[Gah. To get into the mood of writing and so I can actually freaking finish this fanfic update, time to work on all the RPs I'm in...]

To be honest, Hogwarts wasn't so bad.

Blowing some wayward strands of hair out of her pale face, the newly sorted Gryffindor studied her common room with mild interest. Students scurried to and fro, exchanging the latest gossip, meeting up with old friends, and some grouped together rather suspiciously in corners of the room. Later that night, several fifth years would be pranked, but Callie didn't find out about that till the next morning.

All the books she had bought from Flourish and Blotts had been pretty much devoured during the train ride, scaring off the students she shared the compartment with with her sharp and impatient tongue. One simply did not interrupt Callie's reading time. It was like fighting a dragon with a broken wand, alone in the wilderness. Play with fire, and you burn.

The phrase quite literally applied to young Callisto. The little accident that had caused her hair and eye problems did more damage than what met the eye. For one, she was constantly plagued with unorthodox nightmares about Greek mythology. Second, her hands seemed to have grown a mind of their own - and it was a pyromaniac. Third and last, well...her magic continued to have random outbursts, and rather unfortunately usually involved someone's hair into snakes. (Seriously, what was up with this Medusa magic? She definitely needed to come up with a proper incantation soon.)

Callie realized she must have fallen asleep - most likely due to stress and the fact she was a bit of an insomniac - and woke up at the crack of dawn, sweat pouring off her like a broken dam.

"Bloody nightmares," she said out loud to the empty common room.

A fire merrily crackled in the hearth, for which she was grateful. Callie figured that she would have probably frozen to death without it, since she wasn't accustomed to the frigid air of the north, more acquainted with the sleepy heat of the tropics. Stiffly stretching her frozen joints, the mild dark-haired girl managed to stumble her way up to the dorms. To her pleasant surprise, she had been assigned a lone dorm - her dad probably had something to do with that - and Psio gazed at her curiously as she fell through the door.

Muttering incoherent curses, Callie managed to get back on to her faulty feet. Falling face-first into her bed, she barely managed a mumble of "Wake me up when the sun rises." to her pet phoenix. The brilliantly colored magical beast dutifully woke her just as the sun began to peek over the horizon. With a lot of cursing that involved varying gods' names, Callie managed to shower (Dear Merlin, the water was freezing!), get dressed, and find her way to the Great Hall.

Psio followed, dramatically swooping in and out of sight with bursts of rapid golden fire. Callie was amazed she actually managed to remember the school layout, even more so when she found a solitary seat on the Gryffindor table. Several housemates cast wary looks at her, evidently knowing of her lineage. Seriously, just 'cause her ancestors did human sacrifice did not mean she did them too.

Either way, Callie was fine being seated away from her cousin. Ronnie was always excited, and it was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime moment if one could actually manage a brief look at her real hair color - a wavy hazelnut brown. Not many students were up and about yet. The sun was just rising after all. The class schedules had not yet been distributed, which saddened Callie slightly. She was looking forward to Potions and DADA, being a prodigy in both subjects. She had some bacon (no ketchup, no matter how good ketchup tasted), a few slices of buttered toast, and several refills of cold milk tea - which was quite the odd beverage to drink during breakfast.

As she slowly and meticulously went through her breakfast, Callie reread a few chapters of Confronting the Faceless by Ebba Visage and Advanced Potion-Making by Libatius Borage. Psio occasionally swooped out of her golden light shows to take drinks out of her goblet, making a few heads stare at her oddly. Callie ignored most of the looks, focusing steadily on her reading and food. Finally, she lost it when a fellow passing first year - not a Gryffindor, definitely - meekly asked why she just didn't lock her pet into her cage. Slamming her goblet down, Callie shot him a death glare, making him shrink backwards. "She's just not a pet, if you didn't notice," she hissed venomously at the boy. "She happens to be a free-spirited companion of mine, and you happen to be disturbing me."

With one last loathing glare, she went back to what she was previously doing before she was oh so rudely interrupted. Interrupting her reading was like awakening a sleeping dragon by tickling it. When would people ever learn? With a noncommittal sigh, she went back to perusing her books for a certain paragraph that had been nagging at her all week.

A few hours later, she was delighted to receive her class schedule, and after inspecting it, she barely contained a whoop of joy. Potions was first! Callie was no know-it-all. She was patient when it came to waiting for other students to catch up, and she actually liked reviewing through "basic" potions. Practice made perfect, and she had to keep up her game. She was slightly familiar with the professor, noting that he had been a few articles involving potion ingredient breakthroughs. Nothing special. She didn't go all crazy when the teacher started talking, merely paying attention. Her partner was a blonde average-looking Ravenclaw girl. When the professor set them the meager task of making a potion to cure boils, Callie expertly started crushing the six snake fangs with no squeamishness whatsoever. She quietly did not issue any orders to her Ravenclaw partner, and waited for the girl to react on her own.

