Tayla quickly snaps out of her shock. She should've expected something like this to happen, but she had to admit, the second day was a bit early. "Everyone take cover!" Tayla shouts. She grabs Akane and Faith's arms since they were closest to her and throws herself down on the floor, dragging them down with her. After that, she kicks a nearby table towards them for them to hide under.

"Stay here!" She demands. "We can't risk checking on the others. We'll just have to hope that they'll know what to do." She is careful to keep both Akane and Faith within arms reach, just in case they decide to bolt and check on their partner.

Both girls were silent for a moment, each filled with their own grief. They both had lost someone they loved. Their loved one died so that many others could continue living. Both were killed by the black-eyed girl.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that. I know the pain you are experiencing." Gwen tells Irida softly. Misery loved company... Gwen recounts her own tale of losing Dylan. How he acted like a traitor to save them. How he ultimately died by fighting Talla to the death. Irida silently listens, her own tears drying up as a sympathetic look crosses onto her face.

When Gwen is done, both girl's glance at eachother, seemingly having a silent conversation with eachother. At that moment, they realized that they were more in common than they thought. Irida places a hand on Gwen's shoulder. "It's time for us to let go of the past. We must appreciate our time with them when they were alive and honor their deaths. It's time we move on... Together" Irida smirks, as if amused at the idea of working with Gwen as equals. "We'll continue living and fighting just as they would want and finally bring this war to an end!" Gwen returns the smile, thinking the same thing as Irida. At that moment, they were no longer allies, they were arguably friends.

"Now-" Irida drops her hand and wipes her face one last time, her smile disappearing when she drops her hand. "Let's return to the others, we still have a lot of work to do! We'll have to work extra hard to make up for this lost time!" Irida orders while marching ahead of Gwen.

"Irida's back" Gwen whispers to herself with an amused smile while following her back over to Winters.

Her eyes shift between Natalie and the creature. She still didn't trust it, but for now, she would accept it's presence. She would have to keep an eye on them. Her eyes settle on Natalie now. She releases a hand off her crossbow, allowing it to hang on her back. "You two should get some rest. You were up all night right? Your lack of sleep will catch up to you at some point and this isn't the place for that to happen."

After a tense moment, Tayla slowly lowers her crossbow, pointing it at the floor. She straightens up her back so that she can see over Faith's crouched body. "What are they?" Tayla asks. Her eyes narrow at the creatures. "I don't trust this one bit, are you sure they're safe?" She asks while hooking the crossbow onto a her homemade baldric.

During Tayla's shift, she had not noticed these small creatures. So one could imagine her surprise when she took notice to the odd creatures. Tayla moves slowly, never once taking her eyes off these creatures, she holds a hand up towards them and searches for her weapon with her free hand.

She raises the crossbow up at the creatures, flicking it between the pair, as if prepared for one to attack. "Natalie? Faith?" She calls. "Can you two come here for a second?" She keeps her voice calm, as to not escalate the situation and not draw further attention towards the possibly dangerous creatures.

"Nice job" Tayla praises as both Natalie and Faith return with a large amount of food between the two of them. She was quite impressed with the work that their alliance had done. I wonder how long this will last? Tayla wonders as she glances up at the sky. Were the Gamemakers watching them? Were they waiting for any opportunity to turn the group against each other? Tayla would have to keep an eye out for any tricks the Gamemakers could have up their sleeves.

Bree Wilson

~"Wishing is a form of inspiration for the lazy mind but taking action, persisting and finding alternative routes to your destination against all odds is the definition of a successful" (-Oscar Bimpong)~

Gender: Female

Tanji: The Domberdem

Age: 18

Personality: Bree was born blind, but she doesn't let that get to her. Bree is incredibly tough. She'd die before admitting weakness to an opponent. She isn't afraid to bad-mouth an enemy, despite her obvious disadvantage if a fight occured. Even with her tough attitude, Bree is kind-hearted, she will protect her allies with her life.

Appearance: Her normal attire is a simple shirt and jeans. She doesn't care much about looking fashionable. She has a habit of wearing boots since she never knows what type of terrain she'll be treading in. She has short blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes. Bree is short, standing at about 5'3, fortunately her boots give her an extra two inches of height.

