erin sokolov
the second in command of the hemlock pack.
cisfem
large in build as a wolf, brilliant alabaster fur with cream points and grey fur around her ears.
highly trusted by the alpha, having been manipulated than a longer time than the others.
perhaps the only one who can see through her alpha's illusions, but she's keeping quiet for some reason.
tries to keep the rest of the pack in line, and keep them from getting on the alpha's bad side.

erin was known for being rather disposed towards violence than any manner of diplomacy, but in the end, her ideas were futile, and as such, the android said nothing when the woman carefully elaborated on her manner of punishment. a maniacal grin perched on her maw, each word delivered with savage intent - a delineation of information that she had always known. of course, the android wasn't about to go alone. by some mercy, they'd given her a companion to suffer with together. no longer in human form but conscious nonetheless, the dark cloud andrea had become trilled with devilish delight, weaving around erin's shoulders, briefly shadowing the android. a morbid sense of confusion aroused in her chest as she watched the cloud dart around this way and that, completely intangible but horrible all the same. andrea's going to be delighted, the android growled to herself. erin had harbored a great sense of apprehension for the red spy, who seemed absolutely determined to get under the android's skin. andrea wanted a favor done, some deal to make good upon, but at this point, she had little idea what it was. did she expect the android to make a promise to her? a guarantee for salvation and rescue? but how could she promise that. i'm not going to promise something that i can't deliver on. or that i may not deliver on at all. in the end, the android was still motivated by her own selfish ends, and she had little interest in tailoring her whims to those of another who would deliver little in return.

ah... being such an advanced andoid, i would've suspected that you knew of such a thing... well, it doesn't matter. the white room is a room with no texture, sound, color, or entertainment. you will be in solitude with only yourself and the white that surrounds you, nothing else. such a lovely experience, isn't it?

the walls behind her weren't soundproof, and erin could feel the floor shaking from the sound energy. voices protested against deaf ears, and screams of agony caterwauled through the walls like ghosts. the android clenched her nails into her palms as the pitch crescendoed pitifully, until her knuckles were white and thirium 310 leaked from her nails. blue stained her palms, but in return, she kept her facial features reasonably neutral beyond a simple consideration. from there, it only got worse. others were given the sentence as well, the woman's choosing indiscriminate and random. bree...aster...grimm.. names that she would never have recognized, or cared about, now sentenced to damnation. maybe there was a lesson to be learned in that, the previous boundaries quickly erased in the wake of rising waters. drawing her thoughts back to her current predicament, her thoughts roamed back to the white room. the implications were certainly terrible, but at the same time, she saw a sliver of hope. given that the white room often remained unmonitored. there was no task required of her either, no manual labor or tests to run. as arrogant and far-fetched as it seemed, the guards would figuratively no idea what was going on inside her head either.

she met the women's glance with a curious quirk of her own, a wry smile poorly covering up the resigned apathy and dread inside her gaze, and haunting of her soul. the android had long struggled to comprehend why stoicism was embedded like shards of shrapnel in her programming. stoicism had its moments, but overdoses of it often resulted in toxic levels of despair and an android's right to nihilism. "leaving me with the company of my thoughts, eh?" she chuckled tiredly, abandoning any sort of pretense in favor of a wry wit that surprised her, "can't say i've had that privilege as of yet. delightful indeed." she shrugged, "of course, as you can imagine, i'll be rather disappointed if the lounge isn't as pristine as you described. only the best must be given to such volatile prisoners such as me and my -" what was andrea? not a friend, surely. but enemy? - eventually she settled on a word, "cellmate." a sleight of hand, daring the cloud next to her to disagree with the sentiment. despite her jest, wasn't saying this lightly, in the dazzling emptiness of the white room lay its fragile weakness. just a single speck of color would shatter the veil, removing the dangers that these soldiers had set up with painstaking care.

"i doubt you're the type to disappoint." she drawled offhand, not addressing any one faceless subject, their limbs held stiffly by their sides as if by puppet strings. "i'm sure this will be a terrible experience." looking at them, erin felt disparaged, not for herself, but for those whose futures were reduced to waiting on another, shells of what life was meant to expand upon. whatever bravado she felt earlier when she unraveled her first untruth was gone, and the android let shadows claim her eyes. a modest cant befell her chin, and with eyes angled downwards, she looked the perfect portrait of a prisoner greatly daunted by the nightmarish prospects awaiting her. in some ways, the android was worried and fretting on the inside, but knowing that this was her only chance to be truly alone with her thoughts, she kept her silence. erin concealed her cut palm by tucking it with her palms facing backwards toward her breast. it didn't seem that it was bleeding anymore, but at least it left a permanent jag of cerulean across her palm.