[I was sort of thinking that we could pair up different students from different Houses. That way - more interaction o3o. And Callie's partner is Clarisse, in case I did a shabby job of describing her (I probably did. I have difficulty describing other people's OCs)]

Riona stared, probably for the billionth time. "My name is Riona, not Calypso. Are you sure you have not mistaken me for someone else?" She offered weakly.

She warily shook the girl's hand. She didn't seem like a psychopath, or anything. Plus, she looked very very suspiciously like on of the Binaries...All those dream visions were probably not just dreams.

"So...how long have you been stuck in this world? You're not a gijinka nor a human, that's for sure," Riona asked, curiosity seeping into her voice.

She couldn't help asking. It was way too obvious to not. Besides...the girl did look slightly familiar....she just couldn't remember...

A Christmas Poem for like, I dunno, EVERYONE

The season of joy has arrived
But as a friend, I have deprived
You of several things of friendship
That do not include cries of "My Ladyship!"

I do have reason to believe
That my efforts have not quite conceived
The fruits of a labor we humans impatiently receive
During a time of joy like Christmas

So in a futile attempt
Please humor my ascent
To this ridiculously decorated stage
From where I could possibly fall from nervousness
But never fear, for I am a mage (Actually, it's sorcerer.)

As I read to you these words of rhyme
Traveling time and space (Wheee whooo wheee whoo, Doctor Who.)
Whisking you through the early days
Please forgive my horrible jokes
You will, won't you?
Oh no, don't choke.

Have an eggnog, and possibly some ham
Get a little woozy, grab that air gun and BAM
(Whoops, sorry Dad. It was Tommy's fault!)
Perhaps we met through a haze of randomness and fun
Danced on the veranda, you fell on your bum
Or perhaps we met through a series of complex decisions
I think one of your grannies may have had a vision
Or maybe I attempted to kill your brother
I'm SURE we laughed about it after...
And last of last, maybe it just was
We bonded through cookies possibly on a bus
But wait, oh wait, there's even more
I believe you started throwing fluffy golden pillows at my door

Maybe we met in a pillow fight
Or I tried to kill someone out of spite
There's the possibility of cookie jars
And a few serious discussions
Here, have a chocolate bar
And lie down on the cushions
Before you get a serious concussion

But anyway, no matter how we met
Whoever you are, and whatever is your pet
I love you guys, you're the best

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Denied. You forgot to put your username. Also...I think you might have mixed up the gijinka and binary forms. Binary is whatever, semi-transformed/gijinka is the one that looks like a gijinka. And next time, please link me to the images themselves, not the url link where you found them.

Edit: Accepted.

Reyna had pretty much slashed up the monster before Derek could move a muscle. The weird-looking bull thing was now wobbling around them letting out creaky sounds. Reyna put it out of its misery with one last whack of her khopesh. "Automaton," she told Derek.

Derek shook his head. "Seriously. No more picnics beneath the shadow of your cabin," He muttered, poking the sparking remains of the bull with a toe.

Reyna rolled her eyes before sheathing her weapons. Her shadow seemed to be writhing randomly as she sat back down on their picnic blanket. "Shut up and eat. I'm starved."

Almost reluctantly, Derek followed in suit and opened the picnic basket. Inside were...well, a lot of mouthwatering food and ice cold drinks. Both Fantasies took bits of everything, making small talk as they ate.

"Wonder how many campers are here," Reyna said right before biting into a jelly doughnut.

Derek replied with a half-shrug as his mouth was stuffed full. Reyna scowled and chucked a napkin at him. "Slow down on the food."

Her friend swallowed finally and took the napkin to wipe his mouth. "Can't. I don't remember the last time we ate food like this."

Reyna sighed, muttering something that sounded suspiciously like Boys underneath her breath.

[They're by the Darkness cabin, btw.]

[I just want to tell those who haven't read the whole series a few things:

1. The Mist, unlike in the movies, is EVERYWHERE. It's not a healing thingamajiggy. I think you might be referring to ambrosia and nectar. Those are the magic healing god food.

2. Everyone's related to everyone in Greek mythology, just not genetically. And there are a lot of half-siblings (those gods just can't keep their clothes on -.- seriously.) Since gods don't have DNA (Okay. I want golden blood/ichor now. 'Cause lack of DNA would solve a lot of problems humanity has been dealing with.), as long as you don't have the same godly parent, it's fine to date and shizzam.

3. Luke's dead, as mentioned before.

4. Actually, a lot of people are dead, including Beckendorf.

5. Athena bears her children through pure thought. Which is why AOE are so frigging smart.

Uhhh, that's most of it, I think. Enjoy the spoilers!

