Solstice looked up, her eyes wet with tears. Her feathers had all but gone out by now, their light no longer offering her comfort. She was shaking, and she felt like what had come to feel like the vine that connected her to her life force and her powers was slowly thinning. Soon it would snap.

“I-I… my power…” they whimpered, their voice faint in the dark room. That was rare- usually they were confident and loud. Now, however, they felt lost and afraid. Without nature’s light to guide them, where were they to go? “The plants…” they gestured to the potted plants on the desk, “I’ve lost my magic… I can heal others, and I can usually keep plants alive for many years. But… if it’s gone… how will I help others now?” They broke into a sob once more. They felt horrible for making this dragon watch them break down, but she was terrified without her light. Her energy was slowly waning as well. If she was no longer able to draw her energy from plants, she wouldn’t be able to keep herself alive for longer than a week. She managed to pull herself together a bit, sniffling, as she sat awkwardly in her bed.

“Um, sorry for… that… it’s just, if I can’t heal other dragons, what use am I? I don’t have any good battle magic… and I’m awful at combat… that was all I had, and now…” her voice broke. They choked back another sob. This was too much… “You seem like you’re a light dragon also,” they murmured, their voice almost a whisper. Her tone was soft, her voice like a gentle breeze- light and airy, though it was missing its usual cheerful light. “I suppose your magic has been stolen too?” She glanced at the dragon in front of her. It was nearly too dark to see, the dragon’s candles doing little to help with the light. Fortunately, Solstice’s eyes were very good, and they could just make out a few details. “Do you have any idea what caused this?”

Halu woke up to an ear-splitting sound of glass shattering. He had just gotten himself to fall asleep after the long day, and now he woke up again, his ears ringing. He winced against the terrible noise and decided to get out of bed. Something felt… off. He had to find out what. Quietly slithering out of bed, he noticed that the others in his dorm had been awoken as well. It was frustrating, to say the least. There was an absence of something inside him, like something had broken with the sound and now he was missing one of his pieces. He had rarely ever tried this before, but he closed his eyes and tried to summon a storm on purpose. He had to test his theory. He concentrated and willed his inner thoughts into the air, trying to cause the clouds to form and the rain to fall, but when he opened his eyes, nothing happened. There was no storm, no sound of rain echoing against the roof. He was right. He knew he should have been concerned or at least a little scared that his powers were gone, but he felt a surge of joy overtake him in the moment. He was free. No more storms. No more accidents.

Then a realization struck him. If his storm power was gone… did that mean his power over water was gone as well? If he could no longer swim in the water, to breathe and take in its depths… he didn’t know what he would do. He could live without the storms, but without his home? He began to tremble. If this really was true, if he could no longer breathe and live underwater, where would he live? He couldn’t live on the ground forever. He loved the water. Where would he be without it? Panic began seeping into his brain, jumbling his thoughts. What was going to happen to him now that his powers had disappeared? He had to find out why they were gone. Maybe he could fix it.

Solstice felt a jolt and she shot upright in bed. It took her a moment to realize what had woken her up. A huge, shattering crash rang in her ears and she flinched, only just registering the sound. It was strangely dark in the dorm. Usually, Solstice’s light dimmed at night but it was still visible. Now, however, it was like someone had turned off the lights entirely. They weren’t emitting any sort of light, and they felt something still within them, like… Solstice glanced at the plants on the desk beside their bed, just barely visible in the darkness. They were dead. Solstice stared at them in shock. The plants she had been keeping alive for years were dead. No, this couldn’t be happening, it was impossible! Then that meant…

Solstice began to cry. They couldn’t help it. They didn’t care if all the other dragons in their dorm could hear them. If their plants couldn’t be kept alive by them anymore, did that mean their healing powers were gone? How could they help people now? If she couldn’t save them… she wouldn’t be able to live with herself. Her light was gone. Her magic was dying. What was going on??