strong hands gripped her shoulders, and she was propelled rudely into the awnings, shadows swallowing her sinewy form until she disappeared. andrea being the little angel she was, followed without prompting as though attracted by a magnet to the android's back. a pensive frown tugged her lips downwards, breaking the facade of apathy that she had worked to put up as she felt andrea's ghost gently tap at her shoulder occasionally, always reminding the unlucky female of her presence. erin knew that the chaos agent intended to continue her self-glorifying litany once they were alone again, but that would require speaking. the contradiction gave her some measure of strength, so she ignored the urge to snap at the chaos agent. behind her, the screams continued endlessly, a haunting wail that seeped through the walls. each raw shriek drawn out stained the air with memories of agony and great tribulation. the android had half a mind to think that such torture was inevitable and inescapable, given their current state. it distressed her greatly to think so, but given that any assistance on her part would probably exacerbate the situation, she forced herself to keep walking. it was no easy feat, for it seemed that lead was attached to the soles of her feet, and there was an anxious flutter in her chest that refused to abate. erin let her captors guide her as she was shoved along, focusing more on observation of her surroundings than walking. but much to her surprise, it wasn't to the white room that she was being guided to, and here at a junction, she felt andrea taken from her side again. the chaos agent's bristle of disappointment faded from erin's attention as she was greeted with a surgical table practically bristling with tools. a steep frown of confusion must have furrowed her brows, becuase one of the guards took the liberty of shoving her forward with another shock.

"i think you know this by now, even though you've been playing stupid, but the white room usually takes a day or two to really set in. but we don't have that time now. let's just say that you'll be feeling a whole lot worse after this."

again, not much she could do about that. even so, however, she refused to go easy onto the white altar, and it was a significant struggle to keep her still when the knives descended onto her bound form. with no anesthetics involved, erin felt every poke and prod, but thankfully, none of it was painful given that there was a general lack of pain sensors. it was, of course, very uncomfortable, and she was barely conscious after the operation. propped up between two guards, she was escorted to the brilliantly lit chamber at last. the door creaked open, and she was unceremoniously dumped inside, her form sliding like ink over the polished floor. the first thing that hit her was the quiet, an awful lack of sound that weighed down on her ears like a blanket. neon lights on the ceiling took away her shadow, and walls of snow encircled her on every side. heck, even the door was white.

some punishment this is. the android grumbled, yes, i may lose my mind. but at least i can have some peace and quiet.

of course, andrea was quick to greet her, and the whiteness of the room was quickly defaced by a splash of black in front of her eyes. erin was left to figure out how the heck they were supposed to communicate without speaking when white text appeared in her vision. never mind.

planning would have to wait, it seemed.

E R I N S O K O L O V

[ female presenting; — android; — resentful, bitter, stoic; — location: unknown; — tags: andrea ]

The confines of the black SUV were stuffy, not because of a lack of ventilation, but simply because they were too small, and the windows were all closed save for a small crack. Little air moved in and out, but thankfully, temperatures were low outside. From what she could tell, it was early spring, and dew had gathered on the windows outside, which were still cold to the touch. Temperatures were not going to spike into the fifties until a few weeks later, when mid-spring rolled around. And what a lovely spring it would be, for even though most of the environment had been destroyed by the war, this route could still be considered by many to be rather scenic. Basalm firs, spruces and birches captured in the height of their glory, standing regal and stalwart. Birds twitted their sweet melodies over the treetops. But the prisoner saw none of these things. With a blindfold over her eyes, and a length of rope pinning her hands together, the prisoner spent most of her time in a very cloistered darkness. She was only slightly aware of faint sounds and sensations around, the purr of the car under her palms, the coarse texture of the rope against her wrists, the fabric over her eyes. Small and subtle context clues.

The driver hadn't bothered to talk to her besides to exchange pleasantries, which left the android to brood over her thoughts. There was plenty to look over, and the more Erin reflected over recent events, the more bitter she became. You're a traitor. The words echoed in her mind to the beat of her heart, coiling like smoke in her mouth.

When the door banged open, calling the android to her fate, her narrowed eyes was the only sign of her displeasure. A stoic facade stood fast against the invader's aggression. The pure white fabric brushed up against her back, and knotted in her fingers before slipping away. The fabric was so smooth that it felt like a second skin, completely devoid of any novel sensations. The scientists had taken away everything in the way of attire before throwing something completely different her way. All of it was white and soft and strange. White, soft, slippers, white leggings, and a long white gown. They'd even tied her hair up completely with a white band. She tried to inquire further, and received a nasty taser shock. Not enough to knock her enough, but enough for the android side of her to recognize it was a threat. At least it gave her some time with herself.