Backstory: Bree was born into a loving home. Her father wanted to keep Bree sheltered, while her mother wanted Bree to explore the world. She takes most after her tough mother, who taught her how to survive on her own. But, a piece of her kind-hearted father lives in her, who taught her how to be warm and caring towards others.

Pet: A pale German Shepherd named Fallon.

Weapons: Longsword and hidden dagger (hidden inside her boot)

Strength: One always says... When one sense is lost, the others become stronger. Bree is able to sense things around her. For example, she could sense if she were about to walk into a tree. These senses aren't lost for other people. Bree can't see, but she can see the world through her senses.

Weakness: Bree is obviously susceptible to far ranged attacks. Even with her stronger "senses" she also has trouble in hand to hand combat. The odds do even out a bit when she has her brutal companion by her side.

Password: Dark chocolate

"It all started on that horrid battle..." Irida explains. A young girl stands in the middle of a battlefield. She looked vaguely like Irida. But something was different about her... She points a finger at the Cloaks grouped ahead. "Now!" She screams out. Multiple catapults launch around her. The ground shakes from their sheer power and might as multiple rocks are sent crashing down upon the invading army.

"I'm not forcing you. If you don't want to talk, then you don't need to" Gwen tells Irida. "We're doing it! We're actually doing it! We may actually win this battle!" Irida shouts while turning to look at Kolby. "It's all thanks to you and your command" Kolby responds happily. He glances at her for only a second before facing back towards the fight.

"No, you're right, I need to do this" Irida responds sharply. Next to Irida, one of the catapults was dripping with oil, which is unknown to Irida. She stares forward at the fighting ahead. Gasping when she spots a nightmarish sight in the distance. "Warmachines! Take cover!" She cries out while leaping to the side to hide behind the nearest catapult just as arrows rain down upon them. The arrows had broken through the catapults, making them useless. Realizing this, Irida's men leave the catapults behind to rush into battle. Irida sneaks a peek at Kolby, but he wasn't looking at her, instead, he was looking at an archer in the distance.

"I have to do this" Irida repeats, much more softly now. The archer dips an arrow into the flame from her lamp and fires it at Irida. It hits Irida's catapult, the structure almost immediately goes up into flames. "Irida!" Kolby shouts while tackling her away from the burning catapult. His quick thinking ensured that she wouldn't die a nasty death, but she didn't get out of it unscathed. "Irida!" Kolby shouts again, staring at down Irida, horrified to see her in so much pain. Her teeth were clenched together, one eye opened to show off her agonized expression. The other half of her face was covered by a bloody hand. "No, Irida, no, please" Kolby whimpers. "Everything will be okay, I promise everything-"

"He was brave. Always have been..." Irida continues. "He was also a fighter, a fighter until the very end..." Fear fills Irida's eye as chilling laughter can be heard from behind Kolby. "Now, now, what do we have here?" A voice asks. Kolby turns around to face their attacker. With his body no longer blocking the view, Irida can now see who had approached them.

"It was the black-eyed girl," Irida reveals. "You..." Kolby growls, while slowly standing up to face her. "You leave us alone! Leave all of us alone!" He demands. His thoughts were illogical, driven by anger and she was not impressed. "Kolby tried to take a stand." Irida sucks in a pained breath, the memory was quickly becoming too much to bear. "Move away boy, I'm not here for you" the girl had not taken her eyes off Irida, in fact, she didn't even seem the slightest bit intimidated by him. "Kolby tried to save me, in fact, his sacrifice saved countless lives. I know now that we would've never won that battle." Kolby turns to look at Irida, at first he looked terrified, then... calm. As if he suddenly knew what he must do and had accepted it. "Retreat with the troops" Kolby demands. "I'm not leaving you!" Irida shouts. "Retreat. With. The. Troops!" Kolby repeats with much more force. "Now!" Irida opens her mouth to speak, but closes it when she meets his gaze. There was no arguing with him. "Somebody needs to make sure that you survive," Kolby explains while pulling out his sword. He stands in front of her, blocking both girl's view of eachother. It gives Irida time to slowly stand up onto her feet. She looks at Kolby before turning to leave him. "Our people need a leader, you are the best fit. It's been an honor serving you as both a soldier and a friend." Kolby's voice drifts into the air behind her, his words drive a dagger through her heart. "Hang tight! I'll come back for you!" She promises. The chilling laughter returns, "You foolish boy" the girl says as she draws out her own sword. "I'll enjoy killing both of you." Irida winces, she turns around one last time only to see Kolby and the girl launched into a sword fight. For a moment, she considers helping, until she moves an eye over to the battle ahead. Kolby was right, they needed to retreat.

