Reminder that the deadline for submission is reset tomorrow!
If for whatever reason you cannot make the deadline, it would be nice if you apologise and explain to the person you are creating for and try to get it done as soon as you can!
Don't explain yourself to me, explain yourself to them!

You don't have to submit it at exactly that time, because time zones can be a little tricky, but just whenever you can around that time!
Other than that, I hope everything goes smoothly! If you don't receive your gift by December 24th and haven't had any contact from your Secret Santa, contact me and we'll work out what to do!

Sign ups are now closed!
Any posts beyond this point will not be counted. Apologies for closing a few hours early unannounced, something has come up tomorrow and I won't be able to send out the information to everyone (and I want to give you as much time as I can to work on your gift!) Everyone should hopefully receive the person you will be creating for via PM tonight, so keep a lookout!! If there are any issues, please contact me to sort them out!

A reminder that in the event that you have a legitimate reason and you know you will not be able to complete your gift please inform me as soon as possible so I can work out what to do about it.

☆☆☆Secret Santa 2018☆☆☆

Apparently there's already been one this year, but signups are closed. So in case anyone else wants to join, I wanted to make one too! This Secret Santa welcomes writers as well as artists!

Signups close server reset, November 23rd
Or sooner if there are too many people to keep track of

Deadline for submission is reset December 23rd

Here's how it's going to work:
Fill out the form below! On November 24th I will PM you the user you will be creating for, as well as all the information included in their form. (I will match you to a user based on the information you provide in the form). You have until server reset December 23rd to complete your works. You are then free to send what you have created to your receiver! Even if you finish before that date, please wait until December 23rd to send your works! If you don't receive your gift by this time and the user hasn't contacted me about being late, notify me and I'll deal with them.

What's allowed:
-Written works
-Digital art
-Detailed pixel art (sprite edits are not allowed)
-Traditional art (but MUST be scanned, not photographed)

If in doubt, be willing to give as much as you expect to receive!

And to prevent complete anarchy, here are the rules:
1. It would be extremely helpful if you subscribe to this forum thread, in case of updates/plan changes etc.
2. This whole exchange takes place through PM, please DO NOT Palpad submissions to avoid confusion
3. If you have a question for the user you are creating for, don't ask them, ask me to ask them!
4. Winter/general holiday themes are welcome! But even though this event is centred around Christmas, please try to avoid referencing specific religious festivals in your works in order to respect everyone's holiday traditions!
5. Only sign up if you are willing to commit to completing your work. If you have a serious reason for not completing it, please tell me as soon as you can. I won't be angry, but I need to work out what to do about it.
6. Failure to complete your gift without informing me of a legitimate reason prior will result in you being blacklisted from other events, design/art auctions like this hosted by me. You also will not receive your gift.
7. All 'levels of ability' are welcome! But please put in as much effort as you would like to receive in return. If you're only going to spend 30 mins on a rough head shot, you're not welcome to sign up. Bases/character makers etc. are also banned. Please ensure that the work you submit is your own!