Oh wait. Why are there so many Hades kids?! D:

Are you all trying to- Nope nope. I'm not saying another word.]

I prefer Stygian iron. Because I just love stabbing something and seeing it dissolve into a puddle of shadow. Celestial bronze would come second, since it's mostly what Greek demigods use. I don't like Imperial Gold much due to the fact I think it's too "flashy" and well...too Roman for me.

I usually just like mixing Celestial bronze and Stygian iron. So one dagger can melt monsters into shadows, and the other basically just turns them into sparkly dust. Fun times, fun times.

Oh, and Hero hasn't been too active due to the fact she's moving to another house and stuff. Wulf's flying to London (Now I wonder how it would sound if a British demigod went all "DIE!" I've always found different people's accents interesting.) due to family stuff. And that's just me excusing their absences.

Riona blankly stared at the strange girl who had come out of nowhere and glomped her. A faint memory tugged at her, but it faded as quickly as it went. Carefully, Riona freed herself from the girl's grip.

"Apologies. I lost about half of my memory when I got to this world. Did I know you?" Riona inquired calmly.

The stupid tunnel had stolen most of her memory, and Riona could only vaguely remember the most depressing parts of her life. Those memories would always haunt her.

She'd been in this odd world for about a month. For the first few days, she'd been scared senseless. Then she got herself together. Riona got a job at a small bakery, and with her developing powers, she had managed to build a cozy log cabin just at the outskirts of the city. During her free time, she roamed the city listlessly, doing her best to find out why she had been sent here. Looking at the oddly dressed flying girl, she felt a pang of guilt. Guilt for not recognizing this girl.

Riona had seen several gijinkas all over the city, and she'd been pretty shocked when she realized she was in a Pokémon world. It took some time getting used to. Now she noticed that the girl in frnt of her was definitely not a gijinka. For one, she looked nothing like any Pokémon. Which only left one logical answer.

She was a Binary experiment as well.

Hylla did her best to block out the stinging pain the bitter winds inflicted upon her body. Any minor injuries she had gained from her random fall had healed the moment she had gotten back to the air. She scanned the area below her warily, trying to locate the place where she had stashed her meager belongings.

After a few more moments of enduring the cold, Hylla spotted a small clearing at the edge of the woods. Relieved, she immediately dived towards the clearing. Once she got her feet back on the ground, her wings retracted upon command. She hurriedly walked to a hollow tree and thrust her hand inside, withdrawing a small bag.

The bag didn't hold much. Just a few things necessary for survival including clothes, hunting tools, and a few holy souvenirs from Above. Carelessly, Hylla slung the pack over her shoulder. Her wings reappeared and she set off for the skies once more. She'd need a place to change.

As she flew overhead, she glanced down to see a small gathering of people - or were they even people? Curiosity taking over, she stealthily descended, hovering just out of sight. Perhaps they knew the nearest restroom. Probably just her wishful thinking.

[gah, really need to cut down my number of RPs. x.x]

Riona sat on the edge of the rooftop of a building.

'Course, she'd always been the oddball of the family. Both of her older siblings got their father's dark hair, Riona took after her mother. Her siblings were popular at school, always out and about, and always had friends over.

Riona was their complete opposite.

For one, she blended in the shadows at school. Riona kept to her studies, barely spoke with anyone her age, and was usually confined to her spacious bedroom. Very few even knew that the gorgeous Analissa and the hot bad boy Callum had a quiet, loner of a sister. Many a time did people stare curiously at Riona if she ever mentioned her last name - Miracle. The first question that popped out of people's mouths when Riona introduced herself would be "Wait, Miracle? You related to Analissa or Callum?"

Miracle wasn't a common last name, and there was only one Miracle family in their town. Thus came all the whispers. They said there was something wrong with Riona. Said she had to be adopted; she looked nothing like her siblings. Said that Analissa and Callum pretended she didn't exist.

Only the last part was true. Her siblings had no love for Riona, and Riona did her best to live with that. Her parents tended to ignore her as well, often murmuring that something must've gone wrong with their youngest child.

"There's nothing wrong with me," Riona wanted to say.

But she couldn't. So she didn't speak. Nobody ever bullied her or bothered her - all were terrified of what her siblings would do. Not that her siblings would have given a damn if she was killed.

Riona just wanted a new life. Start afresh. She accelerated greatly in her studies, earning the quiet respect of her superiors. Riona longed to leave this town where she had been born and raised and judged. Sometimes she even felt like she was reallydifferent - a freak. She kept those thoughts at bay, focusing on her goal.

Then the day came. She unlocked her powers, was transported to who-knows-where, and was left to fend for her own in a completely new environment, penniless.

