as she lay on the ground and slowly open her eyes, she assumes that she is simply stuck in a nightmare. At least, until she recognizes Phenix's voice. She races towards his voice, not knowing what to expect. She carries a first aid kit just in case. I wonder if he found another injured tribute.
She slows to a stop, her eyes widening when she notices Alana. "No-" she gasps. She bravely steps closer to Alana, moving catiously just in case there are more traps. She gently picks her up, struggling a bit under her weight. "Don't worry, everything will be okay" she assures

Maci doesn't say much to Meya while she works on cleaning her up, other than a few simple commands so she can access her wounds. She also mutters a few apologies everytime she thinks she is hurting Meya. She was focused, the movements felt strangely familiar. She has never patched a wound before, but she still knew how to do it. She had seen it happen many times during her stay at the hospital.
Stop it she tells herself, bringing her mind back to the task at hand. She was impressed with the contents of the first aid, it had everything she would need to safely close her wounds. "I'm sorry, but these wounds will probably scar" she tells Meya as she stitches up the wound. "I'm surprised to see pain killers in here, let me know if you need any-" she pauses and hands her two. "But for now, you should definitely take these so that you can relax."

	Maci nods and steps back so that Phenix can help move Meya into the cave. She bites back a string of questions: who did this? Why did they do this? Is that person close? Lucky for Meya, she doesn't speak her thoughts. She had a feeling the last thing Meya needed was to be bombarded with questions. [Read more]

Her eyes widen at the sight of the blood. She holds up her hands, showing Meya that she didn't have any weapons. Of course, that didn't mean she was harmless, for all Meya knew, she had powers that she could use on her. "I won't hurt you" Maci promises. "Wait there-" she rushes back over to the others and grabs her fallen backpack that she had obviously grabbed earlier- don't question this.
She returns back to Meya and opens up her bag. To her relief, there is a pretty large first aid kit in the bag. She shows this to Meya. "I'm going to move closer to patch you up" she warns. "Is that okay?"

The group had moved pretty deep into the forest by now. Maci's eyes had adjusted to the darkness, but it was still difficult to make things out. "Look" she whispers. The words just barely left her mouth. She was tired, and couldn't really speak too loudly. But she kept forcing herself to continue onward.
She points to a small cave on their left. "It's not the best shelter" she admits. "But it'll do for now. We can find a better spot in the morning." She yawns and stretches, already determined to crawl in that cave and sleep, despite her growing hunger and thirst. She jumps in surprise upon hearing gunshots that were close by. She tenses up when she hears footsteps, but they seem to move away from them.
Maci isn't sure what it is, but her feet move on their own accord. She doesn't have to walk far to reach her, she was walking towards them anyway. She gasps at the sight of Meya. "Are you-?" She shuts up before she can get the words out. Meya was obviously hurt, she could tell from the way she walked. "Phenix!" She calls out, both in warning and a desperate attempt to have someone help Meya. "You're hurt" she observed outloud. "Follow me, I'm sure we have a first aid kit, we'll help patch you up." Despite her exhaustion, she offers Meya a hand. Just in case she needed someone to lean on.

Zahara had fallen asleep on the job. She stirred slightly when she heard Echo and Lifei bicker. Her only sign that she heard them was the smallest smile of amusement that crosses her face. She falls asleep quite quickly after that.

Her eyes soften upon seeing Shiloh's helpless expression. "Don't worry, we'll find a way to allow you to talk to us. I have a feeling that you need to vent." She offers Shiloh an encouraging smile that falters away once she hears Alana. She haven't even realized that it was starting to get dark out.
Maci eyes widen. "I'm wary of the forest. I saw multiple tributes run in there. With the thick trees and brush, ambushes will be extremely easy." She turns her head towards the beach, shivering at the thought of staying in multiple land. "Hmph, still, I'd rather take my chances with the forest." She glances at her teammates, waiting for someone to move, when nobody takes action, then she takes a step forward, which kinda forces Shiloh to follow. "Let's get moving, it's going to impossible to find or make a shelter once it gets dark out."

"Shiloh!" Maci gasps and kneels in front of her, she gently wraps her arms around one of Shiloh's and helps her onto her feet. Her worry for Shiloh seems to give her a bit of energy, allowing her to withstand Shiloh's weight if Shiloh needs to learn against her. "Are you okay?" She asks, even though she knew Shiloh wouldn't really be able to answer, other than simple yes and no. The answer was pretty obvious and Maci silently curses herself for asking such a question.
Like Phenix, she glares at the retreating boy, but other than that, she mostly ignores him. She doesn't notice Phenix's sudden change in demeanor from spotting Sedric, she was too focused on Shiloh. "You're safe now, or as safe as one can be in these d*mned Games" she quickly assures.

