Thiria stopped before a cell as the Warden of Metal raised her hand towards the lock reluctantly. She paused the timeflow for a few minutes, deperately hoping that was all she needed. Raising her hand towards the prisoner, she focused on the dark pond she saw. Again searching for Raeyn's distinctive aura of darkness, she focused on a single memory.

She gasped at the sight. A potion that powerful...was it even possible?

'Thiria, focus on the voices. They will tell you what you seek,' a voice rang out in her head. Matt, she realized, before closing her eyes.

'She saved my life. I should repay the favour,' a voice rang out. It was free of malice and filled with sincerity. Thiria smiled wistfully. When was the last time something like that was said to her?

She released the connection, letting her hand fall. She nodded towards Leise, who was still frozen in time. Thiria checked her reserves. Ful-what? She could've sworn they would be half, or less. Then, she realized her hand was closed in a fist.

As she opened it, she gasped slightly. The pocket watch lay nestled in her palm, ticking away merrily. She smiled slightly, realizing who was behind it. As the first Warden of Time, Matt could influence his conduit to a certain extent.

She let time flow normally again, nodding towards Leise again as she slipped the chain of the pocket watch over her neck and under her clothes, where the cool metal soothed her skin.

The Warden of Metal looked towards Thiria. "Is she?"

Thiria shook her head. "She merely wanted to repay a debt of hers. For now, she can be released, but trust...should not be given freely. I sense darkness around her, like Raeyn's, but not exactly the same. Darkness is as dangerous as Time. It would be best to release her near the battlefield."

The Warden nodded, before clenching her fist. Metal rose out of the ground wrapping around the seemingly sleeping girl, who blinked slightly.

A growl sounded in Thiria's throat. She did have sincerity in her, but her trust was hard to gain. She added her powers to Leise's, keeping the white-haired girl in a state of suspended animation.

Leise looked surprised, but made a pushing motion with her other hand. The bars slowly rumbled into the ground, then back up again as Leise levitated the cage into the hallway.

Together, the cage and the two Wardens came out near the battlefield. Leise released the constraints of metal, watching as Thiria released the state of suspended animation.

Thiria gazed at the form of the girl one last time, before turning around, intending to head to the infirmary to check up on Raeyn when a voice forced her to pause in her tracks.

Thiria rose from her seat, feeling the eyes of the other Wardens and Chosen on her. Sighing mentally, she strode out of the pavilion and away from the others. Honestly, with the way they were all behaving, one would think they didn't want her around. Oh, who was she trying to kid? Of course they didn't want her around!

She continued on her path, her eyes scanning the rows of houses. She supposed there were the residences of the ones she left behind at the pavilion. Briefly, she wondered whether there was one for her. She shook her head. After their behaviour towards her in the pavilion, she highly doubted they would allow it to remain standing.

Suddenly, she rammed into a person, or, more specifically, a person rammed directly into her. "What's going on?" she asked, wincing inwardly. Her tone of voice was sharper than she would have wanted.

Her look was enough to intimidate the other Warden to blurt out the answer, “Ms Wilmist has ordered the release of one of the prisoners!”

That got Thiria’s attention on two matters: One, Raeyn was not dead, and awake. Two, she had ordered the release of a prisoner.

From what she had gathered, the prisoners were some of the more dangerous ones in the universe. Why would Raeyn order the release of one?

“Which one?” Thiria asked.

This time the Warden was less compliant to reply, so Thiria sighed. Luckily, her reserves had returned to normal and she could try to use her newly gained powers without trying to hurt herself.

She concentrated, skimming the surface of the Warden’s past. To her mind, the past of someone was a pond; the surface what had just transpired and the bottom, their almost forgotten memories.

She searched for the signature that always radiated from Raeyn, deciding that was most likely the quickest way to locate the conversation. She didn’t have to look very far as the conversation replayed itself before her. Her eyes narrowed. It was true that the girl had saved her, but she could have had an ulterior motive.

Thiria pulled herself out of the memories, noting that this time, it was slightly easier than the first time she attempted it. She closed her eyes briefly, noting the power she had left. Half-drained. She would need to conserve that power.

She met the Warden’s eyes. “You do realise the prisoner could not be as kind as she seemed, right?”

“H-how did you-”

“Call it insight. Do you realise that or not?”

“Y-yes."

"Good. I'm coming with you," Thiria said firmly, her tone not leaving any room for argument.

The contest has ended, with only one entrant. 'Tis a sad thing, is it not?

Anyway, Omnia is the default winner ~~though I probably would have awarded it to her anyway, the story is amazing~~.