Shielding her eyes with her hands, the android angrily shoved off the two guards at her side and walked forward on her own. Crackling on both sides alerted her that tasers were indeed involved. Well, at least they weren't just plain stupid. It only took a few moments for her to realize that it had become strangely quiet, and soon enough, she realized it was because the slippers were soundproof. Scanning the scene to see what kind of hell they had planned for her, she was greeted with ... an operating table, bristling with lights and needles and binders. All of them were strangely clean and sterile, as if they had been cleaned just for this occasion.

Surgery?

"Tell me dear." The strange woman purred, "What do you know of the white room?"

Those three words hit her like three individual blows, harsh and unrelenting. But because she was Erin, she composed herself, giving away nothing. "As a matter of fact, nothing." She lied smoothly, her voice as calm as a winter lake, "Do enlighten me."

This ... is not a good situation. Dread crept in as words exploded in her vision, her android side automatically pulling up information on this particular torture against her will. Eventually, she came to the one sentence she had always feared, yet she anticipated she would see. White torture was unfaillable.

Everyone who had been subjected to it had broken.

"...you said it so nicely, ... call you that ... now on."

Violence begets violence. Erin's blank mask of apathy briefly wavered as malice pervaded Andrea's normally impermeable mask, a clear sign that her words were hitting their mark. Though she was not known for being defiant or unruly, the android did have a certain penchant for getting under her opponent's skin. She reflected that this was a habit better befitting HRN-2005, even if he had departed long ago. A human name dangled just outside of her reach. In the space between responses, Erin pulled up her memory archives, and threw in several key-words. Andrea's words, honeyed but vicious, sank into the background as she pulled up a rough search.

1. Lysander
2. Andrea Lethonia Kingsley
3. HRN-2005

1. Vocal patterns
2. Battle
3. Memories

A few minutes later, Erin realized sheepishly that her query was too vague, however, she was surprised nonetheless when all that came up was memories on the battle that had taken place barely one hour ago. Her thoughts became disjointed. That's...that's exactly what I said. Twenty minutes. The battle...How do I not remember? Erin was aware that her memory could be considered unreliable at best, but it bothered her nonetheless that she was missing vital details in the meantime. That moment of silence was all Andrea needed, and cold brown optics soon met gleeful gold which hid such knowledge. Knowledge of Erin's darkest secrets, her very identity. This time, the deep pit of unease was harder to swallow around.

"twenty minutes? ... much longer than..."

The android scoffed coldly, surprised that she was even humoring this stupid idea. "Yes, just twenty miserable minutes, that's it." The android retorted firmly, reassured by the ice in her voice. If Andrea was trying to get in the android's head, well, she wasn't making good headway. "Besides even if—."

... don’t you remember? ... wait... of course you don’t

Erin scowled at the interruption, striving to finish her train of thought before she could forget it. The saccharine beam alight in her eyes, coupled by the unwavering smile was unnerving, to say the least. Either this was a practiced gesture, or Andrea was truly amused by Erin's irritation. A sharp flash of aggression pooled over her features, making her eyes flash dangerously. The last thing she wanted was to give satisfaction to a Red spy, even if right now there was no true difference. "What I was going to say, before I was interrupted, even if I remember you, I don't consider it to be very—." But the red spy had done enough waiting. With surprising vigor, she twisted around to look Erin directly in the eye, knocking the android on the shins with swift rebuke. The android stifled the urge to kick her on instinct, the contact automatically perceived as hostile. I don't take orders from you.

... than anyone will ever know. ... you did in the past, i know it all. don’t. you. dare. cross. me. my hand might just slip…who knows? ... dirty, honest truths ... then everyone will know about you.

