"Remember me?" a voice out of the darkness asked Elijah. The image of the dragon which had killed everyone in his group loomed out of the shadows. "Do you remember how your old team died? How you failed them?" the dragon paused for a moment. "Now watch as you fail this one."
Suddenly, everyone in the group appeared in front of Elijah. "Stay back, kid." Sarge's image shouted, bringing it's gun round to bear. Suddenly, it fell backwards, blood flowing freely from it's neck, where the dragon had just driven it's claw in. The dragon, opened it's jaw wide and the rest of B Company disappeared inside it's mouth. It turned, it's attention to the survivors, fire building up in it's jaws.

"You have to understand, it's for the greater good." Halsey's voice floated out to Naomi. The image presented to her suddenly sharpened. Every member of Kilo-Five was strapped down, preparing for the surgery. "Of course, they're older than the preferred specimens. The process will be much more stressful. Painful. I don't expect them to make it. But that's a chance we have to take." Halsey's figure went on.

(I'll do the others in the next post, got to go for now.)

Jack nodded, but said nothing, looking around. Then, he simply gestured for them to keep moving. Going around the corner, the corridor opened up into a massive cavern.
"Whoo-ee." Sarge exclaimed.
Suddenly, a dark cloud descended upon the group. "Well, s***." Sarge muttered. There was nothing but complete darkness in every direction. "Guys?" he asked. No reply.

Jack wondered what had happened and prepared himself for the worsr.

The Crawler smiled to itself. The fun was about to begin.

The next warning growl came not from in front of them, but behind.
"S***." one of the humans sighed.
B Company whipped around as one and opened fire at the same time. The corridor seemed to have warped to accommodate the massive black dragon's size. It's claws were easily longer than any of the humans, including Naomi, was tall. It seemed to give a wicked smile, lunged towards Elijah in particular... and disappeared centimetres from his face.

(Ahahahahaha, the Crawler knows your fears, Elijah.)

Suddenly, a low growling filled the corridor. The passage itself turned ninety degrees to the left furthers on. The far wall suddenly lit up with a flickering orange light, which suddenly faded. When the orangeness had cleared completely, something around the corner was casting a large shadow, undoubtedly that of a dragon. Another burst of flame and the shadow disappeared.

Jack quickly changed into his dragon form, taking on his battle shape, his teeth bared. However, he was forced to keep himself comparatively small to fit comfortably in the corridor.

Jack raised his eyebrows but said nothing. B Company simply followed them through to the passage beyond. Suddenly, once everyone had crossed over into the passage, the force field lifted up again.
"Every get the feeling someone's playing games with us? Jack asked.

All accepted. I'll wait until you've finished the Killer. You don't need to specify the rarity of perks, but I'd prefer it if you didn't use the perks at all for Survivors. It'll be kind of hard to incorporate it into the RP as not everyone will have a sound knowledge of them and it might be a pain to deal with anyway. It's mentioned in the rules that only Killers will use them. Otherwise, all good.

"Let me ask you something. Has anything sounded friendly since we came in here?" Sarge asked Naomi. "Them...?" Haggard gestured towards the Immortals half-heartedly.
"Rhetorical, Hags." Sarge sighed. He looked ahead. "Now what do we have here?" There was another force field. "Let Redwood the Scholar handle this..." he muttered, fishing out the journal.

Sweetwater nervously stepped onto Elijah's platform. Jack summoned up his own, coloured a crimson hue. "You guys, get on. No pushing and shoving, that's a hell of a long way down." he ordered. Marlowe stepped onto the platform.

"Sure." Jack said. He did a quick head count. "I can do that. But it won't exactly be a comfortable experience."
"Care to expand on that?" Sarge asked. "No." Jack shrugged simply. "Riiiiight..." Marlowe and Haggard echoed.

"Aurora's through these caves. Let's just get it over with." Sarge said. His team exchanged glances with each other, but didn't contradict him. Jack stayed close to them. "We'll have to face several things down there, the Crawler most likely amongst them." he provided helpfully.

"This thing, that I dubbed The Entity, is evil in its purest form. I find it hard to spot, but I can hear the cracking sound this loathsome thing emanates. Like a deity, it surrounds the area, closing in on me as its killers hunt me. It does not seem to be dangerous in itself. Not until you are caught and the killer hangs you from one of the abhorrent hooks. I have ended up there over and over and every time I yearn for both release as well as escape. Pain melts with fear in a most horrid way. Yet I return to it, more or less every night. Once on the hook, the Entity takes over, pulling one upwards to something else."

Rules:
Show hidden content

All PH Rules apply.
No one liners.
No Godmodding (i.e, just escaping a murderer or not taking any injuries on a blow)
No ranged weapons. No guns are functional and can only be used for melee.
THE KILLERS ARE FASTER THAN THE SURVIVORS. ACCEPT IT.
The Killers are not, however, smarter. Keep that in mind.
This entire RP is based off Dead by Daylight(put 'DBD' in Password')
However, unlike the game, we won't have fixing generators to escape. That'd be a pain.
The Survivors will flee the Killers through Realms in the Procedural.
Do not kill a Survivor without the User's permission.
If anyone quits, their Survivor will be assumed to have lost hope and become an NPC Killer.
If you want, it is possible to change your character from Survivor to Killer, but not the reverse.
For balancing reasons, two Killers can not chase the same Survivor.
A Killer can be stunned through improvised weapons.
Preferably, there will be more Survivors than Killers. You can have only two Killers, but up to four Survivors at the same time.
Survivors and Killers need not be from the game. You can make your own in both cases, or use characters from other universes.
For official characters, the abilities and history must be consistent with the Wiki as far as possible.
In the Wiki, it specifies certain Perks and Abilities for each Killer and Survivor. THESE ARE ONLY RELEVANT FOR KILLERS.
I will be controlling the Entity.

