Mia jumped slightly as she heard the explosion, glancing towards the back. "Get up," she hissed, dragging her partner up onto his stool with difficulty as she reigned in her Metamorpmagi magics. She gasped as Amanda was handed a detention slip, but wisely kept her mouth shut, noting the look on Professor Lacroma's face.

"Ms. Rinestone, Ms. Grey, bring me samples of your potions," the professor said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Mia meekly ladled the blue potion into a vial, bringing it to the professor, noting the look on Callisto's face. The professor handed the vials to the pair, who gulped the concoction down.

"Be grateful your classmates' potions were successfully brewed," he snapped, watching the boils disappear. "Class dismissed."

Mia cleared the station, hurrying outside to catch up with Timmy.

As Arashi stirred the cauldron a final time, the potion turned a light blue. "Very good, Mr. Zadkiel, Ms. Grey, although it could be a touch ligh-." He paused as the potion took on a lighter shade of blue. "30 points to Ravenclaw," he muttered as he stalked elsewhere. "I suspect a surprise from both of you during your O.W.L.s."

Mia closed her eyes in relief. Luckily, the powdered dried nettle she added had counteracted the sudden rush in ingredients just in time. Still, she mused, Timmy had several things to answer for.

Mia is generally good in each subject, but the ones she truly excel in are Transfiguration and Charms. She does reasonable well in Astronomy, but that is her true weak point. Hours of studying go into this subject to keep her grades up.

(This is possible, I know someone like this in real life)

Unfortunately, she's deathly scared of heights, which is probably due to her parents trying to hang her from a high tower when he was younger.

{Well, we had breakfast, and are in our first class; potions. We have all paired up; Callisto with Clarisse, Mia with Arashi and Timmy with (I don't know who). Mia also managed to nearly slip up with her ability during a miscommunication, warranting suspicion from Timmy and Arashi. Also, the potion's statuses are as follows: Callisto and Clarisse- Complete, Arashi and Mia - One more stir to completion, Timmy- Halfway-through.

5 points have also been awarded to Gryffindor and Slytherin, Clarrise and Callisto have found out a bit more about each other and suspicion of Mia has also been aroused in Professor Lacroma (Potions Professor)}

	As Mia added in the horned slugs, she stirred the cauldron once before taking it off the fire. She reached for the porcupine quills, adding them in as she handed the ladle to her partner for him to stir the potion. She glanced around at the class, feeling a pair of eyes on hers. Mia shut her eyes as she glanced at his crushed fangs, wondering exactly how this miscommunication had occurred.

"Very well," she replied, as she took the dried nettles out of her potions kit.

'Hey, Mia?' Felicity asked.

'What is it, Felicity?'

'I don't know if you've noticed, but I can sense your Metamorphmagi magics at work. What did you do?'

To her horror, Mia took a strand of her now grey hair. Oh, gods. She now looked around at the class, most of which were still trying to crush their snake fangs properly. She reverted her hair back to auburn as Professor Lacroma suddenly appeared in front of her. She reddened as the nettles went flying, flicking her wand to collect them together again.

"Did you want something, professor?" Mia asked as politely as she could.

"No, Ms. Grey, but you ought to ensure that these do not go flying off again."

"Yes, sir," she murmured as she added the dried nettles, before quickly adding the icky Flubberworm mucus, stirring it as she took out a vial of horned slugs and some Porcupine quills, hoping that her partner wouldn't mind the sudden skip in ingredients and maybe not notice the....change that had occurred.

Mia looked up at the rather eccentric looking professor with interest. ‘Well, that's certainly a result you could get if you messed around in Potions.'

‘What?‘Felicity asked.

'Nothing. Go back to sleep.'

As the professor finished announcing today's task, Mia minutely shook her head. It was easy for her, granted her solitude for the past few years being used for learning the curriculum. She crushed the snake fangs, waiting for her partner, the just as eccentric looking Ravenclaw boy, Arashi, to fill the cauldron.

(Figured we could move onto the first day of classes; there really isn't that much to do; choosing a bed and going to sleep is a bit..well, boring)

Mia walked down the hallway, following the Ravenclaw prefect as they took several twists and turns throughout the castle.

"Wow, isn't that amazing?" several people whispered.

Mia sighed internally. Felicity had snuck out in the middle of the night to explore the castle and gotten pranked by Peeves. She was now stuck in Mia's bed, forced to stay there for the rest of the day until the emergency potion a prefect had fed her wore off.

As they reached the table, Mia glanced at the ceiling. A clear sky with barely any clouds. 'Felicity will regret sneaking out in the middle of the night; she loves to frolic in the Sun,' she thought as she glanced at the other first year students.