As she mulled over these thoughts, she brushed a lock of shock blue hair out of her face, pulled herself to her feet. For a moment, she looked down, seeing not the cars on the road, but death. Death staring at her right in the face, wondering what this girl was planning.

But beneath that shy, secretive exterior, was a fighter.

Riona Gardenia Miracle observed the impressive height for one last moment. Then she jumped.

And then her eyes flashed into a brilliant blue, her shock blue hair began to brighten into a flaming red, and her typical Friday faded jeans and off-shoulder purple top was transformed into an elegant blue dress adorned with diamonds and pale white leggings wrapped around her legs. Blue slip-ons replaced her sneakers.

And from her back, sprouted angel-sized crystalline blue wings.

Time to explore whatever was in store for her here.

[bit gloomy, bit drama, eh, sneaking at 3am inthe morn.]

Kane

Kane woke up to find himself in the infirmary, Jaz fussing over him. He noted that Callie's emerald ring was back on his necklace.

"I'm fine! I promise!" He protested, attempting (and failing) to not blush at Jaz's clear concern.

"Didn't look like that to me," the blonde girl retorted, clearly not believing him.

"Gods, you're stubborn," Kane grumbled in defeat as Jaz checked him for any wounds.

"Get used to it, Evergreen," Jaz replied testily.

"It's Eversley!" Kane exclaimed, failing to realize he was half-naked.

Jaz snorted in laughter. She only ever acted like this towards him (and he was completely aware of it), for some reason. Cough cough. "Put on a shirt, hot shot. Just because you're half-naked doesn't mean I'm going to go all silly giggly dumb blonde cheerleader on you," She proceeded to tease.

Kane felt himself go completely red, and barely noticed Jaz laughing as she walked out of the room.

Calliope

Callie was pissed.

Seriously. She passed out and had a vision of Hecate and that mysterious woman, and stayed unconscious till it was dinner time. Then when she woke up, the magicians arrived, Chaos quite literally struck (Annabeth had never held her at dagger point before!), a few of her many secrets had been revealed, and she passed out once again due to Chaos minion.

Actually none of that really upset her more than not being able to eat for one whole day.

Off-topic. Anyway, when she woke up, she was bombarded with questions by various Apollo medics and when she finally got out of the infirmary, the sun had already risen to the sky, announcing the arrival of morning. Callie hurried to the mess hall, where she successfully avoided attention by hiding behind her half-siblings, who had the wonderful timing to head for breakfast just as she was. Nobody at her table questioned her disappearance for two days (seeing as she woke up the previous day at like, three in the morning.)

Callie immediately noticed that an unfamiliar demigod was sitting at the Zeus table. It was easy to notice - the only known Zeus child was Thalia Grace (that girl was the definition of awesome and one of Callie's friends who didn't live in camp), and she was the Lieutenant of the Hunters of Artemis.

"He arrived yesterday. I hear he was being pursued by the Minotaur itself!" Callie heard from a passing group of Aphrodite girls. At this, she glanced at the newcomer, and shrugged. Possible, but even Percy freaking Jackson, savior of Olympus, was in the infirmary for what, three days? Three days when the Minotaur attacked him. Without training, a child of the Big Three was nothing special. Plus, Percy didn't have Riptide when the Minotaur chased him all the way to camp. This new Zeus kid had two swords strapped to his waist, and he didn't seem to be uncomfortable, meaning he was used to it. Callie was good at reading people. It was an essential demigod survival skill.

Callie turned her interest to her food, quickly wolfing it down. She didn't want to see Percy, or Annabeth, or anyone who had seen her pass out yesterday. She wondered what had happened to Carter and Sadie, and if the others had introduced them to Chiron.

She noted that unlike before, the diamond ring she had made for Kane was no longer dull and lifeless. It pulsed with an alien magic - Egyptian - and gave Callie a feeling that she wasn't the only one using the other's powers. Kane must have activated the emerald staff.

You did well.

"Athena," Callie acknowledged as she munched a bit of bacon.

Indeed.

"So if Hecate and you are the two goddesses, who's the third?" Callie inquired.

You already know who she is. The veiled woman.

There was a gnawing feeling in Callie's gut. "No way. If I'm thinking about the right goddess...I should be dead."

The ill-tempered husband will not strike at you directly. Not when I am your patron and Hecate is your mother.

Callie kept silent, grimly continuing to eat her breakfast.

[Kay. So uh, since assuming everyone was busy with the campfire/dinner the previous day, no one knows about Sadie and Carter's sudden appearance in camp. So I guess if Percy and Annabeth decide to introduce them to Chiron, they'll be surprised that Chiron already knows (eliminating the "why do Death and Bolt know each other when the two worlds haven't even met yet" problem). By timeskipping, we sort of reset the time problem and start over with morning o3o]
