I heard someone enter, my eyes shot open. It was Lucas, he pulled me to my feet. "Hey *yawn* Lucas... Did you need someth-", I stopped. Anubis was standing in front of me, I could feel my sins crawling on my back. (Undertale reference lol) My scar began to throb, "Ouch... Um.. What are you doing here?" Anubis began to apologize, I felt like the scum of the Earth. "Why are you apologizing to me?.. I'm the one that got Elijah killed, why are you apologizing for treating me like you should treat me?..."

We sat behind the waterfall, Lutos and Lucas were playing games. I sat in the corner, soaked from head to toe. Artemis walked over to me in his adult form, his fur was dry since it repelled water. "Hey Arty, you ok?", I asked while shivering. 'I am fine but you are not. Allow me to keep you warm Misaki, we both know that you'll probably get hypothermia if I don't help you", Artemis saitd. I nodded and he walked over to me. He was extremely warm and his fur was soft, like a giant pillow. I felt my entire body warm up and my eyes began to droop, "Hey Arty, I'm gonna take a short nap.." Before Artemis could respond, my consciousness slipped away, I could finally sleep.

I sat on the floor, hating my very existence. If Anubis hated me, then doesn't everyone else hate me too? I felt like Lucas pitied me and Rosaline was only nice to me because she's just a nice person. Lolah and I weren't close but I felt like she hated me too. I grabbed a marker and began to draw on my skin, it burned. When I draw on myself, it's like someone cutting themselves. Each line that I drew would become a scar. I kept drawing, making the designs intricate on purpose. I looked at my arm, it was a black rose. I began to draw thorns, each one making a new scar. My tears began to fall, I was finally done with this beautiful scar. Once the ink washed off, the rose would stay. Forever reminding me of the day I was being selfish and ruined a guy's life.
(This is a flashback to what happened the night Elijah died.)

The entire day, Anubis was glaring at me. His tone is always harsh toward me and he's been treating me like garbage. After class, I didn't join the others. Where ever Anubis was, I wasn't going to be. I heard my phone buzz, it was from Anubis. I decided not to read it, I took smol Artemis out of my hood where he was sleeping. He opened his eyes and stretched, he looked up at me. I pet the small bear and he yawned, I let out a short laugh and put him down on my bed. He walked over to me and tried to jump onto my arm, 'It's ok Misaki! You had every right to leave, you didn't know that this would be the outcome. My eyes began to water and guilt took over me, "IF I HADN'T LEFT FOR SOUL ACADEMY IN THE FIRST PLACE, THIS MESS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED!" My tears hit my bed, no matter what everyone says, this was my fault. My burden that I'd have to bare.

Class started and I wasn't really paying attention, I'd began to sketch tiny animals on my paper. The first one was a small Artemis look a like, the second one was a bunny I'd named Kookie, and the third one was a kitten named Mochi. I brought tiny Artemis to life and began playing with him, rolling my pencil back and forth. He'd try and grab it with his little paws, but since he was only the size of a dwarf hamster, he couldn't stop me from rolling it again. I giggled and petted smol Artemis, he crawled up into the palm of my hand. I sketched a piece of salmon for him to munch on, he happily took it from me and crawling off of my hand.

After I showered, I dressed in my usual outfit. Artemis brought me my backpack, "Hey Arty, doesn't this backpack look a little too plain?" It was a plain white canvas bag with a small paint brush charm on the zipper. I ran into my side room and grabbed some black paint. I began flicking paint onto the bag with a paint brush, "I should start painting again..." I let my bag dry and went to pack my school supplies, there were at least 20 pencils, 2 markers, 6 pens, and 3 highlighters. I realized that I was forgetting something, "Oh! Hey Arty, can you get me like 4 erasers?" Artemis disappeared into my little room and emerged with the erasers. I thanked him and put the supplies into a little pouch, my backpack was now dry. I put everything inside of my backpack and put it on. Before I could pick Artemis up, he took a running start and jumped into my bag. "Ok Arty, let's do this", I said with determination.