"Kolby fought hard" tears were now streaming down Irida's face. "Retreat! Come on! We need to move!" Irida shouts as she races towards the nearest men. It doesn't take long for the other survivors to notice her actions and follow her pursuit. Her and her army race off. The whole time, Irida had been praying to whatever God was out there that Kolby was somehow still alive.

"But in the end..." The Cloaks didn't bother chasing the retreating army. They soon left the battlefield behind, leaving Kestrian to deal with the bodies. Irida was barely bandaged up before she went back out to search the battlefield for Kolby. She quickly spots the burnt down catapult and races towards it. Tears streamed down her face as a familiar black-haired boy lay next to it. His sword lay fallen, next to his body. His hand was slightly outstretched towards it, as if he tried to grab it but stopped himself. He lay facing Kestrian, undoubtedly wanting to see for himself that they made it out of the battlefield alive. She races towards the body, clutching it and screaming into the sky. She begged for it to not be true. But no matter what, the outcome had never changed. "...That black-eyed girl had won."

"I'll help in anyway I can" Tayla responds while standing up and grabbing a crossbow, which was one of the few weapons that Akane and Jeremy managed to grab. A crossbow was probably the best weapon for her to have. It was like a gun, easy to fire and aim with. Although loading it could be pretty tricky to anyone who wasn't use to using them. Another benefit was that they were silent. The main downside to using a crossbow over a gun was the fact that she would only be able to fire off one shot before she'd have to go through the slow process of reloading it.

Honestly, Tayla silently begged she wouldn't have to use it against anyone. It felt wrong to kill other tributes. Most of them weren't bad, they were just trying to survive. Bur if it came down to it... She was also trying to survive and protect her alliance. "I can both keep watch over everyone and help build a shelter" she offers while stepping onto the beach. She is quick to put distance to herself and the water. "We should move quickly. I'd like to have these jobs done before nightfall."

"More than enough for one or two people. But for a group of this size... Not enough" Tayla responds while gesturing to the measly pile of survival packs and granola bars. "We'll have to go hunting or fishing. But let's worry about that once we get to land."

She glances up from her work and towards Ibaraki. She was glad that others were talking to him, perhaps it was a good distraction from the pain he was in. But she could tell that he was nervous, or maybe she was reading into this too much? No matter the answer, she was certain that he would appreciate some sort of reassurance. "Why don't we let Ibaraki rest for a bit? Would that be best for him?" Tayla asks while glancing at Molly. "I'm sure we're getting close to approaching land. We'll be safe over there. Cree is also close by, so you don't need to worry about a thing." At least, she hoped that Cree was close by. But she certainly wasn't going to check anytime soon.

Unfortunately, she quickly broke her internal promise. Noticing Charlie, she stands up to approach her. She visibly relaxes when she notices that they were quickly approaching land. "Any minute now! Is Faith still doing alright?" She asks Natalie.

There was a brief moment of tense silence. It seemed like nobody knew what to do. Thankfully, Irida is the first to break the silence.

"You three" Irida says, while turning to the scouts and captain. "Report to the colonel and tell her everything you told me." She turns to Gwen and Winters now, "you two, report back to the armies and continue your training." She steps away from the group to stand by the window. "I'll be joining you momentarily." She lowers her head and listens to the sounds of chairs scraping on floors and shuffling behind her. She is met with silence once the door shuts. But the silence is quickly broken when she hears footsteps behind her. "Didn't you hear me? I told you to report to the-" Irida turns to glare at Gwen, but the look on her face silences her.