Friend. The word sent flashes of thoughts and memories spiraling into Halu’s mind. Terrible memories he’d tried to forget. But as he sat there, talking with Illusionist, the word felt right, like it had finally found a place where it fit. Halu felt himself coming to trust Illusionist, and he allowed a genuine smile to grace his features as he lifted a claw to reach for his plate.

“You’re right, it would be a waste to leave such perfectly good food behind. I do appreciate the thought. I have nearly immaculate hearing, and to my sensitive ears such crowds become unbearable. I’ve come to learn slightly how to gain better control of it, but I’m not sure what happened today.” Now that Halu had seemingly calmed down, he was able to talk more freely of what had happened. His voice had stopped shaking and now felt like the perfect voice for a library- soft, quiet, and with a deep rumble. “We could possibly go back to the cafeteria, though it’s most likely not the best idea. I suppose we can simply eat here for now.”

Halu appreciated Illusionist’s silent company as the two entered the library. As the door shut behind them, suddenly the silence was almost louder than the cafeteria. It was perfect. Halu found a secluded area between two rather large bookshelves and curled around himself in a manner that looked strange to most but felt comfortable to him. He glanced up at Illusionist and managed a smile. “I thank you for your company… I can’t imagine it’s easy to see me like this. I apologize for dragging you into all of this, please don’t feel obligated to stay.” Now that there was complete and utter silence, the still air only being broken by Halu’s voice as he spoke, he could feel himself calming down. The rain was painfully obvious against such a quiet room, but it had slowed to a thin sprinkle now.

It felt like the noisy, crowded area of the dining cave was a whole other world now. Even Halu’s sharp ears couldn’t pick up any noise from outside the library. Perhaps the walls were soundproof- that would make sense, given that it’s a library. No matter the case, Halu’s nerves began to calm, and his stomach began to settle. His breathing straightened out, and he sighed. “Say, do you think we’re allowed to bring food in here?” He asked, half-jokingly. There didn’t appear to be any teachers around that could tell them off for breaking any rules, but it felt like a fair question to ask either way.

Halu accepted the tray of food gratefully, though he didn’t have much of an appetite now. His stomach was churning and his mind felt frayed, like he’d tried to be in two places at once. He felt soothed by Illusionist’s soft tone, the concern in his voice both reassuring Halu and doubling his feelings about whether or not he should make a real friend. He felt bad being so weak in front of him- this was obviously not something any dragon would be prepared for, especially ones as young as them, but Halu appreciated the help. “Yeah… we could go back to the library.”

His voice shook slightly, and though he had stopped trembling, he was still breathing quickly. He didn’t offer any explanation to the storm or any further details on his mood, though he figured Illusionist could only guess what had caused the rain. He slowly uncurled his tail, trying not to show his uneasiness, and started off towards the library. He took his plate with him, because even if he wasn’t going to finish the food, it would be rude to leave it for someone else to clean up.

Halu could feel the rising storm inside him matching the clouds darkening the sky high above. He heard his name being called behind him and jerked to a stop, spinning around. Just rounding the corner was Illusionist, holding both their plates of food. Halu hadn’t noticed how heavily he was panting in the noise of the cafeteria, but now the sound echoed off the walls. It was quiet in the halls, but he could still hear the rising chatter of the dining cave from beyond the corner. He felt himself trembling, and his eyes had dimmed from the fear of his storm. He stood there, waiting for Illusionist to catch up as he tried to steady his breathing.

He wondered what had caused him to become so overwhelmed like that. Maybe it was all the stress from the first day… he had to get better control of himself. He would have to learn to get used to such crowds. The idea of spending any more time in that crowded cafeteria made his stomach churn, though, so he stayed put, slowly calming down. He still couldn’t shake his lingering nervousness, though. Something was going to go wrong, he could feel it in the air. Then, with a jolt, Halu’s ears picked up the faint pitter-patter of rain against the roof of the school. His tail curled into a spiral at the sound, the rain gradually picking up until it was audible to both dragons in the hallway. He had to make it stop. It couldn’t happen again… not this soon… could it?

