 I hope this thread is in accordance with the rules here. I apologise if it is otherwise. (Addressed to Romanian users / speakers, mainly, but the info here will be in English.) Hello! I wanted to write a few lines about my book which came out almost two years ago (and maybe get people interested). It is a novel of about 270 pages, psychological, philosophical, you could say supernatural to some extent (due to the presence of telepathy), probably fitting in the genre fantasy, mainly. The female protagonist, a young adult of a reflexive nature, seeks self-knowledge and is permanently meditating on the things that happen, on the outside and especially on the inside. She is gifted with this blessing (or curse, as her journey lets her think so at times) which is the ability to read people's minds. The voices she kept hearing for years proved to be the thoughts of the ones around her, making her live cautiously. The year of 2030 is when the main storyline begins. I won't reveal much of the plot, but this setting in a near future is an alternative world, one where humankind caused massive damage to nature and apparently regressed, at present. No technology is there to help appease the local battles and the shortage of food is the visible aftermath of the great war that had passed. However, there is much interest in living harmoniously with nature, thus the existence of special homes built in the massive tree trunks of several meters (or much more) in diameter. When gone in the woods to save a soldier from murder, she is targeted by the army and is forced to leave her hometown (on the exact place of nowadays city of Ploiesti; hint for Romanians). On her travel she notices the existence of a mysterious group / gang that have a peculiar method of killing - no wounds, no physical marks on the victim. Do they own a similar ability as the protagonist? Certainly, only that their purposes are not exactly the same as hers. Hence the conflict of ideas and convictions that is to follow, producing a rift in her judgement, uncertainty, reflection on the duality of things (depicted symbolically in the passage referring to the Moon, two-faced watch of the world beneath). She is to find what she so much desired, especially with the aid of the sprit of the forest and her enemy, companion and, later on realized, soulmate. What is 'home', 'happiness' and 'love' to her? The very essence of these notions will be disclosed in the end. Well, I tried to cover the main points of the story, but be certain that there are many, many more aspects that weren't presented.
