It was a normal day in the DesertClan camp. Every cat was waking up. Shellspeckle got up and looked around. Quuens were talking, apprentices were play-fighting, all pretty normal. Flamestar stood on his rock, looking at his clan. Shellspeckle was going to the fresh kill pile to get breakfast, when suddenly a white light appreared in the middle of camp. The cats looked at it, amazed. When it dissapeared, a small crystal was left behind. The camp started asking questions about it. Flamestar jumped down from his rock to inspect the crystal. "I think it's safe." he said, stepping back. Shellspeckle reached a paw forward to touch it. "Wait, don't!" Flamestar screeched. But it was too late, and the crystal blew up in a blast of light.

Shellspeckle groaned as he woke up again. He felt as if he had fallen. When he stood up, he didn't see sand. Instead, he saw dirt, grass, and... Trees? I don't think we're home,he thought. He quickly ran to Flamestar and helped push him up. "Is everyone okay?" the leader asked. "I think so." Shellspeckle replied. "Not for long." a voice interrupted. The cats looked around. They were surrounded by cats. They were bigger than the DesertClan cats, and had longer fur. "What are you doing on SilverClan territory?" the original cat asked. SilverClan the DesertClan cats semmed to ask. "Isn't it obvious Soaringwind?" a tabby she-cat asked. "What do you mean, Poppycharm?" Soaringwind asked. Poppycharm shook her head. "They're clearly BloodClan spies! We must take them away!" A larger cat steped forth. "Now let's not come to conclusions," he said calmly. Poppycharm scowled. "You're always so careful, Moonfeather." she muttured. Moonfeather didn't seemed bothered. "And you're always so careless," he retorted. "We can't be sure they're BloodClan cats." A fourth cat said. "Look at them, they're scrawny!" Scrawny! Shellspeckle thought. I'd claw his face off right now if we knew where the heck we are. "Rainbreeze is right," Moonfeather added. "We must take them to Bumblestar."
