Myeo winced at Aliana’s response. I shouldn’t have said that... “I-I’m sorry...” she mumbled, trying her best not to let out a tear. She messed up once again, like she always did. Even without her weird curse, she was a total screwup. A good for nothing, pain in the butt screwup. “Maybe something here can help us, stop the pain... I hope...” there it was again. Hope. The thing that haunted her just as much as her curse. It was a burden to her, only there to prevent the end of her life. She felt eyes land on her, but it didn’t seem very hostile. She looked beyond Aliana and noticed Annabeth sitting there, waiting patiently as well.

Her eyes widened with curiosity and surprise. What just happened? Did he disappear? Was this just a silly magic trick? Yet another... Yet another question filled her head... Aliana began to mumble again, which worried her quite a bit. There wasn’t a way to calm her down, was there... Well, she could try... “Hey... maybe he’ll just take us back... I wouldn’t think so hard about it...”

Silence. No response came from the door so far. Well, he didn’t want to be rude, so he didn’t make another sound. His annoyance was rising ever so slowly though, as if he was an impatient man himself.

Myeo thought it strange that Fredrick would just get up and leave like that, but she decided not to bother. Besides, she was still focused on the headmaster which confused her to no end. All she wanted was for her questions to be answered, not to be attacked yet again. The headmaster didn’t seem to care about Fredrick’s sudden leave, and he continued to talk. “Hmm... every one of you seems to still be cautious and wary... I really don’t understand. You weren’t taken here against your will, yet you act like you were... Anyways, I think that’ll change soon enough.”

For a moment, he had stopped talking. It was a minute or two after Fredrick had left and only now he seemed to act. A blur suddenly took his place, then vanished as quickly as it came. The room was now empty expect for Myeo, Aliana, and the staff. He stood outside the classroom in which Fredrick and Shiiro had decided to enter, maybe waiting for them to come out? One knock... Two knocks... Three knocks... “Excuse me, may I come in?”

“Hmm... let’s go ahead and start without them, shall we? After all, even I can’t win against an impatient group such as yours.” He gave a smile, but this time it didn’t seem as twisted. Instead, it seemed a bit more... welcoming? “Now, you all would like your questions answered, yes?” With the snap of his fingers, the atmosphere of the room drastically changed. Now, it was somewhat calming, more relaxed and peaceful. “Yes, you are correct! I am the one who brought you here, a safe haven for the 5 of you! I wouldn’t worry about hurting anyone, or being hurt really.”

Myeo was beyond confused at this point. What was going on? How was he changing the atmosphere like that? What was he even saying? Did it all even matter? Was he lying? All these questions... And yet, she still believed him. Nothing too bad has happened so far, right? He wasn’t doing any harm, right? Then again... why did he bring them here against their will? If they wanted to be safe, wouldn’t they have just asked? It all made no sense to her...

Myeo slowly sat down, and as soon as she did, all the staff members began to line up along the wall closest to the stage, including the one who had guided them. It was quite unsettling, seeing their blank expressions as they walked as coherently as synchronized swimmers, as if they didn’t have a mind of their own. Either that, or they were just that loyal...

The headmaster walked down the row connecting the door to the stage, assuming Fredrick and Annabeth were behind him. He made a small gesture to the other row of seats adjacent to the one Myeo and Aliana were told to sit at, telling them that they should sit there. After doing so, he walked up onto the stage and cleared his throat. “Before we begin, I would like to address a small issue that I have. It seems as though we are missing someone, and I wouldn’t like for them to miss out on the explanation. Did anyone happen to see someone on their way here?” He kept making glances in Shiiro’s direction, but not enough to be noticeable to anyone.

No matter how hard Myeo tried, she couldn’t ignore Aliana’s ramblings. They were starting to drive her crazy... All she did was keep walking and tried to have her own thoughts, but they all just merged with the strange words Aliana was saying. Suddenly, the woman stopped at a row of seats in front of the large stage, then gestured them to sit in them. The chairs were quite fancy, not like those folding chairs that would usually be put here. They were a nice wood with slight engravings, making it look a little more unique. The seats also had cushions for some reason, but not like it mattered. Myeo was slightly skeptical about all this. Why were they not being treated harshly? Why hadn’t anyone tried to hurt them? What was going on?

“Yes, very soon...” he answered, then opened the door and gestured the two inside.

“I-I hope we are...” Myron mumbled as she continued to walk. The voices were getting louder, loud enough to be able to identify the direction they were coming from. About a minute later, they arrived in front of the gym’s doors, and the headmaster along with 2 others in the distant hallway. “So... is this it?” The lady didn’t respond, instead, she opened the door to the gym and gestured them to go inside.

Myeo hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary yet as she walked. She could hear some talking echoing around, but couldn’t pinpoint where they were coming from. All she could think about is how she got where, what was going on, and wanting the pain to stop. Wait... was that... was Aliana behind her? Did she finally decide to come? That gave her a little smile, knowing she wasn’t alone.

“I wouldn’t do it if I were you...” the headmaster had said, out of the blue. He knew what Fredrick was thinking, and knew it wouldn’t go his way. “By the way... I have no clue what happened to your precious knife. I wouldn’t worry about it anyways...” they returned to silence as they walked, but he was aware of Shiiro. He didn’t want her to know that though, so he didn’t do anything

“Everyone is so impatient these days...” the headmaster mumbled under his breath. “Please wait, all I ask is for your patience.” He said to the two. If he had to wait for Myeo and Aliana any longer, he would get them to the gym himself. “If you would like to take a break from asking me questions, you could be kind and go retrieve the others for me. Your questions will be answered once they arrive.

Myeo walked a safe distance away from the woman, unsure if she would be affected by her weird power. She hoped not, but she was still cautious.