Zahara had simply grabbed a backpack at random and a large ax, which she is currently half leaning on just outside the cave. She was quite delighted to see Echo and Lifei alive, although she did her best to seem dismissive about it. Upon having her life saved, all she did was sneer at the dying tribute. She even kicked the tribute's side. Other than that, she managed to avoid her bloodthirsty urges.
Her backpack was large, but to her dismay, it didn't have a lot in it, or as much as she was expecting. Just a medium sized quilt, three pots, matches that sat in a water-proof container, and a few granola bars. "It's better than nothing." She had said with a sigh. "Man, I thought this would be like Mary Poppins and that there would be more supplies in this backpack than this."
As she gazes around the area, she had to admit, this was a very beautiful place. They definitely picked the correct spot. Everything seemed to be going just fine at this moment. Zahara smiles at this thought.

Maci tenses up, hearing footsteps slightly behind them to their right. Before she can open her mouth to point it out, she hears a voice: "You little-GET BACK HERE!" Her heart sinks. Someone was in danger, and they would have to leave this person behind. But through the treeline, she sees a familiar sight.
"Shiloh!" Maci calls. Trying to grab her attention and hopefully scare off the boy. The odds of him winning a five on one fight were slim, regardless of this groups energy levels.

Maci nods. She releases the female tribute, who quickly steps away from Maci and to her partner. The only sign of her being in pain was her discreetly rubbing her shoulder when she thought nobody was looking.
Maci sticks close to Phenix, Alana, ~~and Shiloh?~~. "Where should we go?" Maci asks.

Zahara felt the male tribute tackle her. No! She thinks desperately. HELP me! Don't KILL me! Just as quickly, she feels arms lift her above the water and hold her close, allowing her to cough up water and breath air. "Sorry about that." The boy says,his voice dazed. Once she is able to breath normally he haves her hold onto him while he swims to shore. Unlike Maci, she doesn't try to help him. They both nearly drown at one point as he struggles to keep both of them above water, but finally they reach land. She releases him from her grasp and his anger returns. But he is too tired to fight her. She kicks his face and he holds his bloodied nose and rolls tiredly onto his back. "That's for almost drowning me!" She growls. "And for saving me... Well, i'll spare your life this time. Ta ta!" She strolls closer to where Echo and Lifei will land on shore.

Surprise flickers in Maci's gaze when she realizes that she had just evaded death. She shoots Lucky a thankful look before returning her gaze to Phenix. That's when she notices the sudden danger he is about to face. Maci curses outloud. She may be low on energy, but that didn't mean she would sit idly while some tributes waited to attack Phenix when he went down. She turns around and storms towards them. "Hey!" She shouts. "Grow a heart please, and leave us alo-" she moves her head out of the way, just in time to avoid a punch by one of the tributes. She steps towards the one who had tried to punch her. The girl, she grabs the collar of her wet suit and puts a leg between hers. She sweeps one of the girl's legs up, knocking her off balance and sending her towards the ground. Her fall was accelerated by Maci, who hasn't let go of her. The girl lands awkward on her side and hesitates a moment too long, because Maci manages to wrestle her down onto her stomach.

Maci manages to grab an arm, which she pins awkwardly against the girl's back, she yelps out in pain. But rather than fight Maci off, she struggles to keep her face away from the waves. "Let her go!" Her partner begs. He steps towards her and Maci raises the girls arm up more, making the girl call out in pain from the tension that builds up in her shoulder. "Why should I give her mercy when you two wouldn't do the same to us?" Maci asks. "Don't you dare take another step or I'll break her shoulder!" Maci threatens. Her voice sounds weak and she hopes that the two tributes don't catch onto the fact that she was extremely weak right now.

With her newfound energy and the help of Phenix, Maci finds that she is able to keep herself up above the water and also swim fast enough to keep up with Phenix. Although she isn't sure how long this'll last for. She chases this thought away and focuses on the shore ahead. Her heart was lifting the closer they got. Finally, they were close enough that she could stand in the water by herself. "Thank you" she tells Phenix again. She glances over his shoulder. "Where's Alana and Shiloh?" She asks

"Are you sure?" Maci asks, her voice cracking slightly as she fails to hide how terrified she was. But what choice did she have? It was either wait here until her energy returned, or accept help from Phenix. She slides off the pedestal and kicks her legs furiously underneath the water, at the same time, she moves her arms in a fluid motion (don't know how to describe it, but you get the idea) so that she can keep herself steady above the waves. She sucks in a breath of air and begin to shake violently. Images of her fight with her uncle appear in her mind. She can already feel her muscles locking up, not from her exhaustion, rather her stress.
Fight the voice sounded like Jaxon's. It drags her mind away from the fight and throws her back into reality. Suddenly, she feels a burst of energy move through her. She swims the short distance over to Phenix and wraps her arms around his neck. Although she tries to continue keep kicking her legs out under the water so that her dead weight wouldn't be dragging him down. "Thank you" she tells him.

