In almost an instant, Marshal’s family was pushed away and he was shoved onto the train. He was in an empty car, The smell of food lured him towards a different train car. He entered the car with everyone else, and got an enormous amount of food. He sat down across from Derek and the others and started to eat. The whole time he stared at the ground, he was pis#ed to say the least.

Hailey was in the train car with everyone else, but she had turned invisible. Her social skills were horrible, and to be precise she had never really had friends. She stood next to Derek, until the train hit a bump. She bumped into him and shrieked, she stayed invisible and backed up. She didn’t know what to do.

Finn was asleep in the train car with everyone else, he sat near Marshal.

Finn was taken into the gray room, and he sat in the chair. He crossed his legs and leaned back, starting to take a nap. He doubted anyone would come to visit.

Marshal was visited by his family, after an exchange of hugs and tears they left. He sighed and looked at his suit. It was encrusted with fine gems. His family decorated the suit for him, he hated it. The only reason that they were able to make such an expensive suit was from his power.

Finn sighed as his name was called, Everyone in district 13 turned and looked at him. He slowly started to walk up
to the stage, pushing people out of the way. “What a pain.” He said while standing on the stage waiting. Some of the people in district 13 were actually relived that he got picked, they thought he was a freak because of his strange abilities and his gas mask. Hailey got picked next, and walked up to the stage, she had turned invisible out of embarrassment, and revealed herself when they got on stage.

Marshal and his family waited in the crowd of district 12, Their district was actually a lot bigger then most, and they could barely see the stage. But it didn’t take long for Marshal’s little brother to be picked. His little brother started bawling as the peacekeepers started to drag him away. Marshal looked down and bit his lip, the screams of his little brother leaving were horrible. They were so bad that he couldn’t take it anymore. “I’ll take the brats place. I volunteer as tribute!” He yelled with a groan. The peacekeepers released his brother and he ran back and jumped onto Marshal, “Thank you big bro” he cried. “Get the hell off me! Thank me when I get back!” He said while going to the stage. Even though he was wearing fancy clothes, you could tell that he was pretty beat up. He had many bandages covering his faces, and smears of dirt from working in the mines.

Finn changed into his normal clothes, a tuxedo with a loose tie and unbuttoned jacket. He slipped his hands into his pocket and left his house. He could already see the crowd of people forming near the center of the town. “What a pain.” He said. His gas mask was on.

Marshal was about to wrestle with his little brother before his dad slammed through the door. “Enough! Get ready for the reaping! This isn’t a time for games.” He said while slamming the door. Marshal cursed and started getting dressed up.

Hailey Scott had already gathered in the town square of district 13, and waited.

Finn had just ended his night shift in the nuclear power plant, and headed home. He made his way into the shack that he called a house and took a shower. The reaping was starting soon, and he didn’t like the idea of going into the hunger games.

Marshal awoke to the sounds of his dad coming in from his night job and going to bed. He jolted up and hit his head on the ceiling, he hated being top bunk. His brother laughed from the bottom bunk, “You think that’s funny squirt?” He growled while jumping down.
