Hayden put his hands in his lap and nodded, "Indeed. There are two people who stand out to me Fulminare from District 2 and Finn from district 13." he explained. "They both got incredibly high scores in the recent test, and i'm not exactly sure what either of their powers are." he went on. "I can only guess that Fulminare is highly trained in combat, but Finn is a wild card. You don't really hear about District 13 very much" he said.

Anxiety filled Hailey as she waited backstage for the interviews to start. She was anything but thrilled to be speaking in front of thousands of people. She waited nervously and scratched her arm. Her dress glimmered in the small light available.

Finn stood in line, Waiting. His suit was the same colors as before, so it didn't change too much. He couldn't really care less.

Hayden was almost bouncing off the wall from excitement, the interview sounded amazing. His bowtie almost came off his suit.

Marshal leaned against the wall in line, he wasn't very happy with what his mentor did. His mentor had ripped all of his band-aids off and then put makeup over his scars. As well as tidying up his hair. He felt embarassed, but he did like his suit.

After a long day of grooming and practice, Hayden sat down and ate dinner with some fellow career’s. He was going to be going for a charming approach.

Hailey had worked with some mentors, and she planned to try and be cute for the audience. She liked the idea but also disliked even the thought of having an audience.

Marshal didn’t want a part at all in being trained by a former victor, but he endured it. He basically didn’t have a choice, because the man was so stern. He taught him how to talk in front of an audience and how to use body language. He also made Marshal dress up, and comb his hair.

Finn made his mentor mad, because he straight up ignored him and fell asleep. The mentor just gave up.

	Finn cocked his head, he walked closer and looked at Shiloh. A response didn’t come from him, but instead the hallway and whole area seemed to clear of the smoke. He then continued walking, as if he hadn’t heard Shiloh. He wasn’t trying to be rude, but he never really gets along with people. [Read more]

Marshal scanned the tv until he found his score. “A seven. Not too bad” he said while yawning. He was about to take a nap.

Hailey looked at the tv, “A six?” She said in confusion. She barely did anything, and was surprised at the score. “I’ll take it I guess” she said while smiling.

Hayden smiles, his score was good enough for him. “Yes!” He said while he got pats on the back by his fellow career’s. Most of them were in the lobby watching the tv.

Finn walked through the halls of the hotel, he didn’t exactly care about his score so he didn’t watch the tv. He turned a corner and saw Shiloh and Derek down the hall. Weird he thought while walking their way. He eyed Shiloh as he was close to passing them, although it wasn’t obvious through his mask.

Marshal entered the room, and he walked towards the simulation room. He didn’t even wait for them to tell him to go. He selected the hardest difficulty, and the opponents had swords. He selected start and after dodging multiple attacks, he spun around and grabbed the enemies heads, and exploded them. For his last one he held his finger out and shot a small ball of light, it exploded on impact and the simulation was done. He heard chatter among the judges as he left. “Alright, The next Tribute is Hailey Scott, District 13” the gamemaster called out.

Hailey entered and she was shaking out of fear, Which didn’t make a good impression on the judges. After she showed off what she could do, which wasn’t much she stepped out of the room. The judges weren’t impressed. “The next tribute is Finn Ushu, District 13” they called.

After a minute or two, Finn entered the room. He scratched his neck and put his hands in his pocket. “What a pain” he said as he sat down in the middle of the floor. After a few minutes went by, the gamemaster was not amused. “Do you think this is a game? What’re you doing?!” She asked angrily. Finn sighed and pointed behind her, to the judges. They had all fallen asleep, or were on the brink of it. He also pointed to the dummy’s across the room. They had melted to a pile of sludge. He had used Laughing gas for the judges to fall asleep, and a highly concentrated Mustard gas on the dummies. He stood up and started to walk out, he waved a hand as he left. The gamemaster was shocked, “T-the next tribute is (insert name. I’m not sure)” she called out. Finn coughed when he left.

Hayden nodded, He made his way to the wall with the weapons and grabbed a bow and arrow, as well as a small dagger. He then entered the small room with a simulation, he turned it to max difficulty. His eyes dilated as he pressed the start button, almost immediately he was being attacked from every angle. He used his knife to knock out the first few enemies, and then pulled back his bow. He jumped backwards and scanned his surroundings. Then, he saw it. “There.” He let the arrow fly off the string, it hit the wall and bounced off skewering all 5 enemies in the head. He had gotten the angle just right, as well as the timing. For the last part, he caught the arrow, just centimeters away from going through his head. He bowed, and started to exit the room.