Halu spotted Illusionist sitting down not too far away, and he waved politely. He was nearly done with his food by now, though the amount of dragons eating bugs made him queasy. He was just about to go walk over to Illusionist to talk more, when suddenly the noise inside the cafeteria became overwhelming. It was like someone had flipped a switch in his brain, and now his ears picked up every single voice individually, instead of as a whole, and tried to listen to each one at once. It made his ears hurt and his head spin, every conversation overlapping and swirling together like a bubbling stew. The cacophony of noise was too much for him, and in a rush he stood up and left, leaving his unfinished plate of food behind him. In a matter of moments, his dark tail disappeared from view at the entrance to the cafeteria as he nearly ran out. He couldn’t see outside, but he could feel the storm clouds gathering. He had to find somewhere quiet before they spilled.

Halu didn’t mind the bugs, he actually found some of them fascinating, but he hated the idea of eating them. So, he told Illusionist, “I’ll meet back up with you at the table,” and split off from him to search for the fish. He was an omnivore, and his main diet consisted entirely of seafood, so he headed for that section instead. He grabbed his favorite kinds of fish, as well as some of the sushi options, and went back to find a seat and wait for Illusionist.

The sheer amount of dragons made him uneasy, and the constant chatter made his ears hurt. He decided to simply start eating so he could finish sooner and leave this crowded place. He usually didn’t mind talking to other dragons, or other dragons talking to him, but he was going to have to get used to all the other dragons at this school that would fill the hallways and gather in large groups constantly. Halu was fine with only having one or two dragons that he usually talked to, but in this sea of dragons he felt uncomfortable. He sighed and started eating his food. It would prove useless to him to continue to worry about these things, but he couldn’t get it out of his head.

Solstice headed straight for the plant section, choosing her favorites that reminded her of her home. Soon her plate was covered in a salad-like assortment of herbs and berries, and she took that with her to find someplace to sit, grinning happily. She found a spot near a larger group of dragons and began introducing herself, chatting happily away and almost radiating light from her positive attitude. Soon, the entire table was talking loudly with each other, and Solstice smiled with the light of success dancing in her eyes.

Halu nodded and followed after Illusionist, his expression calm, but he was silently glad that this dragon was so willing to spend time with him. It was pleasing to know that some dragons out there were kind enough to want to get to know him. Maybe he could really make a friend this time… Halu shook his head, trying to rid himself of the thought. Friends meant connections, connections meant he cared, and if he cared and something happened again… he couldn’t risk it. He had promised himself, never again. And yet, the thought of not becoming friends with this new dragon left him feeling empty, or incomplete, as if he’d lost a piece of himself he couldn’t replace. He hadn’t realized until now just how much he’d been needing a new friend, but now that that dragon was right in front of him, he found himself terrified at the prospect of it.

Solstice perked up, lifting her head above the desk she had chosen in the library as the announcement sounded. She closed her book, set it in her pack strapped to her waist, and stood up, stretching. She had spent the whole rest of the day reading her favorite book, and her legs were stiff from sitting for so long. Her spot in the library had been secluded enough that they had been able to focus properly on their book, but they could still hear dragons on the far side chatting with each other. Now, though, it was time for dinner. They hadn’t been able to meet many new dragons so far, but maybe this was a chance to make some new friends.

Padding out of the library, Solstice opened her scroll and studied the map, soon finding where she was supposed to go, though it was easy enough to follow the thinning crowd already headed down to the cafeteria. She decided to just follow them, and she hurried after the dragons, trying to contain her excitement. A first day at a new school, with so many new friends to make! She was confident she would be able to help many dragons here. Maybe they’d even get to improve their healing magic! They had heard it was rare for a dragon to be able to heal- maybe they just spent their life around the wrong dragons. Almost giddy with delight at the idea of being able to talk to so many new dragons, she hastened down the hall, beaming brightly as she entered the cafeteria with all the other dragons.

