Nico and Ronno had advanced a bit on the path to Nimfuu. She would look around them every few steps to see if any pokémon were close. She did feel a bit bad for having to battle them but she knew Ronno needed the experience if they were to clear the first gym. Noticing the deer pokémon shiver slightly Nicoline decided it was time for a break. "We will have to try finding some gear for you too so you can keep warm" Nico said giving the deerling a hug hoping it would warm him atleast a little bit. "Deer, deer" Ronno replied happy to recieve the attention from his new trainer.

Nico opened her map studying the available paths. She made up a plan in her mind and once she felt sure she started to walk towards the path to Nimfuu town.

(Ah sorry, I just assumed due to the bug type gym being there. Maybe adding a description on what types of pokemon are common on the routes would help to prevent misunderstandings like this in the future)

Nicoline took a few steps back not wanting to get involved between the professor and the boy. She let out a sigh of relief realising the talkative girl hadn't pushed her about the number. "oh no" Nico mumbeled under her breath remembering the path to Nimfuu would be filled with bug pokémon. Looking at Ronno she gave him a confident nod, it wouldn't be easy but they would make it through. "I-I'll be leaving then" Nico squeaked quietley before she exited the lab, Deerling following close behind.

(I'll head to sleep now, it is 2 am where I live so. I'll probably fall behind alot rip)

Nico watched as the Furfrou approached the other girl, she didn't want to admit it but she was relieved that left her with two pokémon to choose between. She read through both pokémons descriptions one more time before she nodded deciding on Deerling. Nicoline walked closer to the deer pokémon giving it a stroke on it's head. "Would you like to join me Deerling?" Nico asked carefully. The Deerling sniffed Nicos hand before it nodded happily. "Thank you, how does the name Ronno sound to you?" The girl asked. "Deer, deer" the newly named Pokémon cried sounding very happy with it's name.

When hearing Erikas question Nicoline slightly froze up, she had nevr been good at making friends. Ronno nudged the new trainers hand giving Nico a bit of comfort, she had only just met the Deerling but she already felt like she could trust him.

"I am" Nicoline nodded after Professor pines question "B-but please call me Nico" She added hastily. She knew her name could be annoying to say so she didn't want others to feel forced to say it. The girl glanced at each pokémon standing before her. There were so many choises. Her eyes stuck on a small dog pokemon who was wagging it's tail happily. She pointed the Pokedex she had picked up earlier at the dog pokémon and it started to list information on it. "Lillipup huh" Nico mumbeled. She then did the same with all remaining pokémon, she wanted to be sure she would make the right choise. "H-how do I choose?" Nico said weakly, they all seemed like such good pokémon. They would all make great companions. She loved the cute Lillipup but also adored the fluffy Furfrou. Or maybe the adorable yet elegant Deerling would be something for her?

(I have had the largest writers block for a while now, seems like it has left me ahah...)

Nico gave a greatful nod towards the professor. She quickly scanned the room, getting an understanding on who were there. She could see three trainers had already picked out their starter and a fourth was about to do so aswell. Upon hearing one of the Poochyenas and the Rockruff bark Nico couldn't help but reveal a smile on her face, she was just moments away from recieving her own. Noticing the devices sitting on the table Nico curiously picked up one of them. "Are these for us?" She asked turning her head towards Professor Pine.

Nicoline panted exausted from running, out of all days today was the day she would sleep in? Once she could see the lab come closer her mouth cracked up to a small smile, she had arrived at the lab. Relieved to have reached her destination Nico went from running to a jog all the way down to a walk. She struggeled to catch her breath stopping right before the lab door. Once her breathing returned to normal the girl stepped through the doors, she quickly realised everyone was picking out their starters. Quietly she joined the group hoping she hadn't drawn too much attention to herself.

Age: 15
Gender/Sexuality Female, Bisexual
Appearance: Nicoline has semi-long hair that ends at her shoulders. She usually styles it in high set pigtails. Her natural hair color is light brown but she got tired of it and dyed it rose blonde. Nico has pretty pale skin and gray eyes. Nicoline is avarage height for her age. She isn't very muscular and has a thin body, however not thin enough to shows any bones. Nico usually wears some light blue jeans and a sweater. Over it she wears a light brown pea coat and a dull orange scarf. If the weather is very cold she can also wear black fuzzy earmuffs. On her feet she always has socks and black boots. She uses a black shoulder bag to carry everything.
Personality: Nicoline is a very quiet girl who prefers to listen rather than talk. Due to her being like this some find her very hard to read. Nico feels very insecure as she always worries she will say something weird or hurtful when talking to other trainers. She only feels confident talking when she is alone with her Pokémon. Nico is very gentle yet full of energy. She hates to do stuff half heartedly and will always push herself to do her best. Once a problem arises Nico wont leave it until she finds a sollution. She has always admired nature and the way pokémon live without trainers. You can often find her just observing wild pokémon go about their day.

History: Nicoline comes from Mozukai City. There she would often spend her days just watching the flower feilds and the pokémon living among them. Her parents would always worry she would get attacked by the wild pokemon and not being able to defend herself due to not having a pokemon of her own. They made Nico agree to a certain distance from the feild just in case. Nico was very saddend by this and has ever since looked forward to recieving her starter.
Other: Last name was supposed to be 'Starling' but then I realised they dont exist in this universe, I hope 'Starly' is alright instead.
