I actually missed the point about racism. This doesn't compare to that simply because of the ratio they're found at. Races are not extremely rare. Now, there are certain cultures --indigenous cultures-- dying out, but even that doesn't count as it's own race.

To even suggest that a certain race of people might be extremely rare, as compared to pokemon, is pretty offensive. There's no race that is so rare that there's only 1 in 8,000+ comparing to other races. Not in the current time period, at least.

Also, even if said race were to exist, you're basically saying you wouldn't like them simply because they're rare and different.

	Um, breeding a pokemon a lot will only diminish it's rarity making people care about the normal forms of pokemon even less. Shinies are liked because they're rare and often times look better than regular forms. It's the same reason why people prefer gold to rocks. Because rocks are so much more common. [Read more]

	I've been doing some research on it, and according to one thing, Paused! for Chrome might not work if the GIF is from another domain, which most are. sigh I guess I could try it. Ok, so I've been seeing a lot of moving avatars lately. I'm one of those people who easily gets distracted by moving things. So when I'm reading a forum thread or a feed, these can be distracting and annoying. I know a lot of people love moving avatars and think they're cool, and I don't want to take that ability to use them from you.

So what I'm suggesting is to have an option in the settings to have avatars not move for the user (sorry for my bad wording, I'm tired). How this would work is something similar to taking the first frame of a GIF and using that instead of the GIF. I'm not sure if this is possible, but it'd be nice for those of us who don't like moving avatars and such. Because we're forced to see them when someone posts and it's hard to get it out of the way.
