Instead of thinking it as a prompt, or idea, the contest quite literally asks you to make a drawing with 1 of those characters as them. If you were to draw,, say- Iron-man, would you call it a day after drawing a medieval suit of armour? Same for this situation, you can draw the character however you want, but it must be that character Perhaps you can draw the character running, jumping, spinning, but you must use that character. That character isn't a prompt, it is the item you will draw. Using another example, if you wanted to draw an apple, it wouldn't be satisfactory to draw a pear. hmm I guess I'd say to envision their torso more of an upside down triangle, apply that for sketching and I think that'd help. Also I guess try to thicken out the limbs I guess- [Read more] |

I also really like the red toned lighting, adds warmth to the piece ! and omg those icons are amazing-- @twin also there is a line on one of the hind legs that go outside the boundary Otherwise though, seriously amazing as always, both of the character's anatomy are super on point, and I always love how consistent the colours are on each piece ! @blue Oh hey that's pretty neat ! While form a design perspective, you could've incorporated the helmet of the escavalier just a tad better, maybe by having it go down a bit lower, but from just art I think it's really well done ! @alexia Personally I think the front legs of the charmander(one that crosses over) looks a bit weird, I think it's because the spine is bent at an angle that looks a bit umcomfortable. But otherwise I really love those designs ! You've got the cat anatomy down really well, for the cat pieces as well. @liliac Good job, what a cute doggo ! Although my critiques are the same as Myamoo's @Aki I hope you feel better and wow that art is amazing, your amazing cursive writing is like a cherry on a cake as well ! @DRAGONS ARE JUST LARGE LIZARDS HAH GIT REKT //DABS INVOLUNTARILY Oh my gosh that looks amazingly intimidating ! although poor thing has part of it's lower jaw cut off :^((((( and also that design woah its so detailed and nice and good ! @flutter Okay so wow, I must say that you have improved an AMAZING amount since the last time I remember you posting here I really like the lighting on the firs tone, and the second is just all around nicely done !! @Argentis Those are really good !! I especially love the colour scheme for everyone of them, they fit with the Halloween theme and danng it just looks great ! My only critique is well-- not really a critique but more of a tip-- it's better to not draw from straight angles(like the metagross and luxray) since it looks i guess-- bland as compared to the same drawing in a diff angle, even tilting the angle just a bit adds more interest to it. @Zucker I agree with meme, I believe the reason it looking strange is because the other folded fingers are too small compared to the index finger. At that angle, you shouldn't be able to see the area of where the thumb connects(not attaches) to the index finger. Either that or that area is too large, but either way you shouldn't be able to see that. Another thing is, there should be a little bit of a bump for knuckles on top of the fingers(folded ones). @Incredibly_Sane_Dragon_Lady Holy hecco-- that jaw though-- @lizz How you've drawn the folds on that dress is something truly to behold !! I also seriously love the blue tones in her hair- @Zorua dannggg those lines are done so cleanly and smoothly : 0000 @Nevvo I'm gonna take a guess that they're a clown?(Just because of like the mouth area) : ) I really like it as well, but I do agree w/ furr about the crown thing tho. I also think the wings looks a bit too 'smooth', I think it's be better if the shading went under the feathers as well, if you know what i mean -i'm not good at explaining things haha @BanetteXD That purple tone in the whole thing is really nicee-- And yeah I'd agree, they do look good in everything @arti Woah I like the hair highlights Although the sheer striaghtness of the eyes seem a bit-- weird i guess. @Liliac Cool, although the lines just seem a bit messy.
