He closed his eyes and kept running. Now I’m not sure if any of our readers have closed their eyes and ran blindly through a cave, but a small piece of advice, don’t do it! The boy kept running, but not for long, as a rock on the path caused him to trip and fall. With some difficulty in the pitch darkness he was able to get himself up. With an involuntary gulp he tried to feel his way to the top. Time passed very slowly, or so he felt. How long had he been climbing? A few minutes? An hour? A day? He had no clue. There did not seem to be even the slightest rays of light, either. As he was climbing up, the boy heard crying. Muffled crying was coming from his right. What should he do? As the boy rushed up the jagged path, he felt his surroundings get darker and darker. He closed his eyes and kept running. Now I’m not sure if any of our readers have closed their eyes and ran blindly through a cave, but a small piece of advice, don’t do it! The boy kept running, but not for long, as a rock on the path caused him to trip and fall. With some difficulty in the pitch darkness he was able to get himself up. With an involuntary gulp he tried to feel his way to the top. Time passed very slowly, or so he felt. How long had he been climbing? A few minutes? An hour? A day? He had no clue. There did not seem to be even the slightest rays of light, either. As he was climbing up, the boy heard crying. Muffled crying was coming from his right. What should he do? For example are they based off of anyone you know? A: Yes! I actually base a lot of my characters off of people I know, whether it be appearance, personality, names, etc. (although I try not to make them too similar lol). For RPs, I usually use characters that don't already have a set personality, and I develop their personality as the RP proceeds. I have a bunch of characters I haven't really posted anything about because I'm saving them for my own story of sorts, so for those characters I usually either primarily base them off of people I know or create their personality in a way that I think suits the story best Q: Out of all of your characters past or present, who would your favorite be and what roleplay were they in? A: My favorite RP character right now is probably my character Edmund Wilder! I actually based him off of one of my good irl friends ! I've used him in a lot of RPs, but unfortunately I can't find any of them right now. Q: Has there ever been a roleplayer you have enjoyed working with the most? A: Hm...honestly I really enjoy roleplaying with most people. If I had to pick, I'd probably say my favorite probably has to be imagine! We do a lot of discord roleplays...he's great to RP with ! Although my favorite types of roleplays are fantasy or sci-fi, if that counts for anything Q: What has your favorite moment from roleplaying on Pokeheroes been? A: I really enjoy all of my roleplays (for the most part), but my favorite moment was probably from uh...I don't remember the name of the roleplay, but it was a mystery-murder one. We unfortunately didn't get very far before it went inactive, but I thought the part where each character was trying to figure out the murderer's identity was fun! Q: If you had to tell someone why they should roleplay, what would u tell them? A: I'd probably start with telling them why I enjoy it. It's a good time-killer to be honest, but it also helps you form a personality for the character you're using in the roleplay. It's also a good creative outlet and allows you to just kinda..let loose~! Some roleplays also have really interesting plots, so if a person is writing their own story, roleplays may help them not only develop characters, but also contribute some plot ideas! Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to this week's edition of…. Q: What goes into the characters you make? For example are they based off of anyone you know? A: My charas...oh I think it could depend. My characters have a tendency to be quite circumstantial; Morrigan was created with Yveltal's presumed brutality (the Oblivion Wing in particular) while Adelaide Veturius was created completely differently; she grew up in a broken home and an even more broken family. Otherwise, I think that most of my characters grew out of my daily daydreaming if that makes sense. Like...the ideas of what if something went this way-or a different way. Q: Out of all of your characters past or present, who would your favorite be and what roleplay were they in? A: My favorite has to be either Adelaide Veturius or Mirra Ahvengarde. Adelaide gets high votes because not only is she fun to RP, she's pretty much set as a badass, vicious persona. Her backstory is also open enough so I can be flexible with it. Mirra on the other hand, I have fun RPing not just because of her arduous, brutish attitude, but also because of her troubled backstory. Coming back from hell and going back into it makes for a pretty interesting persona. Q: Has there ever been a roleplayer you have enjoyed working with the most? A: "The most" is a bit hard but uhh the people I've had the best relations with are Tsukoyomi, RedTheHalfShinyVulpix, rawheight and Bluhen. Bluhen is sadly no longer on PH actively anymore, and neither is another good friend LesbianPossum. I miss them both dearly, especially Bluhen. Phantomx is another fond acquaintance Q: What has your favorite roleplay on this site been so far? A: The Star Wars RP was one of the few RPs I was in from start to finish (I played Lunara and later Athena Aralind), the other one being the DRV3 RP - Kokichi's Army in which I played Black Kokichi. I glanced at the news feed for the update and when I saw my name there, I had a moment of confusion. What was my name doing there? I had to re-read that paragraph a few times before I realized what was going on. After that, I was