Character name:
Lost Soul (goes by Solstice)
Gender:
Genderfluid, currently goes by she/they pronouns.
Element:
Life (light+plant)
Appearance:

Personality:
The most outgoing dragon you will ever meet. She absolutely loves others, and will ask many, many questions to get to know you. Talkative and helpful, Solstice puts good in the world simply because it's fun. They would give everything they've got to help someone else, which becomes a bit of a problem when she starts caring for other people more than she cares for herself and gets caught up in a detrimental feeling of hopelessness. In order to escape from reality, she often buries herself in books, and she's read everything there is to read about dragons, dragon species, plants, animals, and plenty more. There's nothing they love more than to sit down with a good book, and for all their life they've studied and learned and read more than any other dragon their age.
Abilities:
Nature's Blessing
This allows Solstice to heal her comrades, using the force of life and nature to heal wounds. The bigger/worse the wound, the longer it takes to heal, and the more energy it requires. They cannot heal a fatal wound, it doesn't work with poison/anything internal, and it saps their energy the more they use it, requiring rest before they can use it again. This ability uses her own life force to heal others, and if she doesn't take the time to recharge herself she could end up actually dying or seriously injuring herself if she's not careful. This ability can also be used by utilizing the life force of plants to heal Solstice if she expends too much energy.
Lifeline
This is sort of a last resort move, and it's incredibly powerful, but that comes at a large cost. If someone she knows is on the brink of death, or if there's an emergency situation and things are spiraling out of control, this ability allows them to put their life on the line to help another. They expel an extremely large amount of energy in a burst of powder-like light particles that envelop whoever is in danger, and it gives them just enough energy to recover/survive. This ability cannot bring anyone back from the dead, but it can heal almost anything else. However, it comes at a costly price. After it is used, Solstice's energy will be entirely drained and they will not be able to help any further. She will have to find a place to heal herself, but if they have already used too much of Nature's Blessing and then use this move, it is possible that they will not survive. They have to be careful with whom they help and how much they help them. Unfortunately, that is is a skill that she has not yet mastered.
Solar Beam
A basic attack move that allows her to harness solar energy and turn it into a beam to attack others. Rarely used since she is absolutely terrified of hurting others, but she was forced to learn it for self-defense.
Palpad?:
Mhm!
Password:

Solstice can look directly into the sun without it hurting her eyes, and she feels most at home surrounded by other life forms (such as animals/pets, other dragons, and plants). She keeps, like, a dozen potted plants with her at all times. Their wings have the ability to photosynthesize (they're probably made out of leaves, too), and she's an herbivore.

Halu had spent a long while talking with Illusionist, and it felt like no time at all had passed before the announcement sounded across the library. The sound startled him at first and he jumped slightly, but he quickly regained his composure. "Would you like to walk down to dinner with me?" He offered, still not convinced he wouldn't get lost on the way. He had his map now, but he was terrible with directions, especially in the sky. He preferred water over land, though if he flew it might be easier. Besides, he could use the company. His parents had fretted so much about him making friends at the school it was almost embarrassing.

Soon, the quiet began to get on Halu's nerves, which was strange. He usually loved his peace and quiet. This quiet felt different somehow, like something should be happening, but it wasn't. He felt like something was going to happen soon, and it made him anxious. Again. For like the third time that day.

He took a deep breath. Maybe a break would be good. Perhaps the library would be a nice place to relax, maybe read a new book. Hopefully that would give him a more peaceful quiet, instead of this silent stillness that made it feel like the air was just waiting to explode. It was probably nothing, but Halu couldn't get around the feeling, so he stood up, having already finished unpacking, and slithered out of bed with a stretch. He grabbed his map and located the library before heading out the door, figuring he could get there faster if he flew, so he did. He took to the air, arcing high into the ceiling before swooping lower and flying gracefully towards the library.