"You lost someone important to you, didn't you?" Gwen asks lightly.

"So you were listening" Irida asks while rolling her eyes.

"I know what's that like. I lost someone too. Someone who was very important to me. More than important. He was everything to me. His death broke me and for years I believed that I couldn't possibly live without him. So I can sympathize with you if you want to talk about it" Gwen offers.

"You lost someone important? Haven't we all? We are in a war, there is not one person here who hasn't lost anyone. If you're looking for pity then you are barking up the wrong tree. We are generals, which means we live up to a certain standard that the average person wouldn't. We can't afford to break easily. Not with the lives of every kingdom resting on our shoulders!" Irida steps forward to place a hand on Gwen's shoulders. "it's important for us to never forget the one's we lost, but we must move forward, afterall, that's what they would want." Irida lowers her hand and walks towards the door, only to be stopped when Gwen speaks.

"You don't have to be strong all the time." Gwen fires back.

-"You don't have to be strong all the time."

"Kolby" the name slips out without conscious thought. Irida winces at the mention of his name. "Kolby always use to tell me that." She turns back around to face Gwen. "Fine, I'll talk."

"Nox" ~Dakota Thorne

~"I would, and I will. You know my theory. Plunge in. Face the fear head-on. Stay on the offense." (-Koethi Zan)~

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Occupation: Vigilante

Personality: Nox is quiet. She doesn't like to talk very much, so she chooses not to unless she has to. There are a few close people she is willing to strike conversation with though.
She is a terrifying enemy. She'll show little to no mercy and fight to the death. But she is a worthy ally. She is kind, and loyal. It'll be hard to earn her trust, but it's most certainly worth the effort.

Appearance: She has white hair, cut short into a pixie cut. Her cold, calculating eyes are an usual shade of gold. She stands at about 5'9, and has a fairly muscular build. She wears all dark clothing, as most people in her profession do. She always wears a cloth mask that covers her mouth to hide her identity and hide her expressions. She doesn't give her enemies... Or allies, anything to work with.

Backstory: "My name? Good question... what is my name? Ah, it's been years since I've thought of it. Since I've been called it... Since I've been her..."
Dakota Thorne was her name. WIP

Skills: She is very quick and agile. What makes her dangerous is her ability to be a silent killer. Everything about her is quiet. She can usually sneak up onto her enemies and strike before they realize that she is even there.
The most terrifying part? She rarely kills silently and quickly. If she is only assigned one target, she'll make her presence known. She'll sharpen her skills by playing with her food. Training with them until one of them breathes their final breath. The best people to train with are those who are fighting for their lives.
Her physical strength may not be the best, but her knowledge on swords and daggers makes up for it. She fights with two swords... Although occasionally she has to use her dagger. No matter what she uses, she can be a deadly enemy with her experience and knowledge.

Ability?: Her main ability is heightened senses. She most commonly uses it to track her prey and sense oncoming attacks. It'll be hard to land a hit on her and leave unscathed.

Weaknesses: She isn't too physically strong. She also doesn't use long ranged weapons. Someone with a gun, bow, or throwing melee weapon can be a dangerous enemy- dangerous enough to make even Nox a bit worried.
Nox is calculating, she'll take time to know her opponent before attacking. But she can be impatient. Sometimes launching an attack prematurely. She's nearly died a few times from her restlessness.

Weapons: Dual katanas and dual daggers

Daemon?: Snow leopard and raven named "Freyja" (Goddess of love and death)

"It's time for her to rise up once again!" Sage replies fiercely. "If we wish to win this war, we need all of our best warriors to be battle ready, emphasis on all" she adds. "Apologies that this was given to you on such short notice, but this needs to be done."

"I need this to be reforged" Sage repeats while sliding the box over to Star so that she can get a better look at the contents inside. She was relieved that there was actually a blacksmith willing to do this for her on such short notice, especially from Star, who was known to be a talented blacksmith. That was not going to be an easy task.