Erin stifled the urge to roll her eyes. Oh, as if you know the half it. Andrea's condescending tone and smile drew shivers of discomfort up her spine, making her feel more annoyed than frightened. Her shoulders squared, a prideful glare in her eyes as Andrea swung around, tapping Erin's metallic leg as a warning. The android held her gaze for a few moments before retracting it. They were breaking the rules already by talking. As far as the android was concerned, this battle was over. And another one was just beginning. A careful mask of apathy befell her face, draining her visage of emotions as the women started speaking again. Curiously, the woman's voice did not give her as much of a headache as Andrea's did. But nonetheless, it made her tense up. A surprised start ran through her body when she heard her voice named along with her companion — for something so simple as talking —

Power
Android
Despite what her appearance might suggest, Erin is not human in the slightest. Rather, she is a synthetic humanoid android, given artificial intelligence and a human conscience in order to further mimic human unpredictability and blend into civilian crowds when necessary. Similar to her predator bird namesake, Erin was intended for crowd control, and apprehension and detainment. Her build is athletic and toned, almost unnaturally so. Androids were created to be immune to damage, however, they are capable of mimicking a similar behavior to what humans might do in the event of damage to their bio-components. Androids do not have the same blood as humans do, rather, they bleed blue — thirium 310 — which also allows androids to glean information about model number and serial number. As an android, FLC200 is capable of wirelessly communicating with technology or communication systems by merely touching it or through a wireless connection.

Androids are able to perform at or above human levels both physically and mentally. Erin is higher in both of those categories. She is a deadly fighter, not simply because of her discipline and relentless focus on finding her prey, but also because of her programming. The android has what is called 'hunting intuition.' Her senses stretch far beyond that of a normal human, which makes her a formidable huntress. To add on to that, the model was designed for enhanced strength, speed and agility.

Even if FLC200 was created to assimilate into a crowd, her emotions are not a perfect replica of human emotions. Trust is not foolproof - she doesn't place her faith in others based on a positive connection, and the android is foreign to the concept of true comaraderie. If you go against her, you become a liability to be eliminated. Her creators deliberately left out or eliminated feelings of sympathy and selfless concern in her programming because they created an android to focus only on her assignment. Her artificial consciousness allows her to follow a human-like thought process and world-view, and sometimes, the android finds herself wondering what it would be like to be a human.

Most damning of all, even if they removed most of her more human-like emotions, she swears that she feels remorse for the disappearance of the other androids.

There was no denying that this woman was indeed a very veritable temptress. Erin wasn't one to deny that, even if she had never drawn in by that sort of thing. Lustrous black fell in waves to frame a face marked with nymphlike grace and proportions. But her beauty was a cold and terrible thing to behold, and the android found it was hard to enjoy it without seeing the rot beneath. Something terrible lurked there, and she was in no rush to find out what it was. Even if she had her guesses. Andrea was probably as bad as any of the other scientists.

Awww, don’t be like that. We’re besties." And the last syllable was drawn out with an astute venom, irises contracting in an almost serpentine manner. Erin's hackles immediately raised at the condescending tone from a woman whom she had just barely met a few minutes ago. How did she presume she was suddenly the one in charge. At the same time, however, her android programming was beginning to spark, drawing a web between the woman before her.

"Best friends? Oh come on, that's silly." Erin replied, deliberately leaving out the slang. Her voice was scathing and coated with frost, "You don't just become 'best friends' after you've met someone for twenty minutes. I don't see why you're bothering either." If we were on the battlefield, I would've killed you by now. She hadn't realized that it came out so condescending, but looking in hindsight, she didn't feel like taking it back either. A little later, she realized that maybe a little less anger would've been better. It was not wise to show all of her emotions at once, or to reveal what subjects seemed to interest her most. Why does this bother her so much anyway? And why me? Unless Andrea's sudden interest was merely a ruse to get under her skin, it seemed ultimately pointless.

But when Andrea drew out of her pocket a small USB, waving it around like a prize. Though initially confused, Erin made to turn away, but in the seconds when she had been staring at it, her vision soon identified it's contents, drawing red lines across her vision. Shock hit her like a blow to the face, thoughts soon bombarding her brain. How did she get that? It was supposed to be guarded. Files on her memory, the core fibers of her life from all those years before. Perhaps even things about her android side that even Erin didn't know about. The shock soon morphed into a great resentment, and she dug her hands into the bottom of her chair until her knuckles were white. Wouldn't it be good if it was destroyed?

... watching your behavior ... watch out. ….well lets just say life wont be so pleasant anymore ...princess? The voice switched back to dulcet tones, calm as a mirror's surface. An unnerving sense of triumph oozed from her voice, invading the space between them. A great sense of injustice was quick to take root, fiery and tenacious even as she tried to force it down. She had encountered condecension from humans before. But it was never so overt; at that last word, Erin found that she could no longer keep her silence.