When he arrived, he noticed that many dragons had apparently had the same idea as him. He took one step inside, saw the amount of dragons studying or chatting, and immediately began rethinking his decision. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to go to the library on technically the first day of school. Of course there would be many dragons here- he scolded himself for thinking it would just be quiet. He was just about to leave again and find some other place to read when he spotted someone a little ways inside. It was Illusionist, the dragon who had spoken to him at the ceremony. He had wanted to meet them again sometime- he just hadn't thought it would be so soon. He didn't want to go over and talk to them, but he did want to get to know them better, so he fully entered the library and made his way over, carefully avoiding the group of dragons chatting away.

He approached Illusionist slowly, a little nervous, though he did his best not to show it. "Hey, there," he started, trying for a friendly smile. It came out as more of a grimace. "Illusionist, was it? Funny seeing you again. What are you doing here?"

Halu had said a quick thank you to Illusionist’s compliment, but they hadn’t had much time to talk before the ceremony started. He had listened carefully, every word reaching his ears perfectly. The news of the crystal made a new anxiety form in his mind, but he tried to push past it. There was no use worrying about things like that. He couldn’t risk another storm. Once the ceremony ended and dragons started filing out of the cave to get back to their dorms, Halu winced against the rising chatter that became nearly unbearable to his sensitive ears. Instead of waiting out the crowd like he normally did, he felt the strong urge to get out as quick as he could and try to find his dorm again. He had received a map now, and he figured he could find it if he really really tried. Hopefully he wouldn’t get lost again.

Grabbing his luggage from the ground, he nodded goodbye to Illusionist, hoping secretly that he would get another chance to get to know them better, and then he slipped into the crowd, keeping his head low and ignoring the weird glances and faint whispers as he weaved about them, his eyes unblinking as he navigated the crowd. Eventually breaking off from all the dragons, he took a hall that he thought would take him to the dorms, and much to his surprise, it did. He looked for the one labeled ‘Sapphire Dorm’. He found it quickly and stepped inside, the stillness of the place very welcome to Halu. He was astonished at how large and beautiful the dorm was, and though it seemed empty, it was perfect. There were plenty of places to hide among the shadows, and he found a particular bed that seemed unclaimed and was out of the way enough that he wouldn’t be bothered. He set his luggage down and settled onto the bed, exhausted after the long morning. The day was barely even halfway over and Halu already felt like falling asleep. Hopefully the whole year wasn’t this draining- he had no idea how he would make it.

Halu blinked. A dragon. Coming up to him. Willingly. And unafraid? He almost recoiled deeper into the shadows- it would have been easy enough given his dark coloring, but he stopped himself. This was what he had been waiting for, was it not? He couldn’t let this opportunity go to waste- he finally had the chance to talk to someone, and they only seemed kind-hearted to him. He allowed himself the tiniest of smiles for comfort’s sake, the beautiful song fading into the background as he spoke, “Hello there. My name is Halu, he/him pronouns please, and you?”

His voice was deep and soft, and had a melancholy echo to it, like the quiet after a storm. He rarely raised his voice, and his usual volume wasn’t nearly loud enough to reach the other dragon’s ears (his hearing gave him no problem at all in hearing the other dragon, but the skill gave him quite the headache in crowds like this), and he had to stretch his head out from his curl around the seat to allow his voice to reach their ears. In doing so, he revealed more of the deep purple and stormy scales that glistened even under dim light, as if they were constantly damp.

Then Halu heard it. The most beautiful sound that had ever reached his ears. He lifted his head and heard something he thought he had left behind forever… as he listened to the music, memories of his home and his sea came flooding back to him, filling him with longing. Yet the song also brought a sort of bittersweet closure to him, for no matter how far away he was, he was reminded that the ocean would never sway, even under the most brutal of weather. That calmed him down a little bit, and he visibly relaxed, uncurling his tail to show it.

