	Thanks for answering that SilverStar! I didn't know if that was a glitch or if new players are offered to all registered Mentors. That'c cool. Sad that they drop off but better that than linger on a list if they aren't going to be active :/ Do you know if they were to come back within the 2 months if they would come back to the mentor's lists? One thing I noticed today as that the first two people on my list have dropped off. Neither has been on since they registered and none have responded to the initial PM :/

Has anyone else lost players from their list?

I am really pleased with all the ideas floating around and would love some input from staff if possible.

One interesting thing has happened. I got a notification of a new player but when I clicked on it I got a message to the effect that the offer no longer existed for that person or another mentor agreed to help them. Not seen that before.

Anyone else seen anything different today?

	_TBV_ asked me earlier what we won and I have no clue. The wording of it would lead you to assume there will be a gift/reward somewhere along the way. We also wondered if we mentors would get a special tag like mods have either as we gain levels or after a certain level. Interesting idea. [Read more]

	Cool ~ Thank you for the clarification on that. it is much appreciated C: Krimes and I were just chatting and another thing that came up is that PMs can be very difficult to access and use on a mobile phone. Also, if you click on it, rad it and change pages it is hard to find again under all the tabs. This is surely a case where PP is much easier to use than PMs. [Read more]

@Klepto ~ Good idea.

From my post about task 1 issues, -Max said:

"What triggers more tasks?
After you receive at least one reply on the welcoming/first message, you'll get more task to get more Mentor Points. Also I'd like to point out that in order to the points to go up on the conversation task, they would need to keep answering! If you spam them with message, it won't go up."

So if they answered the second message but not the first it would not count unfortunately :/

@ Klepto ~ lol I had no idea what to put! I think I should probably reword it then if it's coming across as too formal :P

@Leapy ~ that is a great point! Our PM could be seen as an auto-generated message rather than a personal greeting. Do you think a message coming a while later would help and not seem so predatory?

@PrincessGreenie - I love the idea that to respond to the PM as part of the Tutorial that teaches them how to connect with other users. Just because an envelope pops up on the top they might not have a clue what to do with it. It is rough that we get what feels like a "grade" (an F in this case) and them not responding feels like a big fail :/ even though we have no control over it.

@Klepto - good point. It could feel a tad creepy having a stranger contact you moments after registering. Only having 10 minutes to get the PM out is a wee harsh I think. Minimum of an hour maybe? Within 12 hours for full points.

I would be curious how people are wording their introduction letters? Especially those who are actually getting responses lol

Here is what mine says:

"Hi there,

Welcome to PokeHeroes!

I have been on PH for some time now so quite familiar with the site. There is a tutorial to get you going but if you have any questions along the way or once you get done with that, please feel free to respond to this message. No questions are too silly. We all had to figure it out.

I live in the PST - Pacific Standard Time - which is 8 hours behind PH time - so if I don't get to your message right away, that is why.

Hope you have a great time!"

PokeHeroes came up with a Newbie Mentoring Program to help new players feel welcome and supported. This was implemented September 3rd, 2018.

I thought it would be a good idea to have a support post for those who are mentors. Share ideas and bring to light any bugs, errors, or trouble spots.

Since it started I've had 5 offers to mentor a new player and I accepted all of them.

Some questions I've had are:
- How many can you have?
- What triggers a task?

-Max was kind enough to share that there is no limit to the number you can have and triggers stem from the newbie answering the initial welcome PM. The more tasks you complete the more points you can earn.

From what has been shared with me by another user, the program steps look like this:

Communicate with your newbie via PM 1/6
Send your newbie a plushie 1 / 1
Newbie completes tutorial 1 / 5
Newbie reaches Trainer level 5 5 / 5
Newbie reaches Trainer level 10 8 / 8
Newbie reaches Trainer level 15 0 / 10

How are you all doing with your new players?
Do you have any questions for other Mentors?
If we could get questions answered by a Mod, what questions would you ask ~~pertaining to the Mentoring Program of course~~?

I received my first newbie and proceeded to the mentor program page that gave me task 1 to send them a PM so I did.

A short time later I received notification of another newbie. I accepted and knowing that step 1 was send a PM I sent it before going to the MP page where it had not registered the first PM I sent so had to send another.

Is this worth noting?

Also, I have more questions about this new program - how many newbies can you get (I've only had the 2), what happens if the get to a point in the tutorial and leave does that affect others tasks (both newbies have not been on since their day of registering), what triggers more tasks? - I've not seen a FAQ for this yet but would love to know more about it.

Regardless of how many people you have on your friend list, it can be difficult to follow everyone. Not everyone posts but are still active. Knowing there is a limit, having filters to work out who is active or who is locked would be VERY helpful. I try to clean my list out every few months but it is SO time consuming going to each profile to see when they were last active. Having a filter to show at a glance is hugely helpful.

There is a shiny Dialga in AH and I am trying SO hard to get it for RAS. It would be SO amazing!!!

To top it all off Primal Dialga event started today. To say our home is filled with glee is an understatement! I've not seen her this excited about something in a very very long time.

SO many friends are helping me with this dream come true either with item or PD donations. It is so touching to see how many people are so generous in helping this happen. My heart sings ♥♥

	@Darknut - these are brand new as of last reset so there is not set price for them. Until there are more on site the price will be quite high. As the week progresses the price will drop and when they come back in 3 weeks chances are they will be difficult to give away such as happens with anything new on here.
