The art is great, and I love how cohesive all of the elements are. And the prizes are cool and really help keep the growing prices of previously unobtainable retros in check. The wide range of what you can get is great, since there's pokemon, eggs, plushies, items, and more. But the games... :/ First up we have Ducklett Fishing. Well, I personally don't like how little the amounts are. Like, I didn't wait all this time for "the right one" only to get "Yay, you won 4 tickets!!!" It barely makes a dent in the amounts, and for those of you out there who get lucky with a 50-ticket ducklett, yes, it is just you. Plus, shiny duckletts should be worth more as there's literally one every 200 or smth, and I didn't sit here just to get this absurd scam of a shiny. Next there is Wingull Gulf. I mean it's pretty fun, but you can only play every HALF HOUR, and have to pay 1.5k pd every try after the first. For those newer players with a net worth of 20,000 pd, this is a serious blow to their finances. Like yeah, the game gives you a guaranteed solid amount of tickets (albeit still low), but how long are you really gonna use up this hard-earned pd on this? Apple bobbing! The only ok one here in my opinion. Yes it's only one a day like Emera Fountain, but this one has the chance to give you actually good ticket amounts. Plus other possible things. And the messages are funny X> ...And the corn maze. It's fun at the beginning, when you get to battle pokemon and collect items. But after about 2 minutes you've done all there is and all that's left is finding that ONE ELUSIVE STICKER AUGGGGGHHH WHERE IS IT >:O And then you realize, yes there is an exit, and yes, you need to try to find it. And at this point this game isn't fun or "ooh I wonder what's here", it's boring, repetitive, and a waste of time :') All put together? In my opinion there aren't enough games you can play over and over, vs in the Game Center there's stuff like Hangman, Higher or Lower, etc etc etc. Corn Maze and Apple Bobbing and once per day. Wingull Gulf is locked when you reach a certain number of plays and can only be used every hal hour. And Ducklett Fishing is still only per 15 minutes (if you don't really care for using up time on interacting). So if you use up all the daily stuff then you're stuck with a game that's A) highly luck based B) has a low prize gain C) kinda boring ngl D) only playable every 15 minutes. How're you supposed to get all those cool prizes like that??? But anyway thanks for listening to my ranting (sorry if it sounded harsh tho). Overall it was kinda overhyped, though I will admit the prizes are tempting. The "under construction" section is intriguing, maybe better games will come out in the future. But yeah, that's my review of this. I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks ^^ [Read more] |
