With Sebastian's darker coloring, they'll probably use crushed mother of pearl to mark his skin and scales. That balance of dark and light coloring. You've got the light coloring with your pale skin and golden hair. It is so, so pretty," Lena sighed, happily as she reached up as if to touch Angel's hair. Her coloring respembled a lionfish with strong, sturdy spikes along her back and tail.

Octavius nodded, gathering the woman in his arms like she weighed nothing. "Certainly," Octavius obliged, following after Jay. His thoughts turned to the girls and he prayed to Vera they were okay.

Max nodded. "Go, leave a trail or something for Razz to follow," he told Cassie before leading the girls off. After hearing Magda's request through Andromeda's translation, he darted into a supply room off of the stable. "It isn't used often, but the stable hand keeps one out here in case predators go after the horses.I think we will make better use of it. And I can get him a new one." Handing the gun off to Magda, he made sure she had as many bullets as she may need.

Andromeda shook her head, gently pushing Max towards the horses. "Her power, remember? We just need to saddle the horses. I can ride bareback. Magda, ever ridden a horse?" She asked, looking up at the woman while she undid the door to a mare that had caught her eye. Max was leading Razz out. The horse seemed to sense his masters urgency and hurried out, nickering softly.

"Of course you may. You helped avenge her. I won't deny someone who wants to pay respects to those who have fallen. She would have loved you...humans and their culture fascinated her. She often wished to travel the world. Not the seas, but the land. Had she been born centuries ago, she would have gotten that wish..." she said sadly, repositioning herself so she could braid Angel's hair.

Lena settled in beside the pair, placing her collection of trinkets between them. "I hope you don't mind me helping with this. I figure if the guys are going on the hunt, you'll need some woman to help get you ready. While we are equal, species often preen for each other. Ours is no different. He'll probably come back all fussed up too."

"Then I will show you those so you know what they feel like and can pick them again." Happy to just walk beside Agatha, Sasha relaxed, a smile glowing on her as well. She checked out the sky, then looked to the sea to check on how things looked. "Just some gray clouds and sprinkling, from here out, in my opinion. Ares must have gotten him under control. Thank you, cousin." The last part was said a little louder, Sasha hoping he would hear it.

Max nodding, setting his dad down. He hugged his cousin, brief but firm. "Thank you." Grabbing Cassie's hand, he added, "Let's go get them."

Octavius stayed with Jason. "Not leaving you here without a little back up. They may come back for them or you. You need a heavy hitter. Max has at least Cassie," he said, looking around for any sign of other people.

Andromeda did her best to explain what was going on to Madga. She followed after the worried parents, figuring at least one of the tattoos on her skin would help give them an advantage.

We need to grieve for her...and we will. But right now, Sebastian has been returned. And with him, you. We will celebrate the good and give thanks for it before completing the steps to honor and morn my baby girl. I am sorry for your loss, Angel. Rest easy knowing they are most likely looking down with pride and happiness over you." Lily, Sebastian's mother, unfolded Angel in a hug, shooing the boys off to go,do tbeir thing.

	Sasha took a deep breath, sounding very relieved as she slid her hand into Agathes. "Oh good. So, what should we pick? Anything from this morning? I was planning on getting potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery. Oh! Lettuce too. All of that is used in a variety of dishes so would be good to stock up on. Same with herbs and spices." [Read more]

Max found his parents tied up and knocked out in the library. After checking on their breathing, he untied them. "Can either of you pick up my mother? I don't feel comfortable leaving them here," he said, looking up at the woman.

Andromeda nodded, hurrying forward to pick the slim woman up. "I've got her. Let's go," she said.

Octavius snarled softly, pulling his daggers and throwing out more vibrations in his search.

Sebastian smirked, kissing her nose. Careful what you wish for. I do believe my mother and Lena are taking it upon themselves to teach you. They are probably going to try to dress you up. We aren't big into clothes but shiny things? When in the safety of the reef? Oh, we indulge. And I think Lena just brought over some of her favorites to dress you in.

