Bari swallowed loudly, his throat dry from walking -or stumbling in some cases- for so long. His arm flared with pain at each and every step he took and he gave a low hiss with each step. His paw hurt, his stomach hurt, his head hurt, Arceus even his twin tails hurt. He was surprised he didn't just break apart and collapse, never to move again, at that very moment. As he made it into the town, he paused for a moment, his body freezing. There was something odd about this town, something that didn't make any sense whatsoever. Though...what was it? The Buizel glanced around, forgetting about his pain and gripes momentarily. His ears were pricked for any noises or movements. But that was the weird thing, he couldn't see or smell anything that was off. There was something that was off about this place though, he just couldn't put his paw on it. Though here he had a choice: would he wander into this town or flee and never look back at this odd place that made his fur ripple? He choose the former. Bari took a step forward ever so slowly, waiting for something to spring out behind somewhere and gobble him up. When nothing did, he took another step, before he suddenly shot forward, rounding around a building, his heart hammering. The orange Pokemon glanced around the tall human-made thing, his eyes flickering here and there, just waiting for anything to show a sign that he had been followed. Nothing. The water type mentally berated himself for being such a scardy-Skitty, there was nothing odd about this place. He was just being jumpy. That was all...yeah. [Read more] |

Literacy// semi-lit/literate, it depends on if I'm able to write a long response or not. Length and Style// I love writing long responses, it's a bad habit of mine. Because of my long replies, I tend to only be able to reply once a day. I almost always write in third person and paragraph style. The thread I'm doing determines whether I use past or present tense. If we're doing a fantasy roleplay, I love making up the religion/gods/customs the people use, before we start actually roleplaying. I love making up the world, before we start, instead of figuring it out as we go along. Also please, please, please, try and have almost no grammatical mistakes, I can't reply to something that I don't understand. Now, of course, we all make silly little mistakes, I get that. But your reply shouldn't be littered with them. Example 1: (warning- a bit long and uses present tense.) ![]() It's always a shock when you realize how easy it is to end a life. Almost nobody thinks of lives being so fragile, until something happens and your whole world is turned upside down. Even literally sometimes. The fact of the matter is that people take for granted what is easily known as "living a life". The hardest part is not dying. A simple mistake and suddenly you're not moving or breathing anymore. Though couldn't that be changed? The dying part, of course. Could there be a way where humans, no matter what is thrown at them, survive everything -bombs, diseases, old age, murder. Could there be a way to end it all? There was one man who thought of it all, who thought up a plan to rid the world of death. Dr. Curtis Edwards was that man. Unfortunately, his experiments proved that only a select few would be able to survive the "change". Though how to separate those whose bodies weren't able to undergo the experimentation? By sorting out the ones with bad genes, of course. Though how? Was there a way to see if a person's body could withstand almost everything stacked against them? The problem was the answer to this might be considered "unethical" to some who didn't understand the want -nay the need- to change the human race for the better. Though, if he could somehow force another town to do this deed, he wouldn't have to lift a finger; no fingers would be pointed at him -why would they be? He's a respected doctor, for goodness sake!- and yet, he could see the results and finally let those lucky few into the light of the new day. The new dawn of the human race. Adrian raises his head to the sky, and lets out a strangled breath. His lungs contracts, as he breathed in dust, and a loud cough echoes down the otherwise quiet city. The bomb had left his city in ransacks -no shocker there:- buildings crumbling down, people looking almost like zombies, and decaying corpses piling up, representing lines to show who owned which part of the city; not like it mattered anymore though. Adrian's family had been the first wave of people to die of the acceleration of age, he was now left alone to fend for himself. Now the seventeen year old was slowly growing older as everyone else had been- last week, he had been a ten year-old. It was so odd to him that he was able to skip multiple years in just a small week, yet he still had the mind of a ten year-old even now. That still makes his head spin. He was slowly learning how to act as an adult, though it just seems like a ruse to him. He just wants somebody to figure out what to do around here; the AI that are still working makes his skin crawl. No matter where he is, he feels like they're somehow able to see everything that anybody is doing. Yet, what could the people do that were still alive? The now "adults" still are teenagers inside and the "teenagers" are young children. Nobody knows what to do. It seems like this town will die sooner rather than later, a large see-through dome was placed around the town a week ago, cutting off all contact from any other city or