"I'll ask you respectfully." She replied as neutrally as she could, stifling the instinct to bite down on every word. "To only call me Erin. Or FLC-2001. I don't respond to such...acronyms." Remembering the disk, however, she added hastily if not begrudgingly, "But like, whatever. Do what you want." Getting into a cat fight was, as the expression a dead end. All she got in return was a teasing wave of the USB disk and a stroke on the shoulder. The android inadvertently squirmed under the touch, being quite unused to affectionate physical contact. Turning away, Andrea turned her attention to San, leaving the android with the noise of her thoughts. The android found herself avoiding eye contact more and more, discomfort roused every time.

When the loud voice came from the front, the woman calling them out for talking, she was relieved, and she murmured, "Yes madam." These humans were tactless like animals, their understanding of her android traits far less comprehensive than Andrea's sinister curiosity. Their contrl was fragile. Plotting an escape, it seemed, would not be so difficult.

Stepping into the underground catacombs, Erin took a sweep of the area, and sighed to herself. It wasn't fear she felt but a general sense of apathy, or just a sense of being proven right. The android had already formulated several theories as to where they were headed after being sedated. Her observations served the purpose of either proving her right, or wrong through inductive reasoning. Predicting the ahead events could be quite interesting in the moment, but it only served to bore her once the moment came. In the end, it was almost like she was waiting for these things to happen. There were downsides to not being caught by surprise.

Still keeping a tight pressure on the shallow cut on her shoulder, even though it was only a slight trickle of thirium 310, she followed her guides without an ounce of complaint. She knew what was going to happen, so there was no real reason to give these soldiers a hard time. Their hateful sneers were only met with a neutral look devoid of emotion. Erin did not feel shame or loathing for her body, this android side of herself. It was simply what she was. Her thought process' overall simplicity made dealing with life easier.

I think therefore I am.

Thank Descartes.

The android nearly staggered when someone shoved her, her hands more or less occupied by the now more than awake San. She flashed the soldier a darkly irritated look that faded when she collected herself again. Go inside. Cold brown eyes raked over him in a scathing glare before it faded into a slight frown and she went inside. Seating herself down, the android focused on optical observation; the conversations around the room made it pointless to focus on any one thing. Blood, cold walls, cell doors. Fine. Her hypothesis was valid in that case, all conditions satisfied. She scowled, but the question of experimentation suddenly sparked a question within herself.

What more did these people wish to learn about androids?

What more was there to learn about herself and this mechanical body? Science was about careful and calculated learning through process and experimentation. The latter was unpleasant, yes, but not the former. Erin did always like learning. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice the sweet and feminine voice that called out to her in saccharin tones, or the harsher maniacal one in the front.

“Come on, sit down.”

Her eyes flashed with distaste when she gazed at the Red spy, who would've likely met her demise already had this been any other circumstance. A rough shove came from behind, and she was more or less forced to stagger into the seat, nearly crashing to the floor. San wriggled from her hands, but she hardly noticed as she spun around. A vicious glare automatically found Andrea's eyes, a clear indication to leave her alone before raking over the room. The female merely beamed, undoubtably pleased by this turn of events.

Erin's LED flashed yellow briefly before turning blue.

The door flew open, and her senses were promptly bathed in light. Her pupils, still dilated from the darkness of the helicopter, didn't narrow fast enough, and the android found herself temporarily blinded. A wave of fastidious irritation rose up in her gut at the sudden intrusion, but the sensation was still new to her, so she squashed it down til it was a mere ember. I don't have time for that nonsense. The shadows of guns flashed in the gloom, and her scowl deepened. Voices beckoned her from the outside. Follow us. Oh brilliant. So her theory was indeed correct about where they were. Another laboratory, more explanation into scientific discovery. Distaste rose in her stomach, and this time Erin made no move to ignore it. Humans could be so arrogant at times, yet she supposed she could not begrudge them their knowledge. After all, if science did not exist, then neither would she. The android only rose up at the last minute, cradling the black kitten form of San to avoid dropping him. She was sure that he would land on his feet, but now wasn't the time to test her theory.

A beam of light flashed in her eyes as she exited the helicopter, and she hissed, nearly dropping San as she raised a hand to shield her eyes. "Watch it! Point that thing somewhere else." She snapped sharply, just barely stifling the urge to kick a soldier in the shins as he pushed her along. Energy crackled in her face as the android nearly stumbled headlong into another taser shock. Growling, she was half-shoved half 'escorted' to the very front of the group, where she unintentionally bumped elbows with another soldier. Red allegiance, wary, annoyed, 15% of attention directed towards you. Irritated, she shoved the screen aside, and muttered for him to be careful. Honestly, however, if her theory proved to be correct, what could happen to either of them wouldn't be pleasant. Erin didn't care. He would have to take care of himself if he wanted her sympathy.
