"Well, it seems my theory on Percy's murder is out the window. I would like to take the time to try and form another one, but I don't think I can convince you any more than I've already tried.

Well... good luck to the last villagers? I hope this will be somewhat entertaining to spectate from the afterlife."

"How was my suggestion suspicious? If anyone else can prove that liquid in Percy's mouth was something else, I'd happily listen to them. I figured the liquid must have been used in some way for his murder, and if normal alcohol was off the table then there were few flammable alternatives I could think of. It could have also been gasoline, as the Mayor said, but nobody put forward any other theories or disagreed with me on the matter."

"I would have thought accusing people who have tried to be helpful would be low on your priority list. But if this is really what you think happened, I have no choice but to respond and prove myself innocent.

For the first murder, I can understand your point of view. The lack of evidence was fairly incriminating, but that only makes the few pieces of evidence stick out like a sore thumb if you truly think I killed Karen. If I was the killer, and used my so called 'shadow powers' to kill Karen, why was there an obvious physically-inflicted wound on her corpse? Under what circumstance would I allow her scarf to be taken away from her body?

For your second argument, you're forgetting one major clue from the crime scene; the mark in the chimney. If I 'phased' through the walls to kill Percy and escape, that mark should not have been there for any reason. Mandy would have also known if I had tried to steal items from his medkit, since he is always carrying it around. Even for me, it would be difficult to steal items from a pokemon who always has them on hand. A pokemon who cannot phase through things must have committed this murder for that mark to even exist.

And for the third murder, you're making the awfully quick assumption that hypnosis was used to lure Jason to the noose. If you noticed, Riko said that his neck was also hit from behind, and the wounds were not from rope marks. This wound is very incriminating, as a blow from behind could easily have rendered Jason unconscious and given the killer an opportunity to hang him. Ghosts such as myself are not physically strong at all, so the mere idea of a ghost attacking Jason from behind at full force physically, and then lifting up his heavy body to hang him, is impossible.

Are those alibis good enough for you? For somebody who makes accusations without even considering all of the evidence, and has barely shared any alibis of his own, you are quite demanding. You are slightly suspicious to me, but looking back on my deductions and thoughts on this murder you aren't at the top of my suspect list. I still firmly believe the killed is physically strong, is fairly thin, and has access to things such as rubbing alcohol and surgical knives. Plus, they also seem to know exactly where to hit someone to render them unconscious.

I once again accuse Mandy of being the murderer!"

Shaking his head, Isaac sighed. "Considering the first murder, we completely ruled out Gokul since he couldn't have done that murder in heavy rain. If he wasn't the murderer then, he couldn't be the one who did this murder.

Besides, if it was Gokul, why would there be a mark in Percy's chimney? He is too large to fit there, and if he exited the house normally after burning Percy then Chris would have likely seen his giant silhouette against the flames. No, I think that the killer must have used Percy's chimney in some way to commit this murder. Since that chimney is small, I'm going to rule out Gokul, Jason and Chris from my suspects. They are simply too large to have fit in that chimney.

Besides, I think the biggest clue we have is that mysterious liquid we found in Percy's mouth. I am confident that this liquid must have been used to start the fire, and furthermore, I suspect this liquid is in fact medical rubbing alcohol. The Mayor may have said Percy was not the... type of 'mon to drink, but if he was forced to ingest rubbing alcohol then this could have enabled the murderer to use Percy's own power against him. Think about it; if someone came to your house in the middle of the night, and forced you to drink a strange liquid, you would want to defend yourself. If Percy had attempted to use flamethrower on his assailant... well, I think we all know what happened after that.

The windows and door being open would have allowed more oxygen to go to the fire, and in Percy's panic he may have ran around, igniting his bed in the process. Or maybe he tried to roll around in the bed to stop the fire? Who knows. The increase of oxygen would have made these efforts futile, and led to him being burnt to death. But where could the killer have gone? The flames would have made their silhouette easily visible if they tried to exit normally, and Chris may have even spotted them if they tried to do that.

The mark on the chimney is probably from where the killer escaped the house, in order to prevent Chris from spotting them or simply to avoid being caught in the fire. Only a small or thin Pokemon could have managed to climb out of there.

Honestly? I almost hope I'm not right. I can't even begin to believe that anyone, let alone this Pokemon, could have killed Percy in such a cruel way. But if we consider who would have access to rubbing alcohol, would have to use Percy's own attacks against him due to their type, and who would be thin enough to climb up a chimney, there is only one person I can think of.

I blame Mandy of being the murderer!"

Staring at the burnt carcass, Isaac felt a small chill run down his spine. Smashing someone against rocks were one thing, but setting them on fire to burn alive? It just seemed... so unnecessarily cruel. But this time he had to get it right, or another innocent villager would die.

"I'm... going to need some time to think about this. Although I have a faint idea of what might have happened.