town nearby -apparently the larger government had decided that they didn't want whatever was happening back here to spread everywhere. It makes sense, yes, even to Adrian, though he still wants his family back. He misses his mother and father, heck, even the death of his bossy older sister still feels like a punch to the gut. He remembers a saying his father always used to say whenever The Comity would show up with a new addition to the AI, "We're soon going to be like sitting ducks if they continue to add more things to those blasted things." Adrian never understood that saying, though right now, it sounds like the perfect saying. "Like sitting ducks." Heh. Example 2: (much shorter and uses past tense) ![]() The year was 3000. Man had inevitably destroyed Earth, though to everyone's amazement, they had not wiped out each other in the wars they had amassed. Man was now searching for a new place to call home. So far, they had been forced to hop from planet to planet, stuck on their spaceships; oxygen was rare for these planets, as alien races had been fighting for longer than man had been alive. In the whole universe, there is now only three hundred types of species alive, counting man; there used to be millions upon millions, though war, planets burning up, and diseases have now slowly dwindled the numbers. In all these years, however, there has been a race alive since the beginning of time, when the world began. They are the first race of species that have survived against every thing that has been thrown at them. Because of this, the race believes that everything is out to get them, quite intelligent really. Unfortunately, this race of species might be killed off, because of a disease they received while traveling to a distant planet to trade with a close by race. That will be the last time they do that. For some reason, the race has found someone that can potentially save their race. Right now, the race, the Chulani, have that person. ------ One of the warriors that had been patrolling in the cells where its crew had captured many prisoners, slowed at one of them. It was a large creature, standing about 6'4, and with its lanky stature and long thin arms propped up like a grasshopper, it looked like an old man from where the prisoner had come from. The humanoid alien's skin seemed to stretch in what could have been a grin, as it stared down at the male human. "How are you feeling, human?" It clicked to the male, its long tongue flicking out of its mouth, tasting the air around the boy, "I do hope you are comfortable." There was no sense of teasing in the alien's voice; it truly sounded like it was worried about the conditions of its prisoner. The alien turned its head, almost like it was worried that it was stepping out of line talking to this human, its bald head gleaming in the fluorescent lights that hung overhead. "You are our most prized prisoner," it said, glancing back at the human, its black and beady eyes seeming to bore its into the male, "we shall do everything in our power to make you more comfortable." Interests/Genre// I usually am able to do a lot of different roleplays, though I mostly like to focus on fantasy, Sci-Fi, adventure, romance, and original roleplays. I am able to do Pokemon (whether it be mystery dungeons or trainer) and Warrior cats, though I'd rather stay away from those two. The one genre I personally feel is my worst, is horror. For some reason, I just can't write good responses for that. Maturity and Romance// I can do mature roleplays, though I tend to lean away from mature romance. I'm all for a bloody roleplay, though I can't go too far with it. Really, it all boils down to I'm OK with mature and romance roleplays to a point. c: Contact// I'm usually on at least an hour every day, so usually the best way to grab me is by PMs. I can do either forum threads or message roleplays, it doesn't really matter to me. Gender: Male Age and or Level: Level 20 Have you been infected by the disease: No, since he has avoided humans and most Pokemon contact, he hasn't run into anyone who has that disease. Though since his need to be caught by a human to seek revenge on a Seviper, he might get infected soon. Species: Buizel Appearance: Bari is smaller than normal Buizel's, though he compensates for that with his loud mouth. His orange fur is a bit darker, as he spends most of his time outside the water and jumping from tree to tree. He has a large scar on his left arm, from a Seviper attack. Personality: Bari is one of those Pokemon who are a pure bred Pokemon and wants everyone to know it. His stuck-up nature can get quite irritating, considering he needs everyone around him to be perfect and fit his need; even to the fact where he will just down right ignore orders from a superiority, if he sees the plan doesn't "work within his range of power". This does not mean he won't show off; if there's an important person around, or there's a female, he will try to look like a tough guy. Though in the end, it just makes him look like a complete idiot. Bari also has a problem with superstition; he believes that if an accessory -whether it be a necklace, item, scarf, or headband- is on him, he will loose every battle. He learned this from his father and mother, who, in his eyes, were the strongest fighters in the world and they didn't need any items on their body. So why should he need one? It seems like a stupid superstition, and it is, though he well and truly believes this; straight down to the fact of