You buy the Pokeradar at the Emera Mall, and (as a non-premium user) you power it up by using PD, Nuggets or Electric Gems. Then you have to start hatching the same kind of Pokemon over and over again (like Pikachu if you want to shinyhunt it). Each hatched Pikachu will increase your chance of hatching a shiny, with maximum chance reached at 40 hatched.

The thing is, If you hatch a different Pokemon during this process (for example a Charmander), your chain gets broken and you have to start over again.
Also, as a non-premium user, your Pokeradar will reset as well as soon as you hatch a Shiny, so you need to power it up and restart the chain for a 2nd Shiny

	You can check in the Pokedex how many Normal / Shiny / Shadow versions are of that Pokemon. But there is no "list" like the Pokeradar has for your own hatched shinies. Plus, I think the Pokedex numbers are not always accurate because they dont consider the released ones [Read more]

It can be just incredible bad luck. Also, your friends' faster breeding could be influenced by quite a lot of things like: do they have premium? Did they use a white/black flute? Did they get the fountain bonus? Perhaps they were breeding when Valentines day happened, because the Daycare will produce a massive amount of eggs then. Are they active? (This isn't confirmed, but for me it feels like if you interact more/be active you get more eggs).

	For buying Seeds and Berries at the berry market, you need to have their "BerryDex" entry (Level of berries do matter here). If you buy Berries at the Mall/Item Shop/Item Market, you have to transfer them to the Berry Bag in the Berry Garden first. Only Berries in your Berry Bag can be transformed into Seeds [Read more]