While the Mayor says that Percy wouldn't drink normal alcohol... is there any chance that liquid may be rubbing alcohol?"

How could he have been so foolish to allow a spite vote to kill an innocent member of the village?
"I knew I should have changed my vote when I had the chance... I suppose all we can do is wait until tomorrow. Although it is kind of strange how neither Chris or Jason have attempted to defend themselves from my suspicion."

The Gengar grimaced, listening to all the other Pokemon argue between themselves."We need to work together on this, guys. By having the votes so strung out we are giving the killer exactly what they want, and accusing each other without considering the evidence won't help any of us!"

"Everyone needs to share the reasons behind their accusations now. Or if not, at least share your theories and back them up with evidence from the crime. If we all share our opinions we can see what is true and what could be misleading us, and we need leads desperately.

As a recap, I think we call agree that Percy and Gokul couldn't have possibly done this murder. Their typing would have put their lives at risk in the rain, and their moves wouldn't have even worked in such heavy weather. If this is true, then neither of them are the killer.

While parts of my original theory I believe to be outdated, I still think that the wound on Karen's body was from the corpse colliding with the rocks, which would also potentially explain why her scarf was not with her body when it drifted ashore. I don't think the killer needed to remove the scarf to murder Karen, which still leaves drowning as a probable cause of death. However, the killer may have also used the rocks to murder Karen by beating or throwing her body against them, which would explain the wound and scarfs location.

If this is the case, then I would start by suspecting the more physically strong Pokemon. I won't take back my vote on Chilli just yet, but now I am beginning to suspect Jason the Krookodile and potentially Chris the Cacturne."

After his rather long outburst, Isaac shifted his eyes back to the Zubat that had originally accused him. "I suppose I can understand your reasons for suspecting me... but I can assure you, I would not be so desperate to work with and share my theories with strangers if I was truly the killer."

"Really? That's why you're blaming me?"
Isaac huffed, and tried to cross his small arms.

"If I could 'kill without leaving a trace', why is there an obvious wound on her corpse? If I made her kill herself, for what reason would I allow the scarf be moved from her body? I had no motive to kill her, and whoever did this was sloppy in their actions."

He sighed, rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Besides, even though I'm a ghost, I prefer to go out when the weather is actually halfway decent. The rain makes me feel heavy, and I was far happier last night in the darkness of my own home."

As he looked back on his theory, Isaac realised some of the facts didn't make sense.
"Wait, I may have been hasty in some of my accusations. I remember now... it was raining fairly heavily on the night of the murder. Even if Gokul isn't afraid of the water, the downpour would have surely put out the flame on his tail. And the same would go for Percy since he is also a fire type."

Thinking back on what the other Pokemon have said, he reached a new conclusion. "Since the weather didn't permit it, I think Gokul and Percy are innocent and couldn't even leave their houses. So I take back my vote upon Gokul, and I hope he can forgive me rash accusation.

I now blame Chilli of being the murderer!"

Isaac scowled at the Zubat, clearly angered by the sudden accusation.
"You blame me because of my species? And have no actual evidence from the scene of the crime to back you up? Awfully quick to place the blame on somebody, Chilli. I have no reason to murder somebody I don't know, especially when I just came to live here."

Closing his eyes, he tried to think. What was off about the crime scene? Anything that could link somebody else to the murder? The rain had probably removed most evidence of another Pokemon, but who else would dare to brave the storm in an attempt to kill?
"I propose... that we don't completely rule out that Charizard yet. Yes, there are no obvious scratch marks on the scarf, but perhaps he didn't need to use his claws to murder. We don't know where that mark came from, correct? And there's no proof that a Pokemon removed that scarf intentionally either."

Looking at the Charizard in question, Isaac narrowed his eyes slightly. "I will admit, I always thought that his ability to not be afraid of the water was strange. Gokul could have easily drowned Karen with his strong arms under the water to leave no marks, and attempted to let the body drift downstream and away from the actual scene of the crime. The scarf between the rocks shows at least some movement from the corpse, and if it became untied by itself then obviously there would be no marks on it to show a Pokemon intentionally removed it."

Nodding to himself as he finalised his theory, the Gengar spoke up once more.
"I believe that mark on Karen's corpse was from where the corpse struck the rocks. The body drifted back onto the shore, while the scarf became untied from the body and stuck onto the rocks. Even as a water type, Karen would have had no chance to fight back or escape from the strength of a non water fearing Charizard. The rain would have easily washed away Gokul's footprints, or he could have just used his wings to prevent any trace of himself being at the river."

Isaac turned to the Mayor, eager to dispel the suspicion over him and prove he was useful to the village.
"I blame Gokul of being the murderer!"

Right now I'm fluctuating between the Rocky Caves and Eternal Tower. Once I get those decently levelled I'll look into getting everything else high level so I can make some progress on my Kalos legend quest.
