I've gotten a few smaller projects done, so the art shop is back open!

...With some changes!

As always, it is probably a good idea to re-read the first post (wink), but the tl;dr version is:

-An additional character is now +100k instead of +50k. It's still "half-off" of the full price of a full-body, so I hope this is fine. Most people just ask for one, so this shouldn't have too big of an impact overall!
-"Matching avatars" are now formally listed on the first post, underneath the avatar option.
-Slots have decreased by one... BUT I have added an additional two slots, reserved for people who have not requested art from me before. A few people have messaged me requesting this! If I do not recognize your username, I'll put you in one of those slots. This way, it should be easier for you to catch a slot before the shop gets closed!

Slightly related to the shop, I have now opened up a "free avatar gallery" for canon Pokemon avatars. Right now there are just the Eeveelutions, but when I have free time and no other projects to work on, I'll be adding more. Adopt Shop was a bust so no need mentioning that ;w;

Event points would be a good idea! If I remember correctly, the only way to earn those is via chests, the Advent Calendar (might just be vouchers, idr), and outright purchasing them with nuggets. It might even be possible to exchange the mentor points for event vouchers (ex. so many gets you a common one, a bit more for an uncommon, etc.).

Haha, we're all speculating, but it's entirely possible the points/level system doesn't actually do anything! We're still kind of in a "test run" mode with the mentor program since it's so new to the site.

I really hope it's not a super special reward. If the reward is made too special (exclusive Pokemon, exclusive item, nuggets) it's not very fair to the users who can't enter the mentor program (or everyone stuck in the unlucky "no response" limbo, like the majority of this topic XD).

If it's just something cosmetic like a tag or medal, or something simple like a decent amount of PD or gems, that would probably be better/more fair. The point of the mentor program is to help the newbies. By introducing a "prize," it kind of takes away the spirit of helping others just out of the goodness of your heart.

I'd enjoy this a lot more if I got responses. ;w;

Being shy myself, I completely understand newbies being afraid of interaction (or they're site-savvy enough to do everything themselves), but it's a bit of a disappointment that you essentially stop earning points because the newbies don't respond. It's kind of luck of the draw whether or not you get someone who actually wants/needs help.

I feel like the points/level system is a tad bit pressuring to the mentors? It gives a sense that you're failing an objective that's out of your control.

Maybe the newbies should have a tutorial step that asks them to reply to your PM (teaching them how to use the PM system in the process)? Maybe it can emphasize that the PM is from a fellow player and not a bot? ;w;

Taking a bit of a break from doing commission work! Probably just for the weekend. I tend to get burned out from doing too many in a short amount of time, but that's just how I work! > <;;

Debating whether I should try my hand at making adopts? Someone suggested it to me and I'm pondering it... I'd probably keep the starting bid at the base 200k I charge for commissions, since I'd be putting the same amount of time/effort into them. Hmmst.

I'm very excited for fall! The temperature cools down a lot around here, and fall signals the start of my favorite time of the year; October-December! I'll probably start making new Halloween designs for my shop soon; my current ones are two years old! Kind of rusty, imo...
