Honestly, he wasn’t too sure what was in the pokeball, but he had a rather solid idea who it was from.

He would always be a mediator. And he was rather proud of that.

Having long been following the group mostly silently, Connor drummed his fingertips against his thigh nervously, playing with his backpack strap with his free hand. He’d chosen to call the Mudkip ‘Ao’, since, y’know, why not? It seemed to accept the name, so that was a plus.

Simon was rather pleased to learn there was a younger Pokémon on the team. And Pom seemed rather indifferent toward the water type. So, all in all, nothing too shocking.