	Hayden was taken by surprise to hear his voice over the intercom. He was actually still eating lunch, he stuffed his face and then made his way to where he was called. Marshal inched up in line until it was his turn. He kicked his feet on the ground and then jumped. Two explosions came off of his feet and pushed him in the air until he landed on the other side. He was actually going to do the test, but got the idea to do this instead from Aurora. The career’s gave him a nasty stare.

Finn sighed, he was up next. He jumped to the first rung and climbed across slowly. He jumped off and landed on the other side. He scratched his neck as he passed the Career’s, they didn’t seem to impressed, or mad.

Hayden swung across with ease, and did a bow when he landed. He high fived one of the other career’s. He didn’t look down upon any tributes, or put himself higher. But they just treated him like a buddy and he did back.

Hailey was frightened at the thought of climbing, she jumped up and slowly made her way across. At about halfway, she lost her grip and fell. She hit her back pretty hard, and got the wind knocked out of her. Other then that she was fine, she turned invisible from embarrassment. She could hear the career’s laughing.

Marshal had used his time to spar with a professional, hand to hand combat. After many failures and knock downs, Marshal was able to beat the professional. Although it was only because the professional slipped up and missed a kick. Marshal sighed a breath of relief as he fell to the floor, exhausted.

Hailey gasped as she saw Derek fall to the ground. The sight of blood made her nauseous, but she ran over and kneeled down. “Derek?!” She asked while assessing his wounds. “Someone help!” She said.

Hayden entered the training room, he noticed a few people as he approached the weapon rack. He grabbed a quiver of arrows and a bow. “These should work” he said as he went into the simulation room. He had them simulate enemies approaching, his eyes dilated fully and in a few seconds he hit all the targets in the head, he even hit targets behind him. In result to him using his eyes like that, he was nearly blind, but that was only temporary. He stepped out of the simulation and used eye drops.

Marshal had entered the room and watched Hayden, ’I could do better, he thought with a grin.

Finn quietly sat by himself, he had filled his plate up with rice and eggs. He managed to slide the spoon under his mask.

Hailey walked around the dining room, looking for a seat. She had turned invisible so all that was left of her was a floating plate. She shyly walked around.

Marshal stuffed his plate high, getting all the food he could. He tried to balance it as he looked for a seat, he found an empty seat in the corner of the room. He sat down and started to stuff his face.

Finn entered his room and ripped his fancy suit off, he took a hot shower and plopped onto his bed. “What a pain. That took forever” he griped while putting his hands behind his head. Tomorrow surely wasn’t going to be better.

Marshal sat outside on the deck of his room, the breeze ruffled his hair. He missed his family, and his home. He had taken off his outfit and started to doze off.

Hailey had fallen asleep as soon as she got to her room, same with Hayden.

Marshal took a deep breath, and lifted his hands up. He remembered something his family told him, he needed to make a good impression on the audience so he could hopefully get sponsors. From his hands, they lit up, and his suit started to glow. The light from his hands were small explosions, and they made light reflect off the gems on his suit. He became a spectacle of colors and he could hear the audience reacting. ‘[i]Hopefully this works[/i’ he thought. He was kinda embarrassed.

Finn watched the show of small lights, and stretched. He let out a small amount of non-toxic gas and it started to react with his suit. His suit started to glow a blood red, he cracked his neck and put his hands back in his jacket. He could see a bit of the audience being intrigued, that was hopefully enough.

Marshal was put into the room with his stylist, and she was actually quite nice. He had calmed down a bit, but still made a fuss whenever she did something he didn’t like. After many struggles with makeup and getting a suit on, he was done. His suit consisted of many different gems from the mine in his hometown. He made his way into district 12’s chariot and waited. He believed there was a woman named Keris who should be joining him. He was curious what she was like.

After many of the stylists fingers were broken, And almost an arm because they tried to take off his mask, They were able to get Finn into a suit. The suit was pretty plain, but it was embedded with a chemical that would react with Finn’s gas to make him glow an eerie shade of red. The gas that Finn would use was invisible to the human eye, so it wouldn’t affect the other people. Finn entered the Chariot and stuck his hands in his jacket. “This is annoying” he said to himself.

Hailey worked with a particularly nice stylist, who curled her hair and had some great makeup skills. He put lots of colored eyeshadow on her face, so it would work with her dress. She nervously entered the chariot and stood next to Finn. She looked away, because she was scared of him.

Hayden complied with the stylist, and then walked out. He didn’t really care much for looks, so his suit really wasn’t anything special. His suit was black with blue roses on it. He entered the chariot for district 2.

“Tch, wimp” he said to try and tempt Derek. He turned back around and sat down, crossing his legs. He leaned his head on his arm.

Hailey rubbed his shoulder one more time, “Just ignore him” she said while covering up her face with her other hand.

Finn sighed, “Just when things were about to get interesting” he said quietly to himself while he closed his eyes to rest again.
