Kieran took a good look at Darreon. He was certain he'd never seen a monster like this before, so he didn't know the name... but he remembered the details for later, so he could recognise another. He looked dragon like, but he was a humanoid too. Bony spike wings protruded from his shoulders like branches on a tree. Kieran liked predicting the outcome of scenarios, as it tested his knowledge, logic, and sense. He reckoned that Melody would probably not back down and just bombard Darreon with questions, based off of the bold, extroverted personality Kieran thought she had.

Melody was right about the town being somewhat bland, but at least now Kieran could get his daily fix of excitement in. He watched intently as Darreon shuffled over to the other side of the roof. He made a mental bet that Melody wouldn't let it go, though.

Kieran had startled many a monster by just popping up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Feeling a little guilty about it, he shyly tip toed over to the chimney and curled up, pretending he was just some raccoon doing whatever it is that raccoons did. Sometimes it was better that other monsters didn't know he was a werecreature as well. Besides, this meant he could listen in on the music and conversation without appearing too awkward. Hopefully no one would suspect anything...

Kieran heard the familiar soulful strumming of a guitar. With nothing better to do, he made his way up to the source: the rooftop. It was at least a little useful to be part raccoon-dog, the only climbing canine, if Kieran's memory served right. At last, he found Darreon, the musician... except this time, he was in his monster form. Kieran sat calmly on the other side of the rooftop, his little claws digging into the wooden tiles like knives, and he listened to the music.

Lazily, Kieran stumbled out of the woods, stuffed from all of the delicious berries he'd eaten. The forest was a great place to find food if you knew where to look, as shown by the shade of purple that tinged his muzzle. He tried to get home, stealthily padding through the town, as if he were a spy. Most people who saw him usually just mistook him for a regular old raccoon or a canine of some sort, but he liked to be cautious.

Kieran wandered into the woods. Everything looked so much bigger when he was a one foot tall canine, and it seemed almost as if he was in an ethereal city. He could hear the rustling of rodents going about their days, and in the distance, a faint rush of water. Stopping to munch on some berries, he observed Princeton from the bushes.

This sort of fighting and talking is exactly why Kieran chose to hide his raccoon dog ears. He sighed, and finished his apple while strutting home, where he promptly transformed into his raccoon dog form to relax

"I know already, you've been talking louder than a lion's roar" He snapped, before shaking his head. Hunger always made him salty. "Sorry about that, I'm just tired." He took out a snack from his bag: an apple. he always kept some sort of food in his bag just in case. He munched while examining the strange collection of humans and monsters,

Kieran headed home after his interaction with Melody, raccoon dog ears folded back calmly. On his way, he passed a group of... more unfamilliar people? More investigation had to be done! He took a sip from his water bottle as he listened to the conversation from quite a distance away. One of them was an ent, he heard... he could confirm that by the scent.

Ah, it was the... Kieran actually wasn't quite sure what sort of monster he was, but his scent gave that fact away to Kieran. Kieran had seen him busking around town a few times, and considered talking to him, only to always continue on his trek to wherever he was going. If Kieran had been more extroverted, he would have gone back to say hello. He turned to face Melody again, and shifted from foot to foot, waiting for an answer.

"So, why did your family choose to come to this place?" He gestured towards the gloomy looking town, half joking and half asking. He always asked this question, or found out the answer through other means. Kieran thought it was important to know if someone was a threat, and if they weren't, like in this case, Kieran was naturally curious.

There was a fair chance that Melody was just an excited and curious person. Kieran mentally scolded himself about his defensiveness. It was a useful trait to have, but friendliness was one too, he supposed. "It's fine here, I guess. I think theres enough stuff to do, but you might find things.... a little lacklustre," He searched for the correct word.

Kieran's ears folded back further. By this point, they were practically invisible. "Hmm?" He whipped around, a little defensively. "Oh, I'm Kieran." 'No need to talk so loud,' he muttered. "And you?" He'd learned to be careful around strangers. Not everyone was friendly, and some had bad reasons for doing things.

A small family... interesting. Were they here to stay? Judging by the looks of the luggage, his guess was correct. The girl shouted something about exploring, and his canine ears folded back further into his hair from the harsh noise, making them even less visible. He winced. That was just one of many disadvantages of being a were-raccoon dog, or were anything for that matter. He'd rather just be a human or an animal, no need in complicating things by being both. He trudged back home, payment tucked securely in his pocket.

Kieran finished off tidying up the garden of a lady's house. He was comfortable doing this job; she'd been more friendly than most when he appeared in town. If she'd seen his ears, she hadn't said anything. Kieran had learned that most humans couldn't spot the difference between a monster and another one of their kind, but he liked to be safe with his hoodie. He collected his payment with a grateful nod, and slinked out the door like a fox, which wasn't far from what he was. As he headed towards his little house, an unfamiliar scent reached his nose. "Huh...." There was a car he'd never seen a little ways down the road. Kieran switched his direction mid step, but stayed off to the side. It wasn't every day the town of Princeville had visitors. He chose to investigate.

Fortem and Audax got the same thing. "This isn't Heaven Berry lemonade," Fortem remarked. "Or maybe it is, but they added something..." He took a hearty sip. Either way, it was still super good! Audax took small, delicate sips of his lemonade, enjoying the flavour.

"Want something to eat or drink?" Fortem offered the others. Swimming around had made him a little peckish. Audax grinned shyly. "If that's fine with you, then yes, please." His drenched ears hung limply beside his face, and he shook his head to dry them slightly. "Dibs on paying in advance," Fortem smiled at Emerald mischievously, as if he'd just made a joke.

"Whoa!" Audax's ears flew behind him as they zipped down the slide. Their tube spun, turning him backwards for a moment, and he tensed his muscles. Luckily, it was for nothing, as a few moments later, the trio splashed down at the end of the ride. Audax found himself laughing and panting, along with Fortem.

After splashing around in the pool for a bit, one of the bigger slides caught Fortem's eye. It seemed to involve inflatable tubes that were meant for 4, but he thought 3 would suffice. Still, it looked a little scary.... Fortem wanted to try anyway, to combat his fear. He'd been through worse, right? "If you're up to it... do you guys want to try that slide?" He hesitantly lifted a claw, like a weight was strapped to it. After an awkward few seconds, Audax made up his mind, and nodded with a grin. He was a little nervous too, but if he was with Emerald and Fortem, things would hopefully go fine.