"Do those living on land truly live such short lives? Ours are strengthened and enhanced do to the sea. But are all of your loved ones truly dying?" Sebastian's mother asked, concerned. "Perhaps we should get her tribe down here quickly! If they can adapt as you are, then we can save them."

"Is...it okay if I hold your hand? Not to lead you or because you need it vut because it is what couples do, I think...I read a few books where they did that and have been curious about it. Not that we have to be a couple right away if that is not what you want. Andromeda hurried after Max and Magda, her mind working overtime to process it all. Meanwhile, Octavius lept after Jay, ready to defend him while keeping his senses open for any vibrations.

Max kept his eyes and ears open, making his way to his parents room. Easing the door open, he found the room empty. Turning, he led the woman following him to the library. His mother would be there if not in her suit. They had taken to sleeping together again. He only hoped they had fallen asleep somewhere in the house. On a whim, he reached out to pray to Vera but got no reply. Something seriously was wrong!

Sebastian smirked, darting back to kiss her deeply. Thank you. I love you. I realize this is kind of sudden and I am leaving you for the moment. But you'll be happy when I get back. The hunt is basically a way of solidifying a mating bond. I believe my mother intends to take you under her fin and be your family for the ceremony. We'll prepare the meal together before eating it. Then we can relax. Sleep, mostly likely. I intend to talk to my father about bringing a group out to meet everyone on land.

The woman smiled, watching the pair. "Seeing you two...I thought I would never see that...I thought I lost them both," she murmured, hugging her husband. Cuda had grabbed some spears while Lena reappeared, her arms full of trinkets, beads, pearls and all sorts of other goodies.

Andromeda slowed, sensing something was off by the demeanour of the others. She moved closer to Magdalene, instinctively protective.

Max nodded, going into military mode. He drew his sword, resting it at his side. "Meet back here," Max replied to Cassie, blending with the shadows. "Something feels wrong, Jay," he tild his cousin, giving him a concerned look before hurrying off to check on his parents.

"Should we go after them?" Octavius asked, automatically sending out vibrations so he could sense what was going on around the house.

Not that dangerous. Way safer then battling Alex. It's a right of passage. Don't worry. Cuda and my dad will be tbere to have my back, should I need it, Sebastian reassured, checking on a couple things. He was glad they were still there. He planned to give them to Angel. Later though. This was the custom of his people. He would preform her custom among her people. He would have asked her on land. But the rings were here.

"Sebastian trusts you. He has every reason not to trust humans, in my opinion, but he loves you, Angel. And you both protect each other. I trust his jugdement. Everything I have observed tells me I was wrong to aim hate at the whole of humanity," his mother said, taking her hand. "The boys will go hunt. I would love to talk with you. And, if you don't mind, braid your hair. Make it easier to swim with."

The soft pitter patter of a sprinkle carried in through the window and archway just outside the kitchen. "Why don't you change out of those wet clothes and I can get our rabbit cooking. Worst case scenario, we have him later. I think it may be good to get some food from outside, restock the pantry and freezer. Just so that if they fight again, and grumpy the angry storm cloud returns, we won't go hungry?" Sasha suggested.

"Magda says she would like to meet your children. And that sleep can be done later. I have to agree! Kids are adorable!" Andromeda said, picking up her speed. "Can we see them first?"

Max chuckled. "They may be asleep. But let's see, shall we?" He asked, unlocking the door and stepping in. A shiver ran down his spine. The feeling that someone had been in his home when he was away flashed over him. That was silly. His parents had watched the girls. He had to just be tired.

Sebastian's father bowed to Angel before taking her hand and kissing the back of her hand. "We lost one daughter. I intend to protect you. You are one of us. You have taken on our fins and vowed to protect one of us. We protect our own. Sebastian, have you hunted for her?"

"Not yet. I intended to. I will also be using her customs. Are my things where I left them? I need to grab something." Sebastian said, flicking his tail to swim over to where he kept his stash of belongings.
