RP Thread

For as long as humanity can remember, there has been these group of outcasts, a group that no one dare interacted with. In fact, most of them don’t even want to interact with each other. Generation after generation, they’ve been treated like they shouldn’t exist, like they were never supposed to live. Truth is, they weren’t... This group of people is called “The Cursed”. They were born with a unique power that is said to do more harm than good. One of the most common power associated with these people is called “Death Touch”, anything they touch will instantly die. Even metal and other non-living objects can fall at the hands of this power. If one is killed, another will be born within a week.

Anyways, there was a day where suddenly all The Cursed were kidnapped and taken to an abandoned school. No one cared that they were missing, in fact, they rejoiced. This is where the story begins, The Cursed find themselves alone in a classroom while the “staff” met up in the gym with the headmaster.

Her mother waited and waited, but Kumei showed no signs of waking up. “Kumei!” The yell was enough to wake her up, but not in a very pleasant way. A yelp followed by a few other loud noises echoed through the car. “We’re where?!” She groggily asked, looking out the window, hopefully finding something to tell her their location. While looking, she found 2 people conversing just outside. So there were people her age here... Lets just hope I don’t slip up this time... Every other emotion she had a few moments ago was washed away by the feeling of guilt, sadness, and anger. “Ku, were you-“ Her mom paused when she looked in her direction, noticing the down expression in the reflection of the window. “Hey... You’re gonna be fine, I know you will...” her mom reassured.

Kumei sighed and slowly looked back towards her mother. “So... what’s the place like? What was it like when you were here?” The question came out of nowhere, shocking her mother a bit. She never talked about it whenever Kumei asked, she always dodged the question. “You... You’ll see...” a gloomy smile appeared on her face.

Kumei and her mother had arrived in the gloomy town well past the time they planned, but that was the usual for them both. She had always either forgotten something important, broke something, or they just had terrible luck. Kumei’s loud and obnoxious snores filled the car as it parked. Her irritated mother sighed and looked up at the ceiling above, wondering what lead her to come here. “Ku... we’re here...” she mumbled, gently nudging her in hopes of waking her up.

Geo decided to stay seated on the ground, cautious of what Lei might do if he attempted getting up. He didn’t bother trying to get the bracelet back, he had plenty. Not like it was his favorite anyways... he stared at the large circle it made as it twirled around her finger, it was almost mesmerizing. “Why would you ask me that if you already know...” he said quietly, there was no trace of an annoyed or angry tone in his voice.

“Well I wanna hear it straight from ya! The moments of sharing stuff is what makes people friends, right?” She giggled as she gently moved her arm around to add a little something to the simple twirl. “We’re gonna be with me for a while, so why not become friends!” She had noticed that Luke had come near them again, but decided not to acknowledge it.

“D-don’t do that...” Geo nervously said to her, gently moving the blade away from his neck. He backed away and glared at her, noticing that the blade was gone and she was back to her ever so excited self. So it wasn’t a bluff after all...

“Of course it wasn’t silly! I always keep my promises!” She laughed and swayed side to side. “Oh yeah! I haven’t said anything about myself yet!” She calmed down and sat at the base of the tree, pulling Geo along with her. “Well... I’m the guardian of the dead! Or I guess you could say I’m what you call the grim reaper, but that sounds too gruesome...” she frowned and tilted her head a bit. “Hmm... what else... Ah! I have control on wether someone gets to live another day, or if their life is cut short...” She seemed to be way too happy talking about something as morbid as death... “But of course there are limitations, and I don’t really care about those!” She giggled and looked up at the trees above. “So what about you? What’s your emo and sappy backstory?” She had managed to steal one of Geo’s many bracelets, and she began to twirl it around her finger.

“Aw maaaan!” She crossed her arms and put on a pouty face. “Stop scaring everyone away, G! Take my advice and lighten up a bit, wouldja?” She turned around and leaned against the tree, then began playing with her hair. “Your expression alone is a bit scary, smile more and maybe you could have more friends!”

Geo scoffed and looked at her. “Would you stop calling me that...” he let out a sigh, then turned around to walk back to the village. “I can’t stand this anymore, I’m goin home...”

Out of nowhere, Lei had appeared right in front of Geo with a jagged blade in her hand, reached out to point at his throat. “Ah ah ah... you’re not goin anywhere...” her cutesy demeanor was only left in her demonic smile, her voice was low and threatening. “You’re pretty dumb to mess with the dead...” the last line sent a chill down Geo’s spine, making him instantly regret trying to walk away

As soon as Luke moved away, Lei moved closer, like a predator cornering their prey. “Luke... Pretty boring name for someone like you!” She giggled, ignoring the other voices she heard a ways away. “You seem fun to be around, let’s be buddies!” She jumped up and down on her tippy toes, showing her joy and excitement. “What do you think G? You wanna be friends?” She turned her head to look at the bored boy.

“N-“ he was about to reply before being cut off. “Great! I can’t wait to have fun with you guys!” She was still jumping up and down with a wide grin on her face.

“Yippee! Let’s go!” Leime jumped in excitement, then quickly pointed out that she might’ve said that a bit too loud. “Well... now they know we’re comin, but that’s alright!” She giggled some more, then began to pull Geo towards the rest of the group.

On the way there, they encountered Luke, Christy, and Cheri. Geo sighed as he looked at them, recognizing most of their faces. He didn’t even know their name due to always being on his own. “So you’re gonna drag me into all their groups, right...” he muttered to Lei, not taking his eyes off Luke. Maybe it was a bit awkward that they would just randomly appear like that, but whatever...