not handling any bit of clothing or jewelry, even if it is rare. Despite his ability to act like a complete jerk, Bari is actually a decent Pokemon. Well, not entirely. He does know the idea of humility, but he won't always use it. The Buizel is also quite persistent in what he does; he isn't satisfied until he's accomplished his goals. Though this can also cause some problems; he never really knows when to quit on something, and it can be a bit bothersome if he keeps pushing himself too hard. If he finds another Pokemon who is willing to accept his faults, the other might find he is a diamond in the rough. History: Bari's history isn't a horrible one; he was the only child of two Floatzels, so he got whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. This, in turn, made him think that everything was going to go his way. This included him thinking that a certain would draw out how he believed it to be. As it would happen, Bari was faced up against a Seviper, who was living in a rather luxurious place with a large pond and lush forests. Believing that he was superior in every way, the Buizel managed to enrage the snake-like Pokemon. Using his speed, the Water Type was able to dodge most of the Seviper's attack, and slowly, he became cockier and cockier as the battle drew on. Though a sudden Poison Tail ended his over confidence. With the Buizel stunned for a few moments, the Seviper quickly acted and bit into Bari's arm. Screeching, Bari wrenched his arm out of the Seviper's mouth, but it only worsened the cut. Knowing that this might have been a stupid idea, the Buizel lept into the water, hoping that this at least could help him escape. And so it did; the Seviper's onslaught of Night Slash's onto the water, hoping to at least catch sight of the Water Pokemon, did nothing; there was, of course, close calls, where the Buizel barely managed to spin in time to miss the attack. Finally, the Poison Type gave up, and slithered back to its home, knowing that it had at least warned the Buizel to leave it alone. Bari, hurt, cold, and confused, climbed out of the water, not understanding how this had happened. Didn't his parents tell him that he would have been the strongest Pokemon? There must have been something that had kept him back, but what? It took Bari a while to realize what he needed: more power. Literally and metaphorically; if he was stronger in power, then he would be able to combat with anyone and if he had supporters who would follow his every command, it wouldn't even matter if he wasn't as strong, they could do all the work. Though where was he to be able to get all of this? A Trainer. The Buizel had always seen those weird creatures walking around with other Pokemon in tow, as they made their way through some parts of his territory. Who knows, maybe Bari could find some supporters to get stronger; maybe he could trick them into going along with what he said. RP name: Lucille "Lucy" Deprisco Age: 23 Gender: Female Appearance: Lucy stands at 5'9 and weighs in around 110 lbs. She has a skinny figure, probably from the fact she can't keep money for very long, and her arms and legs are almost spider-like. The artist has light blonde hair that is kept up in a messy bun, which holds some of her paint brushes. She has sprinkles of freckles that dot across underneath her light blue eyes. Lucy has a problem of keeping her knees bruise-free, since she has the ability to ram her knee into nature most of the time. Chosen costume: A light blue kimono with white swirls around the edges, almost like waves -something she crafted together. History: Lucy set out as a Trainer initially, planning to take on the League and all of that good stuff. Her first Pokemon was a Shuckle, whom she had befriended when she was a little girl. The two traveled over three regions: Jhoto, Sinnoh, and Unova. Each region ended in the Trainer's defeat. Unfortunately, during one battle against a Trainer with an Arcanine, her Shuckle was badly wounded. Panicking, despite her Pokemon being able to keep battling, Lucy instantly recalled her best friend and rushed to the Pokemon Center, where she met a Chansey, who was soon to be the last addition to the party members. She begged the Chansey to heal her Shuckle, though the Normal Type could only heal the small burns; Lucy's Bug Type had suffered a fourth degree burn, rendering no movement. As soon as her Shuckle came out of the infirmary, Lucy rushed to the Move Tutor and demanded he remove all physical and special attacks, in return, giving her Pokemon status moves. Other: She has a really bad gambling addiction and when she does something, she goes all out. Username: mationix RP nickname: Anna Level(maximum will be at least 100): 46 Gender: Female Pokemon type: Blissey Wild or a trainer's pokemon: Lucy's Pokemon Shiny: no Appearance: looks like any other Blissey Chosen costume: a nurse's cap she snagged before the two got to the mansion. History: Anna met Lucy when Anna was just a Chansey. Lucy's Shuckle, Ryan, had suffered massive damage during a battle against a fire type. Worried out of her mind, Lucy begged Anna to heal her Shuckle, though the Blissey was only able to heal the burns, the scars and 4th degree burn would always paralyze the Shuckle. Irritated at herself, Anna told Lucy that she would stick by the artist's side until she figured out how to cure Ryan. Unfortunately, Anna never realized that some wounds can never be healed, though Lucy has never brought that to the Blissey's attention.
