Shuffling uncomfortably, Kenzie's eyes tried to scan around the room, looking for a possible escape. Instead, they landed on a silhouette, moving around in the corner.

Merle was shivering from the loud argument down the hall, he hated loud sounds. When he heard the mention of a "newcomer" though, his curiosity peaked. He slowly faded into the shadows, coming out of another near the entrance to the house, and waited.

Raising an eyebrow, the blonde peeked through the door. There was nothing. She shrugged, then walked inside. It was incredibly dark indoors, so she took out her phone, flicking on the flashlight app.

The sound of footsteps sent a shiver down Merle's spine. Instinctively, he sunk into the shadows even more, if at all possible. He sat there, nervously waiting for whatever creature was heading this way.