bombarded with kind messages telling me congrats and that people liked the event, I was on a happy joyride that made it hard to sleep last night! Q: About how many entries did you submit and about how many times have you entered? A: I have entered two contests, the one from 2019 and the one from this year, 2020. My previous year did not win, so I decided to give it another go this year. I entered with three different Pokemon lines, and I have received feedback on all that people really liked the ones that did not win as well. Personally, I would have liked to see the Fire Woobat line come to exist, but I'm just glad my sprites are well liked by everyone Q: What inspired the sprite that you entered into the contest (the winning one I mean) A: I've been a Pokemon card collector since I was little, and there was a pack themed series known as Delta Species. I'm not sure if many people here remember them, but the Pokemon Cards that had the Delta Species symbol had different types, for example, the Charmander line were Electric types instead of Fire. When I was glancing through a list of Pokemon that would be fun to edit as sprites, I looked at Slugma and Magcargo and wondered what they would be like to have their types changed since they're made of lava. So I went ahead to make them water type (which in this case was to turn them from lava monsters into water creatures). I glanced at the news feed for the update and when I saw my name there, I had a moment of confusion. What was my name doing there? I had to re-read that paragraph a few times before I realized what was going on. After that, I was bombarded with kind messages telling me congrats and that people liked the event, I was on a happy joyride that made it hard to sleep last night! Q: About how many entries did you submit and about how many times have you entered? A: I have entered two contests, the one from 2019 and the one from this year, 2020. My previous year did not win, so I decided to give it another go this year. I entered with three different Pokemon lines, and I have received feedback on all that people really liked the ones that did not win as well. Personally, I would have liked to see the Fire Woobat line come to exist, but I'm just glad my sprites are well liked by everyone Q: What inspired the sprite that you entered into the contest (the winning one I mean) A: I've been a Pokemon card collector since I was little, and there was a pack themed series known as Delta Species. I'm not sure if many people here remember them, but the Pokemon Cards that had the Delta Species symbol had different types, for example, the Charmander line were Electric types instead of Fire. When I was glancing through a list of Pokemon that would be fun to edit as sprites, I looked at Slugma and Magcargo and wondered what they would be like to have their types changed since they're made of lava. So I went ahead to make them water type (which in this case was to turn them from lava monsters into water creatures).  So 2 days back some users noticed that there are galarian bird trios available in missing dex entries on the user's pokedex page. Everyone was surprised and were ready to get their hands on them until riako dropped a big gem bomb on us.In the latest news, riako told us that the FINAL GALAR MAP UPDATE is here and if u have traded 20k gems, you can obtain the new and improved galar map which promises even more gems and have the ability to do legendary boss fights to obtain the new legendary birds. But that's not all, instead of directly getting them, you can obtain their summoning item, which is a feather from the birds. We can all agree that the gem collect is not greedy by increasing the requirement from 15k to 20k as the last map upgrade was at 10k exchanges. Although it is not sure yet if the birds are shiny huntable,but i am pretty sure that item market and gts are soon gonna be on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 with these feathers being sold for those who want to shiny hunt it already.SO get ready for some heat and your money to be blown away. With an involuntary gulp he tried to feel his way to the top. Time passed very slowly, or so he felt. How long had he been climbing? A few minutes? An hour? A day? He had no clue. There did not seem to be even the slightest rays of light, either. As he was climbing up, the boy heard crying. Muffled crying was coming from his right. What should he do? Welcome back to the PH times~ :D By PokeliciousBae! 26/07/20 || Issue #74 || Editor: Hipsterpotamus “I never think of the future - it comes soon enough.” Albert Einstein Time for a new kind of contest! This time its a 3D crafting contest~ Make anything you’d like to submit related to pokemons. OC’s are accepted. The only criteria: You have to make something that is 3D. Deadline: August 14th Throughout the world, trainers have partially changed into one of their pokemon. Chaos ensued everywhere. All ‘caught’ pokemon were released, and trainers understood Pokemon speech! In Kanto, a boy of 12 found himself half dratini. “What... happened?” He was in Mt Moon, with the dratini he was given by the very Champion, Lance. It was then that the cave’s ceiling suddenly disappeared. Terrified, he had fallen over, and above him he had seen, Arceus. Looking around now, he saw that all the other trainers were pokemon too, and everyone was freaking out. He felt scared. He didn’t know what to do. What would Lance do? Suddenly, he heard a roar. He turned in that direction to see a half man half Onix. He didn’t seem too happy. It was at that moment the boy felt it… an earthquake! All the trainers scattered, and so did he. Soon, he found himself at a fork. With the cave collapsing around him, he had to make a quick decision. He found that one of the paths was going upwards, but was darker.