He decided he should unclip his luggage so he could sit more comfortably, for he had no idea how long they would be here, and in mere moments he had his bags on the ground right by his seat, leaving his torso free and un-cramped. Stretching out long, he then curled himself around the seat like a snake, his head just peeking out of the shadows, his glowing eyes casting faint eerie light around him.

As the song continued, he let out a long sigh, releasing the whole day’s stress in a big breath. Fortunately, today had not ended in a storm. He saw many other dragons mingling and chatting, only filling the Hall with more noise, but Halu tried to only focus on the music that was being sung. It gave him peace, and it helped him drown out the building ruckus of the many dragons sitting around, waiting to start.

Suddenly, Halu heard a voice from out of nowhere. He jumped, startled, which was unlike him. He hated being this lost, and retracing his steps had not worked in the slightest. Now, he was supposed to go to some ‘Great Hall’ for a ceremony, and he didn’t even know where he was. Just then, a rush of noise came from down the hall as dragons began flooding the walkways as they headed towards what must be the Great Hall. Halu couldn’t see them, but he could hear them just fine, and it made his ears hurt from here. He dreaded the thought of a large ceremony with all the dragons- he still hadn’t had a chance to put his luggage away, either- but for the sake of no longer being lost, he begrudgingly followed the noise.

Halu trailed behind the large crowd, arriving arguably late to the ceremony, even if it hadn’t quite started yet. The number of dragons everywhere was astonishing, the sheer size of the Hall even more breathtaking, but the noise grew so tumultuous that Halu had to resist the urge to wrap his tail around his ears. Trying not to get anxious from all the dragons and their clamor, he found a seat a little off to the side and settled there, uncomfortably twisting himself around the luggage he never dropped off at the dorm he never found. Once again, he began melting into the shadows, but his eyes glowed brightly under the cave light.

Halu sighed. It was hopeless. There were no dragons in sight anymore, no one to ask for directions, and he still didn't even know which dorm he was supposed to go to. Maybe he shouldn't have rushed ahead of everyone just to see the school... now he was lost, confused, and a little afraid. The giant school was daunting, and he had no idea which direction to go next. He decided to just retrace his steps and look for his dorm, his luggage making soft clinking noises on the floor, which sounded ten times louder in the wide empty hall.

He half wished he could just find someone already, maybe another dragon would miraculously appear out of one of the branching hallways that seemed to go on forever. A companion might make being hopelessly lost at least a little more fun. On the other hand, though, Halu was absolutely terrified of approaching someone. He had been to his share of schools in the past, and he knew that making friends was difficult, especially for him. He didn't see many other dragons that looked like him outside of his family, and he assumed all the other dragons hadn't either. He was also pretty unapproachable due to his usual mood and startling eyes. His tendency to blend into the shadows made it difficult for people to come and talk to him, and he absolutely hated going up to others, so he didn't make many friends.

Halu groaned out loud, coming to a stop in the middle of yet another hallway. It was deathly quiet, and the sound echoed around the walls. There was no point in thinking about this. He was going to be alone for most of this school anyways, so it wouldn't matter in the end. He would only tear himself up from the inside. He could worry about all of that later- for now he needed to find his dorm. His claws were about to fall off, and he really didn't want to fly indoors again. He felt like he was going deeper and deeper into the building, which made him uneasy, and the farther he went, the worse it got. He had tried to turn back, but he had only gotten even more turned around and confused. This never would have happened if he were going to an underwater school. He wished with all his heart he could just swim away, but this school was floating in the sky, hundreds of feet above sea level. He tried to keep himself calm- he didn't want to cause another storm. He decided to turn back and trace his steps again, his uneasiness growing as he looked for a way out.

Well. That was it. He was lost.

