The more he looked around, the cozier this place seemed to be. It didn’t have much going for it, but it at least seemed like a safe place to be. Lost in his thoughts, he continued walking past the door that had been assigned to him, only to notice it seconds later. He let out a quiet groan before turning around and stood in front of it. He gently slid the key into the slot, about to turn it before hearing talking. Like many times before, his curiosity got the best of him. All he could pick up was something about letting someone vent to them, followed by another voice rambling on about his family. He had to assume it was Kendall, due to the mention of a mother who expected too much of him and an older brother who they wanted back on their side. But he could only wonder who the other voice belonged to... Before he could put much thought into it, Kendall said something that caught his attention. “... I bring him back we can be a family again...” So... That was his goal...? Well, it made sense. Letting out a sigh, he shrugged off the conversation he had eavesdropped on and entered his room.

So this place was a hotel, in a sense anyways. After seeing the behavior of everyone else here, having a room on the same floor seemed like a bad idea. If anyone decided they were pissed off at someone, they could just cause a ruckus and make the situation even worse. No, he was just being paranoid. One other thing he had a problem with was that he was the most underprepared out of all of them. He didn’t bring anything for his stay here, and he was still in old ripped jeans and an oversized shirt. The attire would’ve been fitting for any other circumstance at a place like this... Well, he just had to get over it. He had no further business being down here any longer, so he got up and headed up to the rooms to find his key. It wasn’t all that hard considering how many people were here. After looking at the room number, he put the key ring around his finger and began to search for the room number corresponding to the one on his key.

So it was really that easy, wasn’t it. He could just get up and walk out the door, then pretend this never happened and go on with his life. So why did he hesitate? He already knew the answer to that... He hesitated because he wanted to be here, he wanted to be a part of it. He could’ve easily walked away when he saw the girl walk in this room but he didn’t. A small sigh left his mouth, but nothing else was said. He continued to sit unmoved in his chair, waiting for further details

After the whole cliche “you’re a hero, you can save the world together” speech, a feeling of worry washed over him. So she really believed that everyone here could do something about the current situation... If they fail that belief will crumble, only to be rebuilt with disappointment. Even if those words encouraged them, wouldn’t some sort of pressure linger in their thoughts? Was that the point? Even so, Geo felt none of it. Besides, even if he had no other choice he wouldn’t be much use to the group. The fear and insecurities he felt now wouldn’t be the last of it. Oh what was he doing, overthinking something that could probably be easily avoided. Without another thought, he slightly raised his hand. “Excuse me, sorry to interrupt but... I’m not exactly sure I’m even supposed to be here, may I be excused?”

So Kayleigh is her name... Depending on how the situation goes, he might have to remember that. As the interaction went on, his discomfort and nervousness grew little by little. A sip of water every now and then helped to temporarily calm his nerves, but it didn’t last forever. Within a minute his glass was empty, and all that remained was the small chunks of ice that had been put in the water. The door had opened and closed again, even though it seemed like something had already started. Then again, he heard someone mention that there was more on the way, more that they were waiting for. He sighed, only to perk up once he heard his name. The event momentarily frightened him, as he hadn’t told anyone here his name. Ignoring those thoughts, his mouth instinctively spoke as a reply to hearing his name. “Yes ma’am?”

He gave a slight nod to Barron as a thanks for the glass, then raised it up to his mouth and began to drink it. He didn’t realize how thirsty he was... Guess that’s what an entire day of working does to you. He set the glass down and decided to listen in on the loud visitor and the bartender’s conversation. They seemed to know each other very well, seeing as how they talked to each other so casually. The sound of the door closing caught his attention, causing him to turn his head towards the sound. Wait... there was no one there? Did someone leave? No, everyone seemed to still be here. He didn’t hear any footsteps outside either. What the hell? Did that mean... Oh no... What did he get himself into? The water he had drank previously somehow turned sour in his throat, causing him to nearly gag. Now it was an entire play for him, having to keep up an act, moving with everyone else to make the show seem more natural... Hiding his discomfort, he looked towards the older lady that had appeared on the scene. She was apparently one of the other visitor’s mother, which surprised him a bit. Why would a drinking man’s mother come here, wouldn’t that be a bit awkward? Unexpectedly, no one seemed very fazed about her appearance, leading Geo to think she was someone who came her often or someone with authority...

Well... Now he was pretty much locked into being here, like a small part of the story in an rpg. You usually aren’t able to leave until you’ve completed certain conditions, and his conditions were to reply to the bartender’s question. At the moment, that seemed to be a problem due to them interacting with another visitor. Immediately after said visitor entered the room, everything seemed to be louder and dramatic, like somehow their presence and voice alone could start a party. Quite an interesting group of people here... He turned his head to investigate the bar, hoping to find confirmation in whether this place was safe. The more he looked around, the more he realized this place didn’t fit the “bar” description, it seemed more like a hotel... Well, a building is a building, doesn’t matter as long as you do something with it. He turned his head to face the bartender once again, thinking on the question that was asked. “I’ll take a water please.” He gave a smile as he spoke.

It was that time again, the feeling of relief knowing that the day was almost over washed over Geo as he finished his last task. The plan was to finish up and walk on home and relax for the rest of the day, but it never really went that way. He always got sidetracked on the way home or notice something he missed, then be too tired to do anything else. Today didn’t seem like one of those days so far, though. This time everything seemed to be done and it was all done a bit earlier than he was expecting. He grabbed his things and walked out of the door, then proceeded to walk home. He came to a sudden stop when he noticed a strange, humanoid cat walk into a building. From the outside it didn’t look like much, just a random building placed in the middle of the area. His curiosity got the best of him and he began to follow the cat-like person into the door. The sight inside made him think he had just walked in on a private meeting, immediately making him regret his decision.