Catching movement on the corner of her eye, Maci spots Phenix next to her. She feels herself relax, but only a little bit. It was nice to see a familiar face. Especially one that wasn't hostile. She had enough on her plate as it was. The last thing she needed was to be attacked. She shakes her head at him, silently telling him that everything was not alright. She glances down at the water again, staring down at it as if it were quicksand.

As the ground underneath Maci raises into the air she catches movement on the corner of her eye. A flash of light. She turns around just in time to see her stylist dodge a strange flaming ability. He glances up at Maci, winks and disappears. She watches all of this with wide eyes. Was her stylist lying about his powers? That didn't matter, what mattered was that he was safe from the Capitol's assignation attempt. He had truly risked his life for her by revealing all that stuff. Was he even right about that stuff? What if it was fake? She shakes her head at her thoughts. Everything he told her had to be real...
Wind hits her face when she surfaces in the arena. She gasps at the water around her. "No" she whispers. She would never be able to make it to land. Not with her strength! Or more, her lack of it.. she moves her gaze over to Faith, who would need to somehow protect Charlie. To Ariel, who was pregnant, to Shiloh. Would Shiloh be okay? If they could do it, then she could too. She would have to survive this to help protect Shiloh! She takes a deep breath and watches the clock.

Zahara spots Echo and Lifei right away and waves back at them. She smiles at the water, oh it's been so long since she swam. It brought back good memories of the few times she went to the pool when she was just a toddler.
Wait...
Could she even swim!? She glaces back at the pair and waves her arms like crazy. She mimes swimming and shakes her head no, hoping they'll get what she is hinting at. She refused to die this early in the Games. No, nature wouldn't be the death of her! How was she supposed to make it to the other side? She glances at the boy on her left, smiling mischievously when she senses a negative emotion flowing off him- he was watching her too, with the intent to kill. She changes that intent to kill with an intent to help. He would help her reach land, or die trying.

Zahara is quite happy with the color of her wet suit. "I look good in red" she tells her stylist, remembering how she looked last night. She sits in her chamber boredly. She is nervous, but only for Echo and Lifei. She hated to admit it, but she was starting to care for the two, she wouldn't want anything bad to happen to them.
Then there was a much darker side to her. It's teeth were bared and it's eyes were wide and wild. It was like a creature that smelled blood and lusted for the taste of it. She wanted to put on a show for the Capitol, she wanted to show them her true power and what would happen to them if she survived.

Maci had gotten both a tracker and- as she expected- a high dose of 'medicine,' almost double of what she usually receives. She finds that it takes almost all of her energy to keep her balance and walk correctly. She falls forward once she steps into her chamber, but luckily, is caught by her stylist.
"I hate to see you like this Maci" her stylist tells her as he helps her to the launch room.
"I'll be fine once this wears off" Maci tells him. She doesn't mention how scared she is, especially to be in this vulnerable state right before the Games will truly start.
"You don't need to wait" her stylist says. "You can fight off this poison- because that's what your 'medicine' basically is, a poison. You've always been able to, whenever you knew it or not. That's why you need to take multiple doses everyday."
"How can you be so certain of that?" Maci asks in disbelief.
"My power is similar to yours. I can sense the strength of the powers around me. Although other than you, I can't manipulate them. I can see the fluctuate in your powers. Your powers are like a chained tiger right now- strong and dangerous, but trapped. Instead of fighting to find your powers, you must break the hold you placed on yourself."
"How?" Maci asks.
"You'll have to find out yourself. I'm sorry I can't be any more help, but you are close to breaking the hold you placed on yourself." the stylist sighs. "One more thing, you have to know this, your cousin, Asher, he isn't dead. But your uncle-"
"I know" Maci tells him. Her stylist sighs in relief. "Thank you, thank you for everything." She offers him a smile. All if this information was dangerous to reveal to her. She can't help but appreciate his bravery.
"Stay strong my little swan." Her stylist pulls her in for a hug before stepping back, knowing that the barrier will close between them, and she'll be lifted into the arena.

The crowd awws at this. After that, the buzzer goes off, signalling the end of this interview. "Thank you Alana, let's give her a round of applause!" Cesar calls out encouragingly. The crowd eagerly applauds Alana offstage. "That is it for this years interviews! This is Little Cesar's Pizza™ speaking, I bid all of you a great night! All of us shall anxiously await the day of the arena!"