Halu glanced around hurriedly. There were dragons all around him, and he could barely see a few feet ahead of him. He had thought that going deeper into the school might allow him to escape the ruckus, but he had been proven wrong by the sheer number of dragons that seemed to come from absolutely nowhere. It was starting to get a little scary- Halu's long, winding body was curled up like a spring so his tail wouldn't be stepped on as he was jostled about by the crowd trying to get from here to there. His luggage was strapped to his torso so it wouldn't fall off, but now that only hindered his movements more as he tried to make a break for it. The noise and the clamoring became too much and he shot up in the air, overwhelmed. Suddenly, he was looking down at a bunch of startled faces, and he grew hot with embarrassment.

It was no use coming back down now, though- he could finally see where he was going. Trying to ignore the chatter that rose from below, he flew along the ceiling, searching for somewhere he could escape from all the dragons. Halu didn't consider himself a particularly lonesome dragon, but he hated large crowds, and as he flew down the halls with incredible swiftness he began to see the crowd thinning out. He moved with such grace in the air it was almost like he was swimming, and though he preferred actual swimming to flying, this was a good way to get around. Once he saw an opening that was quiet enough to land, Halu spiraled back down to the ground and landed with a soft thud.

Glancing around at his surroundings, Halu could barely see any dragons around now. He breathed a sigh of relief as his ears gradually stopped ringing from the chaos of the prior halls. As he studied the walls around him even more, Halu realized with a start that he had flown all the way to the dorms. He had no idea if they were even the right dorms, though, and he was still very, very lost.

Appearance:

Personality:
Halu is quiet but always ready to help. He never backs down from a challenge, but his eyes freak many others out and make him difficult to approach. Despite his eyes, he can see very well, and he has a heightened sense of hearing from all his time spent underwater. He loves nothing more than to zip through the depths of the water and spook others who may be lurking nearby. He often blends into the shadows and goes unnoticed, but he loves helping people and is very kind to those who take the time to get to know him. He is often underestimated, however, and some people take his friendship for granted. He is easily hurt and does not take kindly to betrayal, and if needed he can exact the perfect revenge on those who have wronged him. While he is not one to enjoy violence, he will not let an act of indecency go unpunished. He does his best to remain neutral, and most people leave him alone so he doesn't usually need to go to such extents.
Abilities:
Ocean's Blessing
He can breathe underwater and in high altitudes. This also allows him to use his rain to give him a boost during a battle. It's more of a natural ability than a physical power, and all it really does is allow him to support others if he needs to.

Storm Summons
He can create storms with his magic, summoning wind and rain to use mostly as a cloak in battle. It allows him to hide among the clouds and dodge his opponent, while also being able to get closer. It's usually very effective, unless the one he's fighting against has an element that negates water or wind attacks, and with him not usually liking to attack specifically it's a perfect move for him.

Aqua Wave
Usually, this ability would be very strong. It allows the user to summon a large wave of water to attack their foes. However, Halu does no like to fight and has had little use for this, so he has not honed it as much as he could have. Therefore, it is not his strongest ability and he doesn't use it often.

Other:
Halu's favorite place is underwater. He also enjoys dousing other people with it if he can. He's incredibly maneuverable and feels most at home when he is surrounded by water. (He certainly has more water abilities than air) Also, if Halu is feeling an intense emotion such as rage, fear, or joy, he might not be able to control his storm and it could get out of hand. This is why he tends not to get attached to others- he fears he might lose control again.

Courage stumbled, nearly falling down the rest of the cliff, but they caught themself just in time. The sight of the sun setting on the horizon gave them equal hope and dread. They knew this place got a lot worse at night, and they didn't want any more trouble for everyone else. They had already almost gotten themself killed multiple times due to dangerous curiosity and impulsivity. They stood, catching their breath, after a long day of walking. They lowered themself the rest of the way down the cliff face, dropping with a thud near Banana. They winced as their leg buckled from the impact, as they had already injured it earlier, and now blossoms of pain began to spread like fire up their shins.