I know it's a bit to remember. In essence, Survivors (majority) run from killers (minority) who are trying to kill them.

If you wish to be an official character, please paste the link to their wiki page in the 'Other'

The RP will start at the Campfire.

"I am not alone. If you set aside the killers. I have found others. Survivors that are just like me. Or at least I believe so, I want to believe so. Sometimes I manage to just catch a glimpse of a poor soul as he gets carried away. Others I have actually told my name. I do not always want to know their names. It makes it harder as they hang from the hook. I help them...sometimes. Just as they help me. Fear is our common denominator. And we bond. We have nobody else. Human contact and interaction soothes this trial we share. I ask myself whether I am better off alone, or if we can come farther together. Sometimes I bare shame as I sneak away from screams. But I have equally often been on the other side, hanging two feet off the ground, whereas I see someone, watching from shrubbery. Like a witness. Maybe it is important to watch, and remind oneself that pain is not the only thing that burdens our lives at this point? But also our souls. Do we deserve to live if we were to escape?"

"These things differ from time to time. But each acts in a similar manner, and with similar human physical traits. But they are more reminiscent of beasts of burden even though I can spot some flicker of humanity. With scars and marks on their skin and body. As if they have been self-mutilating themselves. They even look dead. I fail to see some humanity in them. They are bent on finding me. But somehow they refrain from killing me. Instead I am hung from one of those dreaded hooks. I keep asking myself why they do not snuff the life out me themselves. But someone must control them. Might they do someone else’s bidding?
I keep trying to understand them at the same time as they stalk me. I try finding something that can pinpoint their purpose. I wonder if they might be punished? But in that case, am not I in the same position? Being punished for something, as I try to escape and find some way out of here. They play their role. Without any diversions, they are like a machine that is set on finding any living soul. Are they without hope? Who do they serve? Is there even a master? I have never seen them rest or stop. They hunt until the hooks are occupied. But where do they go after that? Trying to find some answers is one of the few things that keep me sane. For now. If you stumble upon one of these beings you must run and you must hide. Without any sound.''

Death is not death. In this place, life is fleeting. To whomever might find this lore, I can but only provide you with one advice: always move forward. This is what keeps me alive, and has done so for a while. If I were to advise further, I would suggest you harvest every forsaken location for anything that might thwart the horrors that lurk within. And keep an eye on the gates. If they open, you must flee. I hope my scribbles have not been in vain. If you find this lore, make use of it and pass it on. If you find me, bury my body.

"Wha- damn right, we're priority!" Haggard exclaimed. "Calm down, we were planning to do this ourselves, remember? At least we've got some fire support now." Redwood said. Marlowe had lost the trail of the conversation when they'd started speaking in another language. Sweetwater just shrugged.
Jack nodded at Sliuril.

Sarge had started reading the diary again. "Listen to this load of crap." he chuckled. "Here, 'Oh, luminous spirits of the sand! Guide us through the darkened paths of evil!' Ha!" As Redwood finished quoting from the journal, the force field dissipated completely. Sarge seemed surprised for a moment and snapped the book shut. "Well, how about that? I did it. Ha!" The staircase spiralled down into the darkness. "Umm... seems fairly dark and... cave-y... down there. Is there any other way ahead?" he asked.
"Doesn't seem like it." Jack replied.

"Has it, now?" Sarge asked. He looked down at the skeleton that Elijah had tripped over and knelt down. There was a journal next to it. He read the first page to himself and shook his head. Redwood flipped over to the last entry and read it aloud.
"It speaks to us still. Darkness Incarnate. We know now that we can never escape it." He sighed and let the journal slip from his hands. Sarge straightened up.
"That didn't sound good." Marlowe said. "Poor sod must've gotten trapped here. But I didn't come all this way to get die in a bloody cave. Let's keep moving." He bent down, picked up the journal and took point without another word. Sweetwater and Haggard looked at each other, shrugged and followed him.

Marlowe looked back at Sliuril and mouthed "Darkness Incarnate?"

"Sorry, I was just curious." Haggard muttered. "Curiosity killed the cat." Jack shot back. "Let's just get going." Sarge said. "Helljumpers are tough, but I don't think that he is going to appreciate it if we let him have all the fun."

"Would... 'forewarning include... ah... his screams as he dies a painful and terribble death?" Marlowe asked. Sarge frowned. "Thermals?" He asked Sweetwater. "Just the guy." Sweetwater replied.
Jack looked around. His Sword was glowing and seemed to be giving off a very slight hum. He suddenly jumped as something poked him. He whipped around to find Haggard, who had just prodded him with a finger. "Damn it!" Jack half shouted. "If it was possible for me to have a heart attack, it would have just have happened!"
"Sorry, just wondering what you are. And, more to the point, DO YOU EXPLODE?" Haggard asked.
Jack looked at Sliuril with something close to a pleading/'please kill me or him' expression in his eyes.

Sarge thought about it for a moment. "Well, f**k it. Retirement would have been boring anyway. " He muttered. "Let's go." He gestured deeper inot the cavern.
Jack, meanwhile, had summoned the Sword of Aeons and was examining it.

"That's right. Sliuril, was it?" he asked, not totally unkindly, but there was a slight edge to his voice. He was simply wary.
Jack looked around. The Fallen Knight, the Crawler, had fled long ago. No doubt he would be waiting further in the tunnel system.

Redwood nodded. He looked over his shoulder. "These caverns go hell of a lot deeper. No doubt, there's gonna be more of those things in here. We should get moving. Marlowe, take point. Sweets, pull up at the back." he said.
Jack glanced at Sliuril. "The King does as he pleases. How other people feel about his actions or words are secondary considerations for him. If he considers them at all.
